Before school finished in July, i told my son (7) that this summer we are going to make a game together, and asked him to come up with an idea.

Quest Ranger was born

His idea was an educational game for primary school. It is still very much a work in progress, but it combines maths, english, science, 11 plus preparation, and has some rewards and arcades.

The activities are age gated so only appropriate activities show up, it was originally designed for a 7 year old for obvious reasons, but then expanded for the whole of primary school.

This week we were adding activities for pre-school/reception as his little sister (4) wanted to play, so we added counting, colour, shape, object idenfying, patterns, sorting...

i'm hoping to add reading books to it at some point soon.

Hey, everyone. I wanted to share a free curriculum review website designed to be space 1) to “see what’s out there” in terms of curriculum, and 2) for anyone to leave and read reviews (1-5 rating scale) on curriculum. Finding concise reviews in one place has been a struggle for me so I thought this would be helpful for anyone who is reviewing programs. It’s essentially a catalog with several hundred programs listed.
