Muzzling your hound
Hi all, due to a very horrible and unfortunate incident of my dog reacting badly to someone, we have no choice but to muzzle him as a last resort, to keep others safe. (We also have training booked with a specialist clinical trainer to help with underlying issues)
I know it’s the right thing to do but I am really upset about this, as I know that no matter how much muzzle training I do, he is going to hate it. Like all hounds, he is stubborn and wants to do things HIS way. I feel so sad that he won’t enjoy walks like he used to. I would appreciate it if anyone with a muzzled hound can drop any tips and also pics of your muzzled pooches. I am following a training regime to get him used to the muzzle but we all know hounds are different to other dogs 🤣Thank you all!
