Any gun that folds is cool. Bow needed adjustment, not sure how the nerf will be in practice. I thought the ammo reduction was unnecessary.
I’m most stoked for the event that will run during Halloween. Festive spooky events are a blast imo.

The nerf will achieve nothing, it didnt even touch what was making the bow op.
It was a token attempt to get people to stfu

What makes the bow OP to you?

u/Cindergeist 5h ago
The ability to one one shot art armss and legs No other weapon does that. Ontop of that its compelelty silent, gives heavy bleed, is size 3, cheap often free, recoverable ammo, decent fire rate, and you can just wank off with a full drawn for as long as possible
Is has so much going for it and no real down side besides walking slightly slower when drawn.
I know people cry well the bow is hard to use. No it isnt.

The main thing is that the bow just gets to be a PVP weapon and an efficient utility PVE weapon with no real downsides. Like it just gets to do everything at the ranges most fights occur at (in compounds/boss lairs/event locations) with no real downsides. Like sure you don’t get to take long range fights, but…that’s already an aspect of the game. You take fights in locations best suited to the weapon you’re using. The bow just happens to be better at that.

Yup pretty much. This nerf only slighty weakens what it was already weak at and no one was using it like that. So effectively changing nothing

It's probably the BEST PvE item in the game. You kill zombies with a single tap of the button. Two tap armored with poison. Insane damage to all bosses. You can just facetank butcher with poison arrows without any perks. Infinite ammo. The fact an elephant rifle is less tethal than stick and a piece of metal is ridiculous.

There definitely are downsides tbh. Im not saying it's not really strong, but a major downside that people tend to overlook is that you can not move fast/aggressive on picks while still being able to hold the bow at charge

You can, you just cant do it at full draw. Jump firing mid air is incredibly powerful, especially with poison arrows. You still do a shit ton of damage. Cause bleeding, and poison them so they can't heal. Even an arm shot does enough damage to make pretty every weapon in the game onetap to the chest. And if you keep harassing them they cant stop the bleed. Everything is put into the power of the bow user, and if someone pushes them with a shotgun, even a halfdraw to the arm will cause a trade.

Halfdraw to the arm will not cause a trade, but you're entitled to your opinion

the fact that a shot in an arm with any type of penetrating ammo from an angle where the torso is right behind it should net you arm damage *plus* single-wooden-board-reduced torso (upper/lower) damage.
it's not that the bow is super op, it's that firearm damage calculation behaves wrongly in certain hit constellations.

Nitro does but that it's entire thing, and as someone who loves running it. It sucks.
Also I agree, bow to op, they should need it's spam tho. Being able to insta kill anyone by spamming it is to strong.
Nothing should be that strong.

Does nitro? Ive gotten a ton of hits with it with no kills. I dont think ive ever gotten a one hit kill with the nitro. I know its meant to

Shredder. Unless they have a no life level of skill it kills with the bleed. I mean 1 tick is a lil small.

Don't forget poison arrows apply bleed and poison. It's literally as good as the Nitro minus the pen for literally like... A fifth the cost?

When my friend said extract shooter I didn't think they meant excrete shooter

New shotgun, bow nerf, nice. Dealing with shotguns much easier than that 1 guy sitting on his butt at compound for 20 minutes to one shot you in the torso from 34 meters

The bow did need a range nerf only cause it is a more consistent one tap then a crossbow and nitro both are more expensive, bigger slots, and have more ramifications if you miss. But otherwise it doesn’t need much. The ammo was not needed. Excited for shotgun.

Future of this game - everything is deleted and nerfed. Except shotguns and low/mid rifles. Less playable variants.

u/TheJeeronian 6h ago
The shotgun+rifle combo is too meta. The bow was always a balance problem, but going back to a less diverse meta doesn't seem right either.
Be nice if we could go back to loadouts forcing you to choose.

I think part of the problem is the game is so different at MMR 3 and MMR 6.
6 * min max everything and rarely take anything less than a Mosins, Berthier now that it's a three slot, and some shotgun or lemat.
Three stars may not see the issue since they play whatever without really being at a disadvantage.

u/Frequent_Macaron9595 6h ago
6* solo queue is where it’s nice it seems, we not mix maxing, we like to mix it up.

u/TheJeeronian 6h ago
The playerbase at large complaining about 'camping' is how we got here. Good players didn't have the issue.
I try to stay in lower lobbies with goofier loadouts but it kills me to get jumped by a team of snipers only to push them and get fed slugs at fifteen yards from a guy camping in a bish. It really sucks the fun out gameplay when the long-time solution to campers (engage them in a different context) no longer applies. There is no context where they are at a disadvantage from their chosen positioning.

To be fair, we are kinda just getting a lot of things reverted from the 2.0 patch which was bonkers balance-wise.
