So about 2 1/2 weeks ago, I made a post asking for advice on how to deal with this and a lot of of you all recommended that I go to the hospital, but due to not having insurance, I wanted to wait until October when I get insurance.

Well, I ended up going to the emergency room because of this constant scratchy throat, and the feeling that a small piece of food was stuck, that’s been going on for about two months.. They looked in my throat and found nothing, but as I was sitting there, I immediately started pouring sweat, and the doctor‘s eyebrow raised up. She asked if I had any diagnosis for the sweating and I said no it just started about three months ago. That’s when she said that she wanted to do an ultrasound on my throat.

Almost immediately the vibe in the room just went to shit. They found a solid mass on my thyroid. About 70% of it is on the right lobe and the rest is on the Isthmus. As they were doing the ultrasound, they put this really long needle in for a biopsy. She said not to worry most of the time it’s just benign, but she was gonna refer me to an endocrinologist anyways. I met with him and he confirmed the biopsy showed cancerous cells and scheduled to have some test done.

On Wednesday, I had a MRI done, blood drawn, and another biopsy done on the back of my neck, and today I met with the endocrinologist again.

The tumor is cancerous, it’s in my lymph nodes, and it spread to and found lesions on my C3 C4 and C5 vertebrae. The official diagnosis is Stage 3 follicular, thyroid cancer with confirmed metastasis

I’m gonna meet with the doctor again soon to come up with a treatment plan

I was still getting comments on my last post so I thought I would post an update if anybody was interested.

Some of my terminology might be wrong. I’m a bit overwhelmed, and it was like he was speaking a foreign language talking about this so I apologize if some of it is the wrong. It all happened so quick. All of the tests and scans. I didn’t expect it to move along that fast, he said he just wanted to get everything checked out as quickly as possible

Sorry to hear that! I got my whole thyroid gland removed (thyroid cancer) 10+ years ago when I was having similar symptoms and more. Now im on thyroid medication for the rest of my life and im just as sweaty as the picture you posted. Not diagnosed with hyperhidrosis or anything but im sure going to mention it to my doctor in 2 weeks. (Excessive sweating recently started about 3 months ago). Recovery process is not too bad. Damn, I’m sorry man. If anything, thank you for sharing your story so that other people that may have a similar situation and not know can hopefully get checked out by a doctor sooner. Seriously hope things go better from here on out and I hope they can make you cancer free one day

Yeah he had already mentioned with how and where it has spread to treatment doesn’t usually lead to cure, but because I’m 27 he said we can be more aggressive with the treatment and he warned me that it’s gonna be really aggressive, but didn’t really go too much detail.

I spent hours yesterday on Google and I think that was a bad decision. It was hard for me to even get out of bed and go to work today. Just mentally drained and a feeling of helplessness.

I don’t know. I’m sure everything will be all right.

Damn this reminded me I have a small growth on my thyroid that I was told not to worry about a couple years back. Maybe it's time I get it looked at again. Thanks for the update bro, the awareness this spreads is so important. Take care and best of luck with your treatment.

Man thats awful to hear and I hope you beat it. Im not a doctor but you may wanna look into fasting. Ive read alot of comments from people having alot of luck doing some long fasts and “getting rid” of cancer. But again, Im not a doctor. Prayers to you.
