For the most time of my life, I had a fridge where you just set the actual degrees you want your fridge to have.

Fridge broke, I was just wanting a simple solution so I bought a smaller fridge that had a dial from MIN -> NORMAL -> MAX

Immediately I thought "I want it cold. MINimum Temperature it is, so I set it to MIN.

10 Months later and I finally realized, MIN means that it uses the MINimum amount of power to actually cool the fridge down. So, I had my fridge on the warmest setting for 10 months and was just figuring "Yep, guess that's a cheap fridge". Fridge now went from 8 degrees Celsius to 3 degrees Celsius after setting it to MAX. I'm surprised I never got ill given I store raw meat often in there.
