AK-12M1 mud test

A test where the mud didn't get into the most vulerable spot of the AK, the frontal area of the carrier.

The InRange test is definitely more intense than this one and will show the upper limit of a weapon’s ability to work covered in basically liquid cement.

This video demonstrates more accurately the battlefield conditions in UA. You’re more likely to drop/throw a rifle into the muck of early spring than have a miniature landslide cover the action of the rifle.

Another thing to note that, there is no one set battlefield condition nowhere. The terrestrial variable is what makes mud very dangerous, especially in Ukraine, Belarus and Russia. They have the worst seasonal muds perhaps anywhere on the planet. True tank stopping, man killing muds if you have researched it, know it perhaps from historical records or have seen it now sadly.

Seasons on top of all that can make mud worse or, more managable on equipment.

The InRange tests are in fact not the toughest tests out there. They are closer to "real-world" conditions and are good for identifying weak points on guns. Such as that frontal locking lug area of the AK, and debris getting in the gun from the lip of the top cover and the front of the carrier. However, not all guns get the same amount of mud of the mud. That is a difficult task to do, if you have minimal resources. You would have to test all guns in one pit at the same time of day. At least that is how I would do it, to be more consistent. But this is an EXTREMELY complex topic I wrote at length about and perhaps there's something I overlooked. BUT! If I had to make a list about the most demanding mud tests I've ever seen.

However, there MIGHT be interesting things to see and learn about that compromised a design, or made it act strange in even the less than less formal tests. Such as random people throwing their guns in mud puddles.

It was not an intensive test, but that that patch of mud can disable a gun if it gets to the right place. You see, it did not get to the frontal part of the carrier, like I wrote. That is the weakest point on the AK.

I highly recommend you to watch other mud tests. It depends on a lot. And you will see how much of what mud it takes to stop a gun, even if not much stays on the gun.
