Pet Cat Help !!

Hey fellow pet parents! 🐾

My kitten sometimes does this. I’ve already had him examined by a vet and he’s currently on medication.

I’d love to hear from fellow pet parents, does anyone know what this could be or what might be causing it?

Note: He is NOT throwing up hairballs. Video recorded as requested by vet.

When my cat had a urinary blockage because of some crystals in the bladder, he was sitting like this, hunched and visibly stressed.
Please watch out for that. Take note of his litter box visit and whether he was able to pee and poop. If he is trying to visit the litter box and is not able to pee, or is having loose motion, please watch out.

Got his CBC, kidney liver and xray done 15 days before for neutering surgery. Vet said some allergic reaction leading to inflammation in wind pipe, but they don't know the cause.

If your vet has determined it isn’t something scary like urinary blockage, it may also just be a stuck hairball! My cats assume this stance and do a little cough when they have a bit of fur tickling their throat. Usually nothing comes out, it seems to be the equivalent of us going “ahem!” and clearing our throat. They don’t do the full vomit routine to actually hack up a hairball.

If your vet said he had some allergic inflammation in his throat, perhaps it is this. A Churu treat or something else wet that goes down easy may soothe it.
