Help Choose the Next Possets EDPs

Hi everyone — Tom from Possets here.

Last year we asked our customers whether Possets should begin offering some fragrances as EDP sprays. About 84% said yes, and the results helped us choose the first six EDPs.

Now we’re asking for your help again.

Which Possets perfumes would you most like to see offered as EDPs?

For this survey, you may nominate up to three Possets perfumes.

Here is the link to the survey.

[Survey link]

Feel free to discuss your choices here as well. We’d be very interested to hear why you think particular Possets perfumes would work especially well in EDP form. The comments in this thread will not count as nominations.

Thank you for helping us decide what comes next!

Makeup - Enquiry Eyeshadow palette recs?

I’m getting back into doing my makeup again and miss having all the palettes I used to have! 2016 palettes were my jam 😂

I have realized that indie brands are the way to go to get something other than a neutrals palette.

I want something with a magenta ideally but also something that I can use for more daily looks, too. Who do you recommend? Is there a specific palette? I like the idea of a fall palette but I neeed a good magenta pink in my life.

What are your favorite brands or palettes? I’m in the us if that helps.

Bath & Body - Enquiry looking for suggestions of lightweight fragrance free lotions!

hey everyone! i hope you all are doing well.

like the title says- i’m looking for recommendations for a new lotion. i’m a big believer of haus of gloi’s body emulsions and pumpkin butters but the unscented body emulsions are currently out of stock and in the meantime i’m wanting to try something new. are there any lotions from indie brands that you swear by? major bonus points if it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy on the skin. thank you!

Perfume - Enquiry Favorite Datura Scents 🤍

Post image
48 Upvotes

Hi all! In honor of my sacred Datura blooming for the first time (!!!!) I'd like to see if anyone has a favorite fragrance that utilizes the moonlight scent that is Datura. 🤍🌿✨

As an aside I am AWARE of how highly toxic this beauty is and I don't recommend touching/ingesting/utilizing it whatsoever unless you're certified (botanist, herbalist, etc.)!

Thanks in advance!

Discussion Influence/deinflunce my Pierrot Perfumery cart!

With the closure of Pierrot Perfumery imminent, I really need to buckle down and decide which scents I want to purchase! I've narrowed it down some but I don't know that I want to get all of them. I prefer scents that last and have at least some protection, so nothing that disappears quickly or works as a "your skin but better".

Here's what's in my cart currently: Doll Parts, It's Only a Paper Moon, Ghostheart, Killer Queen, The Holly and Ivy, Hallowtide Bride.

Thank you!

Little & Grim is closing at the end of the year :(

Not affiliated, just on their mailing list. Saw it and thought I’d share:

Hey, friends.

I’m afraid I’ve got some sad news: I’ll be closing Little & Grim at the end of this year. I’m so grateful to the folks who’ve supported us throughout this adventure, and I’m sorry if this news is upsetting. The reasons behind it are complicated and personal, but at the end it comes down to: It’s just time for this chapter to end so I can start writing the next one.

Details on how I plan to handle the shutdown are below. I'll notify folks of any changes via our email list (which, if you're reading this, you're already on -- thanks!), and via social media post. You’re also welcome to message me with our contact form if you have questions.

We’ll be open until midnight CST on December 12.At that point, the online shop will close. Any outstanding orders will be shipped normally after we close, although I’ll likely take a break for Christmas.

I suspect our TAT may lengthen due to increased order volume. If it goes beyond our current 21 days, I’ll notify you. I’m flying solo in our order fulfillment department (aka the other side of my office, haha), so I appreciate your patience in advance! If I get swamped, I’ll get help.

I’ve spent the last month shoring up our inventory, but we’re still gonna have things go out of stock faster than I can replenish them. I’ll restock as quickly as I can, but will prioritize getting existing orders out the door. I’ve added a “Notify me when this item is back in stock” form to anything that *can* be restocked, so I recommend using that to get updates. (It will also give me a very clear indication of what people want, so I can restock those items first.) Any item/scent that CANNOT be restocked will be added to the “Retiring Soon” collection. When those items are gone, they’re gone for good.

I’ve added a new 15 ml Euro dropper option to our oil perfume, and have stocked a few in any scent I thought was popular enough to warrant it. If there’s a scent you want a 15 ml Euro of, use the “Notify me” function I mentioned above and I’ll make some, and you'll automatically be notified when I add it to our inventory.

Our Made to Order section (liquid soap, room sprays, and lotion) has been updated with a slightly smaller available scent list. (There are certain scents that are already low on materials, and I’d like to save them for perfumery.)

As has been my practice, I’m happy to combine shipping if you place multiple orders. All I ask is that you let me know, preferably in a note on the actual orders. Make sure all combined orders have the same shipping address. If you combine orders that contain an alcohol product, the package will be sent via USPS Ground Advantage.

Please, please, PLEASE double-check your email and your shipping address when placing an order.I’d really hate for a final order to go astray because the address was wrong.

The rewards program will remain active for the time being. Some folks have been abusing the system a bit, so I may have to make some changes.

I hope to still have some fun LE treats this fall, but that’s dependent on my time and energy levels. I also hope to put up a virtual mini rummage sale for all the odd bits and bobs I’ve accumulated in the 8 years of L&G: new art prints and accessories, photo props, books, supplies, etc. (If you’re a fellow maker and are looking for anything in particular, message me!)

That’s it, folks. Thank you for being here. Building Little & Grim has been equal turns delightful and challenging. I’ve learned a ton and met some super rad people! The choice to close was a hard one to make, but the right one, I think. I’m half-emptied by grief with the change, but half-filled with excitement at what comes next. For a brand whose unofficial mascots are a pair of ghosts, that feels pretty apt. I hope to see you all on the other side. ♥️”

BPAL Newbie- What is worth trying first?

Brand new to BPAL. Their website and extensive list has always scared me a little. I purchased a couple semi random ones via some sunday destashes, but I haven't had a high hit rate. I want to give them a true try before I pass them off as not working for me. That being said, I have no idea where to start. I would love recommendations from anyone on what you think is best to start with. I like notes all a little all over the place.

Likes: patchouli, amber, soft ethereal vanillas, concrete (sometimes), rice, musk, nuts (almond, pistachio, etc), iris, sandalwood, white florals (especially a straight orange blossom!), rose water (less powdery rose but more on the wet rose), tonka bean, and soft lactonics

Dislikes: Beeswax, breads, cloying gourmands, wet mosses, mushroom, most cannabises, peach, heavy on the citrus, and butter

For reference, some of my favorite indies include:

Sorce:

A Party or Something

In Dreams and Fairy Tales (Vanilla & Pistachio)

Beyond the Veil

Kuumba Made:

Amber & Myrrh

Amber & Sandalwood

Arabian Rose

Alkemia:

Silken Tent

Trick or Treat

Arabesque

Other niche and popular perfumes I like are: Glossier You, Liis Celestial Object, Indult Tihota, Nonfiction The Beige, One Day Jasmine Tea, and Lush Karma.

New Release Bpal Dragoncon 2026!!

(copied from bpal!)

In addition to being available at our booth at Dragon Con, the Chromatic Dragons and The Peach Pit will also be featured in our online shop from Friday, September 4th through Monday, September 7th. That way everyone can participate in the fun!

++ CHROMATIC DRAGONS

Label design by Erick Turner

5ml perfume oils, $33 apiece:

FULVOUS DRAGON
Fulvous Dragons haunt sun-baked grasslands, haunted plains, and abandoned watchtowers where tawny grasses ripple like a lion’s mane in the heat of a distant wind. Lovely and secretive, they vanish so completely into the landscape that travelers often mistake them for late afternoon light. They are collectors of brass astrolabes, weathered horn, amber, dried seed pods, and honeycomb. Their tawny scales shimmer with warm hay, mimosa, toasted grains, acacia blossom, sun-cured tobacco leaf, golden musk, wild honey, russet amber, and cedar seasoned beneath an endless summer sky.

GINGERLINE DRAGON
Adventurous and restless, Gingerline Dragons rarely sit still for long, preferring to travel with merchant caravans, carnival performers, circuses, and pilgrims. Their hoards are stashed along trade routes and are stuffed with lacquered trinket boxes, jars of dried fruit, spice bundles tied with hemp twine, bundles of saffron silk, and amber beads gathered from distant ports. Their radiant scales exude dried apricots and peaches, ginger root, mandarin, clove bud, turmeric, cinnamon sticks, toasted vanilla, neroli, frankincense, and benzoin.

GOOSE TURD GREEN DRAGON
The least dignified name in draconic taxonomy belongs to one of its most accomplished ambush hunters. They vanish into marsh grasses, duck ponds, abandoned monastery gardens, and wetland reeds. They cultivate rare medicinal plants and collect willow whistles, abandoned waterfowl nests, and river stones. Contrary to their unfortunate name, they are fastidious creatures, endlessly grooming their matte moss-green scales that are scented with pale lichen, damp soil, fig sap, crushed fern, patchouli root, oakmoss, sweet tabac, and vetiver.

✤  INCARNADINE DRAGON
Incarnadine Dragons conceal the eggs of their young in forgotten battlefields, ruined abbeys, and memorial gardens where crimson petals bloom over the carved names of heroes and saints. They are solemn custodians of sacred places, especially those that have been bitterly sanctified with blood and sacrifice. They cherish broken swords, ceremonial weapons, tattered standards, wax seals, lost reliquaries, and faded heraldry. Their blood-red scales are suffused with pomegranate tears, damask rose, myrrh ash, dragon’s blood resin, clove bud, charred cedar, and garnet musk.

LUSTY GALLANT DRAGON
Lusty Gallant Dragons are notorious romantics, deeply theatrical, thrill-seeking troublemakers that can be found anywhere where mischief can be made. Their hoards overflow with theater tickets, love tokens, stolen ribbons, jeweled masks, and gambling implements, and their vivid scales perfume the air with rhubarb jam, tangerine, pink pepper, pink cherry, carnation, neroli, and cherry sugar.

MILK-AND-WATER DRAGON
Gentle and empathetic, Milk-And-Water Dragons are guardians of the home and hearth who cherish everyday ordinary miracles: clean sheets, warm blankets, comfortable silence, the scent of fresh bread and firewood, the first quiet hour of the morning. They collect antique creamware, fine linens, pearls, cashmere throw blankets, knitting needles, and thimbles, and their buttery translucent scales carry the scent of steamed milk, almond blossom, oatmeal, tea, and shortbread.

WENGE DRAGON
Ancient even among dragonkind, Wenge Dragons make their homes in the deepest parts of dense old-growth forests, where the multilayered canopy admits only the barest flickers of sunlight and the bark of trees both fallen and thriving are streaked with moss and shadows. They are archivists and chroniclers, strategists and philosophers, collectors of polished wooden instruments, chess pieces, iron keys, petrified wood, dried mushrooms, and jet beads. Their nearly-black scales smell of wood ash, cacao, smoked tabac, patchouli root, hemlock needles, and ancient bark.

4oz hair gloss, $37 apiece:

GRISARD DRAGON
Haunting abandoned quarries, bell towers, and ancient bridges, Grisard Dragons are aloof and introspective. They gather weathered gargoyles, sculptors’ tools, millstones, and rain-stained statuary, and they treasure the chisels of the master masons of the ages. Their ash-grey scales are scented with silver sage, white incense, limestone dust, white sandalwood, and ambergris accord.

EBURNEAN DRAGON
Creatures of winter dawns and silent snowfall, Eburnean Dragons inhabit the coldest of climes, nesting in snowbound peaks and marble cloisters streaked
with rime. Cognizant of the ravages of time, they collect fragile, fleeting treasures: delicate ice sculptures and tears frozen mid-fall. Their luminous scales shimmer with white iris, crystalline musk, chilled vanilla silk, white tea, heliotrope, tiare, and gardenia.

4oz atmosphere & linen spray, $34 apiece:

VINACEOUS DRAGON
Philosophical, hospitable, and loquacious, Vinaceous Dragons build their lairs beneath venerable vineyards and wine cellars. They gather oak casks, corkscrews, antique goblets, vine cuttings, and crystal decanters, and their wine-dark scales perfume the air with black grapes, damson, velvety benzoin, blackcurrant, sherry, black fig, dark chocolate, and black rose absolute.

Nail polishes, $19 apiece

✤ DRAGON'S SPLEEN
Magenta to green scaled duochrome with sparkling holo

✤ DRAGON'S HEMOGLOBIN
A translucent blood red jelly with black chrome micro flakes. Available in extremely limited quantities and is only being sold in-person at DragonCon.

✤ EBURNEAN DRAGON
Shimmering pale cool white champagne jelly.

✤ GINGERLINE DRAGON
Yellow toned orange shimmer jelly with a warm orange aurora & micro sparkles.

✤ GOOSE TURD GREEN DRAGON
Matte moss green.

✤ GRISARD DRAGON
Grey shimmer with silver micro sparkle jelly.

✤ MILK-AND-WATER DRAGON
Shimmering sky blue jelly.

✤ WENGE DRAGON
Deep shimmering brown with micro holo sparks.

++ THE PEACH PIT

5ml perfume oils, $33 apiece:

ALICE IN THE PEACH PIT
A curious little orchard tea party. Innocence with a strange little bite: peach tea, soft cream, sugar, and a scatter of bright florals.

DOC CONSTANTINE’S PHENOMENAL PEACH PANACEA
A peerless preparation of pulverized peach stone, precious peach extract, and potent botanical compounds guaranteed to restore the bloom to the cheek and the spring to the step! Fortified with cedar smoke, fir needle, chaparral, black amber, leather, and a mysterious quantity of Doc Constantine’s celebrated proprietary musk.  A miraculous peachy preparation for the restoration of vigor, vitality, and all manner of complaints!

[While Doc Constantine’s Phenomenal Peach Panacea has been prepared according to the highest standards of carny-cart apothecary excellence, it should be understood that this aromatic nostrum is intended for perfuming the person and delighting the senses only. It has not been proven to restore vigor, repair spirits, cure the vapors, strengthen the constitution, improve one’s prospects, or remedy any other physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, or romantic inconvenience. Any miraculous improvements in disposition, confidence, or peach-related afflictions are entirely coincidental.]

MOROCCAN POWDERED PEACH
The faded blush of dried peaches tucked into a spice chest: powdered peach folded through Morocco's warm musk, carnation, rose, red sandalwood, cassia, bergamot, and spices.

PEACH PIE SNAKE OIL
This serpent has abandoned the Tree of Knowledge for a more delicious temptation. A bubbling peach pie — golden crust lacquered with butter, ripe peaches engulfed brown sugar and spice — steeped with sugared Snake Oil: deep, rich earthy notes, vegetal musks, sugared vanilla bean, and dark spices.

VILLAIN IN THE PEACH ORCHARD
A beautiful fruit with a bitter heart: a lavender fougere with blackened peach, blackcurrant, clove, leather, and dark woods.

4oz hair gloss, $37 apiece:

COCONUT CREAM PEACH ICE CREAM
Creamy coconut, peach ice cream, and a swirl of vanilla sugar melting in summer’s heat.

PRALINES AND PEACH CREAM
Velvet peach cream with buttery pralines, toasted pecans, and a ribbon of caramelized sugar.

SUN-WARMED PEACH AND BRANDIED CHERRY
Golden peach, booze-soaked cherry, and the sensual perfume of an orchard heavy with fruit just before harvest.

SPARKLING GINGER PEACH
Juicy peach, candied ginger, and the fizz of a chilled summer cordial.

4oz atmosphere & linen spray, $34 apiece:

PEACH CHAI LATTE
Peach nectar stirred into creamy chai: black tea, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, and a swirl of steamed milk.

WHITE PEACH SALT WATER TAFFY
Pale peach spun into a seaside confectionery: salt water taffy, sugared peach, and a trace of sea salt.

4oz lotion, $37 apiece:

GEORGIA PEACH
A freshly picked Georgia peach: velvet skin, golden flesh, sticky nectar.

1oz beard oil, $33 apiece:

✤ GEORGIA PEACH
A freshly picked Georgia peach: velvet skin, golden flesh, sticky nectar.

Looking for Nui Cobalt Recommendations

I'm looking for a good cozy clothing inspired scent. Does anyone have reviews of the following?

Favorite Sweater 2026 - White oak and blonde teakwood, copal resin, crushed coriander, lamb's wool accord, a touch of creamy chai, and a spritz of green mandarin.

Favorite Scarf - Sunset amber, firewood embers, and the scent of warm banana bread clinging to cloud-soft cashmere.

Campfire Hoodie - Heavyweight cotton infused with body heat, toasted marshmallow, and woodsmoke.

Lab Partner - Unripe mandarin, chilly grey cashmere, green peppercorn, flushed skin, and toasted oats.

Canoodling in a Leaf Pile - Warm chai, vermilion musk, copal resin, the subtle hint of a campfire still clinging to soft sweaters tumbled among leaves of aspen and oak.

Thanks!

Area of Effect perfume sample reviews (Zelda themed!)

This is my first time ordering from AOE Perfumery. When I heard there were perfumes based on Zelda games, I got really excited since Zelda games are my favorite! I’m honestly still kind of new to perfumes and still figuring out what I like, but here are a list of my scent preferences:

I like: tea scents, jasmine, bergamot, fig, insence, orange blossom, neroli, subtle-sweet scents and unisex scents
I dislike: baby powder, cake, overly sweet syrupy scents, strong cologne/masculine scents, strong synthetic musky scents

I ordered Lon Lon Milk, Urbosa’s Fury, Twilight Princess, Silent Princess, and Zelda. I haven’t tested them on my skin yet, but these are just my first impressions from smelling the bottles.

Lon Lon Milk - marshmallow, cream, carnation, french vanilla, grass, nag champa

I ordered this one because I love the smell of Nag Champa incense and I’ve been looking for a perfume that smells like it. Unfortunately, this one did not meet my expectations. For some reason, it reminded me of the pink soap that’s in those soap dispensers in public restrooms. I’m not sure where I’m getting a soapy smell from, but I mostly smell soap and I don’t really smell the marshmallow, cream, vanilla, or nag champa.

Urbosa's Fury - every incense in my collection, dark amber, cardamom, alluring vanilla, chai spice, ginger

I definitely smell the insence in this one! This smells exactly like the inside of a metaphysical shop / crystal store. I like it!

Twilight Princess - violet, basil, warm vanilla, chai spices, caramel, brown sugar, teakwood

The notes on this one are pretty accurate. I thought it would smell sweeter due to the caramel and brown sugar, but it mostly smells herbal to me. It smells like an herbal tea bag with a violet next to it, so pretty accurate. I smell the woodiness of the teakwood too. I’m glad it’s not too sweet, since I’m not really a huge fan of gourmands, but this one almost leans a bit too herbal for me personally.

Silent Princess - lily, cedarwood, soft musk, lemongrass, vanilla lace, bergamot

This one is so accurate! It smells exactly like a wild lily blowing in the grass. I’m honestly not sure what a lily smells like off the top of my head, but it smells just like fresh flowers and grass. I really like this one!

Zelda - hylian accord (spiced apricot), tuberose, white chocolate, parchment accord, amyris, light musk

This one smells like sweet white flowers and a hint of something tart and candy-like (like a pixie stick candy, but not overly sweet). I smell the apricot too. I don’t really smell the white chocolate, but overall it smells sweet and bright. I really like this one too!

My favorites in order:

Silent Princess, Zelda, Urbosa’s Fury, Twilight Princess, Lon Lon Milk.

Such a fun concept! I’d definitely be curious to smell some of the other Zelda scents too :)

Perfume - Enquiry Looking for a fragrance that smells like The Lost Boys

Hi there. I’m kind of a perfume noob so pardon me if I’m terrible at describing this :’) I’m looking for a perfume or cologne that has the vibe of one of my favorite movies ever, The Lost Boys (1987). I have a few ideas for different scents that I’d love to wear. If any of these remind you of an existing perfume, please lmk!

Here are my ideas:

- The Santa Carla boardwalk: cotton candy/sugar, vanilla, caramel, popcorn, salty air, damp wood, bonfire smoke

- The bridge scene: fog/mist, damp soil, rusted metal, clove cigarettes, leather

- The vampires: clove cigarettes, incense, leather, bonfire or candle smoke, musk, blood (optional!)

These are just parts of the movie that stuck out to me/really evoked a certain scent. If you have any other ideas I would love to hear them!

Bath & Body - Enquiry Seeking sandalwood, vanilla, & coconut

I get sensory overwhelm & eczema easily, so I don’t usually use scented body products… but I decided to dip my toe in the waters because I like to smell good. Does anyone have recommendations for body products or perfume oils that are (1) not overpowering/sit closer to the skin, & (2) contain some combination of sandalwood, vanilla, &/or coconut? Would love to hear anyone’s recommendations, and I especially welcome feedback from other highly sensitive or neurodivergent folks who struggle with sensory overwhelm. Thank you! Y’all are always so kind & helpful. <3

Makeup - Enquiry Can you recommend a black lipstick or stain for someone who touches their face a lot?

I’m always touching my face. I figured out a makeup routine that works with that. But with black lipstick, I always have to be super aware of my hands, and even then, it smears and bleeds.

Whats a black lip product that sticks and stays? And is still jet black.

I don’t mind doing an exfoliating and moisturizing routine if it’s a dry formula. I just don’t want to absentmindedly play with my lip then end up looking insane.

I live in the USA.

Perfume - Enquiry Possets Permanent Blends Sample Order Input?

Hello! I am planning on ordering a sample pack of some of Posset's permanent blends and was hoping for some input on the scents I am considering-- both positive and negative! Also would appreciate to hear if any of these scents would be redundant to order since they all might be in the same general scent families. I am looking to get some warm scents to try out for Autumn: I am a big enjoyer of incenses, resins, spices, woods (esp. sandalwood), tobacco, smoke, patchouli, and vanilla. Feel free to suggest any permanent scents from them I haven't listed as well!

Howl: Black, red and amber musks wrestle furiously with sandalwood and opium tar resin. There is nothing light or gentle about this scent. A burning incense backs it up, black patchouli stands in the forefront. Dark, musky, resinous.

Angelic Host (6th) - Dominions: Tremendously and effortlessly commanding, this is a fragrance totally made out of resins. Amber and labdenum, a small crumb of frankincense and two more ambers. Captivating, seductive, insinuating and fabulous.

Angelic Host (9th) - Seraphim: Five vanillas (most of them fat and buttery vanillas cut with lean and sharp vanillas) and are blended with six different ambers which give the hypnotic part to the whole. (Is this one gourmand? How does it compare with Dominions?)

Beatrice: Skin musk, 2 white musks, "Crystalline" musk, and grey musk. (I've seen conflicting reviews; some say slightly floral, slightly fruity, or even cupcakey.)

Capezzoli di Venere: Start with a perfectly roasted chestnut for a smooth and proper base for the softer things to come. Around that wrap ganache made of buttercream and gardenia kissed mocha which will melt your heart as it expires from love in your mouth. Enrobe with bitter dark chocolate. Die from love. (How does the chocolate note read? Chocolate notes tend to go powdery/Tootsie Roll on me :( )

Chocolate Incense: Sandalwood, amber, and frankincense bring out the smokey tease in chocolate which you probably had no idea was there. (Same question as above)

The Field of Reeds: Sweet sandalwood and two ambers, a touch of wood for reeds, and a kiss of golden musk, black pepper married with a drop of labdanum and this conjures the eternal happy golden light in which the elect must have bathed every day. (I'm very curious about this one!!!)

The Gingerbread Whorehouse: Very foody, very sweet, very sexy. This is European Gingerbread given an American Cajun jolt with the spices: ginger, black pepper (!), clove, cinnamon, coriander, and a kiss of pink pepper.

Mrs. Rabbit's Carrot Cake: The most moist and vanilla drenched melting cake shot through with sugar encrusted rum kissed currents and golden raisins (which crunch in your mouth) and crowned with the richest butter filled sour cream and ricotta frosting and trimmed with tiny spun sugar carrots, and grass.

Lady and a Baby Unicorn: A wonderful combination. Using the right type and right amount and right dilution, vetiver (that sultry, earthy, wild, and dominant part) becomes positively docile, sweet, and innocent...almost fruity in the presence of three vanillas (dry, fat, and sweet). It's like the renewal of its virginity. (I love vetiver!! How does it read here?)

Lovechild-Sweetbaby: Vanilla concentrated with lavender and amber. (How much longevity does the lavender have in this blend?)

Ponder: We used a Mexican vanilla without a woody edge which is very smooth and almost spice laden. We also added a perfect Bulgarian lavender which is full of coumarin, and a hint of saffron (which will make you smile for its stone like edge which somehow makes things sweeter), a very very light rasp of lemon and voila! (Same question as above LOL)

Bar Sinister: Green Bourbon vanilla extract, sweetbriar, a powerful green musk, a very highly refined leather, a background of labdanum, and a high and intoxicating silk accord. (What's the leather like?)

Any and all input is greatly appreciated, thank you!

It just wasn’t met to be…

Post image

I’m SO sad, guys. What with the mix-up/delay in receiving it and now this, it seems the universe just doesn’t want me to smell like Sugar Haze. I lost a decent amount but there’s still a good 2/3 or so left. Should I buy another 30 ml to pour it into?? I’m a little worried about any glass having gotten into the bottle, though. I’m really like the bottle so I’ll be bummed to put into a different one, but at least it won’t be a total loss? What do you guys think? Could any glass in it like, hurt me when spraying from a new bottle(I apologize if this is a dumb question).
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Seeking Similar to Hare Witch Shoppe's Jackalope

Post image
11 Upvotes

I bought Jackalope 2 years ago probably, and the shop has since been inactive. I check every couple months to see if they're back up so I can reorder, but I really miss the fragrance. It was very orange and vanilla forward, but the sandalwood made it feel like a grown up, heady orange Creamsicle. Is there anything you would recommend in place, since I can't get the original?

Bath & Body - Enquiry On the hunt for a scented body butter!

Happy Monday! I’ve been on the hunt for a new scented body butter. I’m looking for a thickkkk body butter. I really like the texture of the SDJ butters but everything I’m seeing now is whipped!

Preferably looking for scents that are good for layering (simple vanilla/marshmallow, musks, woods, etc) but I am open to other options :)

I’ve been doing research and was seeing a lot about CocoaPink Shower Butters, they sound perfect…but have they been discontinued? 🥹

P.s. has anyone tried the JerrBear body glaze on TikTok?

Thank youuu <3

Perfume - Purchased First Alkemia order arrived!!

Post image
96 Upvotes

Just received my first order of Alkemia samples! (Actually, my first order of anything samples - I am new to perfumes but I’ve loved interesting smells all my life and I can’t believe it took this long to realize interesting smells could also follow me around on my skin!) I ordered samples of A Time of Monsters, Honored Ghosts, Midnight Poppy, Sigil, Souls of Poets Dead and Gone, and Ýdalir, and also received Book of Night and Trick or Treat as freebies. The freebie scents were not ones I was initially considering but I’m very excited because the notes do read as things I would be interested in! It absolutely feels as though they selected the freebies to suit the rest of my order which would be so sweet of them…

I was very impressed with how quickly these got to me - their turnaround time was stated as 7-10 days but I placed the order last Tuesday and they’re already here! The freebies came in their own little pouch and unfortunately did not fit into the lovely envelope the others were enclosed in, so I hunted around for something to keep them together and found the little bag pictured :)

The note enclosed said to let them rest for up to 48 hours but I am so impatient and could not resist and opened up Book of Night for a quick sniff and a light dab on my wrists. I got the chai notes very strongly on first application, and it’s dried down to a really interesting incense smell with hints of something earthier and… lye soap?? maybe?? As mentioned I am new to perfumes and definitely can’t pick out all the notes there! So excited to try all of these for real in a few days!!

Perfume - Enquiry Seeking Birch & Besom Reviews

Hello! I recently blind bought a rollerball of Birch and Besom's In the Styx and really love it. I also really love the packaging and the fact that it's fairly affordable (10ml for $22, and they’re having a 10% off sale right now that lowers it to $20)

I usually don't like super sweet scents, prefer androgynous vibes, and like ash, smoke, blackcurrant, sandalwood, cedar, soft leather, dark teas, tobacco, old/worn in cashmere, pomegranate, clove, and blueberry as some of my favorite notes.

I'd like to explore more of their scents when I have a chance; does anyone have favorite recommendations for Birch and Besom? Or if anyone's tried the scents below, can you share your thoughts?

Thank you in advance!

Discussion Happies scent memories/associations?

This is a selfish post because I'm extremely depressed and seeking anything good in the world.

What perfume (or note) has a happy memory association with you?

For me, BPAL's The Rose (The promise of a rose: red rose petals, fresh sap, and the sharp green scent of stem and leaf) always brightens my mood. It was the first indie I fell in love with, and brings me back to memories of walking through rose gardens with my loved ones.

Discussion Nocturne Alchemy Opinions/Recs

I'm thinking about trying Nocturne Alchemy and was wondering if there are any common themes in terms of why people DON'T like them. I'm asking because I've been exploring several indie perfume oils and I'm noticing a trend in terms of what is not working for me. For example, Alkemia has smelled soapy, Nui Cobalt and Hex like candles or artificial. I'm not having the same candle or soap issue with BPAL or Poesie. Have people experienced any soap/candle/artificial scent issues with Nocturne Alchemy?

I was also looking at the Nocturne Alchemy samples available through Ajevie and the notes look overwhelming. Any feedback on the following resurgence scents, which if I'm understanding correctly are from last year? I couldn't find much in terms of reviews.

  • Bastet’s Ice Cream Candy Corn 25

  • Blue Violet Vanilla 07

  • Chat Noir

  • Cotton Candy Salted Caramel Pumpkin & Fig Vanilla Musk

  • Vanilla Horchata

  • Candied Kitty Cat Candy

  • La Momie
