I want file a suit to have Senator Grassley to take a simple cognitive test. He is 96. He, at his current age only ,represents 6.5 million is the population over 85.

My job required me to take a cognitive test at 68. Why is he exempt?

Also does he understand what is going on around him?

One thing Republicans and Democrats have in common, constantly bashing those on the left. What an inspiring campaign /s. When will Democrats learn? People stay home because they beleive both parties don't represent them, and with ads/posts like this i see why. Hopefully he pivots, but I doubt it.

So us democrats and independents who want a senator that is not going to collaborate with the fascists or not want a republican lite who should we vote for? How many times is the party establishment going to play this same playbook? Hopefully he pivots otherwise it will end in defeat, even in winning with a message like this it feels like we still lose. So disappointing.

The biggest healthcare fraud is Republicans cutting Medicaid and then calling the cuts “fraud prevention.”

Iowa’s test scores are down. Cancer rates are among the nation’s worst. Job numbers are terrible. Rivers are polluted with nitrates. But sure, Zach, keep lecturing Iowans about fraud. This is what you get with Republican leadership.

And that bootlicker at the end really helped prove the point about Iowa’s declining education.

Like I get the idea for the ones that are against her, but the narrative of collectively holding her accountable but for the ones that are for her, how does it serve for goals to have her phone be ringing off the handle possibly interfering coordinating certain events or other things that will help her secure more support

Trump’s 278,000 claim is a national story, but Iowa appears in the underlying system through two separate channels.

Iowa transferred its statewide voter file to DOJ. Separately, DIAL has used SAVE for thousands of professional-licensing checks.

What the public record still does not show is whether Iowa’s voter file was sent onward to DHS, entered SAVE, or produced any voter matches.

I reviewed the White House’s 58 released documents and reconstructed the 278,000 claim from two different searches. The Iowa-specific audit trail remains missing.

Seems pretty straight forward.

Tonight’s Big Deadline (For Real, Though)
If you want to know what it’s like to be a “bluer” district Democrat in a competitive state, Saturday showed the juggle that I’ve been trying to manage. I woke up bright and early to drive to Ankeny to march in the Ankeny SummerFest for two seats that we’re hoping to flip for my friends Molly Buck and Heather Matson along with Heather’s old seat that we’re trying to hold for Amy Tagliareni. After a few hours with the family (and a shower), it was family time here in my home district to take in an incredible Beaverdale Bluegrass Festival and visit with so many of you.

While I wish that parades and community events were all that it required to restore some commonsense at our statehouse, the reality is that it takes a lot of campaign resources as well. As I’m sure you’ve heard from another dozen emails today, there’s a major fundraising deadline tonight for all of the candidates across Iowa. When I’m asking for your donation, I want you to know why this is different.

Over the last 18 months, I've been doing in-person recruitment for candidates across Iowa nearly full time. I emphasize "in-person" because, as you know, quality candidates can only be identified in the flesh - not over a call or Zoom or just at the recommendation of local activists.

As of today, we've got 89 House candidates and the expectation for all of them is that they personally knock 10,000 doors of infrequent Democratic voters, Independents, and even centrist Republicans. Many of them are thousands of doors into that goal and telling me that they're seeing rumblings of a huge, blue wave this fall. In a huge boost, the New York Times even highlighted a few of our candidates this morning.
Bolstering all of this, of course, is an incredibly favorable climate for Democrats in Iowa. We have an exceptionally strong statewide ticket, one of the most important Senate races in the country, and candidates who will flip at least two (I'd actually bet three) Congressional seats - just like we did in 2018.  Those races are having huge down-ballot impacts. With competitive primaries for both parties last month, I was heartened to see Democratic candidates earn more votes than Republicans in 12 of these currently red statehouse districts.
