apprentice booming out?

so i could have an opportunity to go work at the new TSMC plant in phoenix but im an apprentice from texas. i know technically we’re not supposed to boom out as apprentices but what if i just don’t say anything? if i could get kicked out for it then i wont consider it at all but realistically whats the worst that could happen to me?

your hall has to reach out to whatever hall you wanna work under so they will contact your hall anyways. I was always told that its harder as an apprentice to boom out but not impossible, you just have to have the work experience and a good amount of worked hours.

dont go trying to hide shit cause it will never work in your favour

I boomed out as an apprentice plenty. You don't have to hide it, just talk to your coordinator. They'll have to send out a travel letter and your pay sheet.

Do NOT try to sneak out. That could piss off some people that might you your life much harder than it has to be.

Just call your apprenticeship coordinator and talk to them. You’ll have to talk to the local 75 AC as well but talk you your local first.

Every local is different. talk to your coordinator and that would be your best answer. I’ve worked with plenty of apprentices that have boomed out so you’re likely be alright if you and the coordinator work something out.
