Got this new Grand Cherokee from Carvana and was surprised they had new vehicles. The local dealer didn’t have what I wanted and was specifically looking for my first Hybrid and something big enough and they always piss me off and seem sleazy. Surprised Caravana took my 2015 ram at way over 200k miles on it 😂So far this ride is pretty awesome! Still have the 24 Trailhawk too.

I just touched 38,000 miles and three years with my Jeep Grand cherokee, No issues so far thank god except the inscreen multimedia entertainment disconnecting as usual, will have the option of financing or turning it in soon to the dealer and not having to deal with it? dont know what to do?

Ive always loved xj jeeps and comanches and was pleasantly surprised to see this one on my facebook marketplace fyp. It looks pretty solid, just the typical michigan rust but some things worry me. First is the mileage, 276,000 to be exact. A lot can go wrong in that time but ive heard the praise of these platforms going well beyond that. Secondly, the owner states that sometimes it “stumbles before taking off” which also raises concerns. Lastly the price, he wants 4,400 for it (although not firm). Im pretty mechanically inclined and would not shy away from fixing its issues and all but i wanna hear from other jeep owners, would this be a good beater with a heater or should i steer clear? Im going to look at it in a day so if it is good, what are some things i should check for?

It looks like I'm going to have to sell my baby. This is a "97" 6 cylinder , 5 speed manual transmission. With 130k miles on it. I'm the second owner and several years ago it was in an accident. Completely restored by embry riddle university four wheel drive club. It has always been an Arizona jeep. Always garaged.

Helloooo!! I have a 2011 jeep wrangler sport. Everytime I turn the A/C on this light and the traction light turns on and makes my car shake, has anyone had this problem before???

I recently installed the Quadratec Hydro 7.0 Shocks on my 2016 75th JKU and was a bit confused when I received them. I knew I had to install the bushings in the shocks, no problem there, but these were the first shocks I ever got that weren't strapped into a compressed state. I wrote Quadratec about this and canned answer back was that the straps were normal and should be removed during install. I noticed today that the instructions PDF on the website for the bushing pressings you can see the shock is zipped strapped, however instructions don't cover actual install so no mentioning of straps.

I went ahead and installed them, for the most part had to pull on the shock to extend slightly to align to get bolt through. Everything seemed okay the first few weeks when I was driving around and that they were better than the previous shocks I had on. However, recently there are a few road patches that I drive over on commute that feel pretty rough. It's like sometimes they work as they should, other times feel shot. Very odd.

Anyone else familiar with these and have any thoughts?

I got a 2013 jeep wrangler unlimited sport and its keeps overheating while idle or driving and then cools down then heats up again it stays around the 3/4 mark for temperature then passes it especially when I take normal streets and have to brake alot but on the highways it cools down faster. I changed basically everything already thermostat tubes radiator even the radiator cap burped it. Check engine light on for misfire on cylinder 1 any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Recently I was gifted a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6L v6 with around 215k kms. But in order to pass safety, it needed a little work in the front end due to deferred maintenance as it was planned to be traded in by family but I took it on instead.

The front CV shafts needed to be replaced but as I was working on a tight timeline, I went with NAPA as they could get decent quality shafts with a decently quick turnaround time. Both shafts and seals were replaced.

I’ve now had the Jeep for about 2 weeks and it’s been driving smoothly but I did notice the input side of the shaft (or the side with the differential) has a bit of play, almost as though the shaft isn’t properly seated inside the differential. However the cup at the end of the shaft marries up with the seal decently well with no obvious gaps. It also occasionally weeps from time to time, but not enough to leave a spot on my driveway.

Unfortunately I tossed the original Mopar shafts as the threads on the hub side were absolutely toast, I used my Milwaukee high torque to remove the bolt and I couldn’t get the bolt to thread back on without cross threading.

This Jeep has a two speed transfer case, and low range appears to work with no issues. Just wondering if it’s possible to solve this play issue before winter cause I don’t want salty slush making its way inside the differential; hopefully without spending more money.

First time jeep owner, just purchased this used 2013 with 126,000 miles for 7 grand one owner who took very good care of it. Just recently had all fluids changed and a new radiator. My only concern is it’s a little shaky when you hit a bump on the highway. Not sure if thats a suspension thing or me having to get use to a higher vehicle. Wish me luck

I would humbly ask that if you are getting good gas mileage, would you please do a video of the Settings/Hybrid screen and watch for disengagement and re-engagement of the rear wheels. Also, please report the MPG you are getting.

Please don't respond with "it's the summer heat", or "stop driving with a lead foot". I have done all the testing with almost all the scenarios people have been insulting me with, and it never exceeds 32 mpg; normal is around 30mpg.

I am very disappointed with this car and the dealer's lack of care.

Well, my 2-week-old Jeep goes into the shop on Wed for supposedly "Advanced Diagnostics".

My issue is low gas mileage (30MPG), and it is locked in All Wheel Drive.

I sent them all the screenshots from people on this forum showing that the cars getting around 40 MPG, defaults to Front Wheel Drive mode, unless it is switched into Snow or Sand/mud.

They have a rental/loaner for me. I am going to advise, "Don't call me unless it's fixed."

You need to show this to your management. Jeep themselves are in this group. But they are silent about this. So now that you guys know this is an issue, you are complicit in this issue. And selling the car in the video you sent me, you are selling a car that is defective.

And what people didn't know until I posted it: (People are pissed that they are throwing away money because of this defect they didn't know about).

I’m really interested in buying a Jeep grand Cherokee the Laredo model between the years of 2015 and 2020. I want to know what are the particular issues I may run into and what I should look out for when I’m doing inspections before I make this purchase because I’ve made some bad purchases on cars. I intend to pay cash under $9000.

My new to me finally have a jeep

I have a jeep (160k miles)in our shop that was brought in for overheating issues.

Found the radiator was leaking. Replaced and the engine temp is still going all over the place from 217 to 240.

Ended up replacing the engine temp sensor, water pump and a new thermostat 2xs one was even OEM(previously replaced last year). Still same issue and we made sure we got rid of all the air in the system.

Also verified no visible leak under the oil filter housing. Before close today we took out the thermostat and the temp was the most consistent at 220. We also checked there were no hydro carbons in the cooling system and there were none.

My tech and I are both at a standstill as to what the issue is.

I need some help

Finally got my 4xe back yesterday after a month at the dealership for the HV battery. Best feeling ever. Honestly felt like buying it all over again. The smell, the steering, the ergonomics — after a month of random rentals, everything just feels right ✔️

We’ve all made at least one questionable decision when it comes to Jeep/other vehicles.

Maybe you:

• Bought a car you knew you shouldn’t have
• Ignored a noise for way too long
• Attempted a “simple” DIY repair that definitely wasn’t simple
• Sold a vehicle you wish you still had
• Bought a modification you immediately regretted
• Put off maintenance and paid for it later
• Trusted the wrong mechanic
• Bought something without getting it inspected first

And how much did it cost you?

Ive seen them for other models but was hoping someone might know where to get one for JLs my searches have been unfruitful
