My newest diorama that I built. Inspired by the club scene in JW.... I scratch built this using xps foam. The candle holders were designed, printed and painted. The candles I made from real wax and then added programmable LEDs to give us the proper effect. Then the most challenging part was getting the red circle LED sign to hover infront of the wall. Brought everything together with beautiful blue LED accent lights. The figure is HT John Wick Artisan Edition.

I've always felt a bit disconnected from the hype around John Wick. Watching the movies, it often feels less like watching a lethal master at work and more like watching a guy just barely survive a series of brutal beatdowns—getting ragdolled and tossed through glass until he somehow wins out of sheer stubbornness.

I guess that while the stunt team actually designs John's moves around hyper-efficient tactical choices like BJJ and judo, the actual direction and cinematography completely bury that brilliance. The wide, chaotic framing captures the grit and exhaustion, but it fails to show the clean cause-and-effect of why he's winning.

Compared to the dominance of Neo in The Matrix, where the camera celebrates the mc's mastery, John Wick leaves you squinting to figure out if he's actually skilled or just protected by plot armor. I don't mind him getting beaten up or looking like a mess—I just want the movie to actually show me the ruthless efficiency that earns him the victory instead of making it look like a lucky accident.

The death of John Wick's wife made the role very personal for Keanu Reeves. His girlfriend, Jennifer Syme, died in a car accident in 2001. Syme gave birth to their child in 1999, but the child was stillborn. Syme's car accident was claimed to be a result of heavy prescription medication for depression, and reports claim she died instantly. Supposedly, Reeves used that as an emotional influence for the role of John Wick.

I think every other part of the series was necessary deaths or people who had it coming. I think this guy would have just given his car back if John asked, but John was already slaughtering his guards before he even called.

Honorable mention would be Killa Harkan from chapter 4.

I really feel like Caine is probably the only one equal to John and might actually be slightly better, even though he is blind. But let's be real. Caine would give Dare Devil a challenge. What yall think?
