Dude, if you’re complaining about how the D-rex resembles barely to a dinosaur, you’ll get a heart attack when you realize Jurassic Park (yes, PARK, NOT WORLD), had an already unhinged mind when creating and designing hybrids.

Recently went to the Jurassic World Experience in Bangkok Thailand. Highly recommend it if you're out there! It's a little bit difficult to find, but the actual experience itself is brilliant with the staff/ actors doing a great job of making you feel like you are there.

Just rewatching The Lost World, and i completely forgot he said this. After being on opposing
"teams" and having diametrically opposing views he still has the common courtesy and forethought to say this after a disappearance of someone. In my opinion that makes him a pretty solid guy. I’ve never noticed him saying this, when I saw this as a kid I always assumed he was like Clayton from Tarzan, now I see him in an all new light, am I the only one who missed it?

The animal in the first photo is an adult cassowary, a bird with a head crest very similar to that of a Dilophosaurus (except it has one rather than two). On the second photo is a juvenile cassowary. I wasn't able to see exactly how old it it, but from the feathers, wattles and face colouring, we can assume it's close to adulthood.

Notice something? The head crest is tiny compared to that of an adult. And this is something we see consistently across the animal kingdom: Adornments, especially bony, pointy ones, don't reach full size until the animal is fully grown. It's true for the horns of a Jackson's Chameleon and the tusks of an elephant.

The Dilophosaurs in all the movies have massive headcrests. This alone makes it extremely likely that they were meant to be adults.

"I thought you were one of your big brothers" isn't meant literally, it means "I thought you were one of the bigger species". (Besides, if he meant it literally, shouldn't Nedry have said sisters?)

I got a question for you all are the Jurassic World movies really that bad? I grew up watching the original Jurassic Park as a kid and I also like The Lost World and even Jurassic Park III when I was younger. The first Jurassic World movie was an event for me and I really loved it. Then Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom came out and I admittedly liked it but people tore it apart like how "Highlander II: The Quickening" is to "Highlander" and I was someone really looking forward to Jurassic World Dominion and I came out did liking it despite the dinosaurs pushed to the side with giant insects and Jurassic World Rebirth was a mixed bag for me.

So this begs the question are the Jurassic World movies rally that bad? Let me know down below.

That's actually... A bit spooky, like it was some sort of messed up sign... I waited a bit for more flying but, nothing. It hasn't moved in actual days. Just silently staying put. And I'm not that invested in such things

I wish we could get maybe a series or another movie based on the book. I absolutely live the movie adaptations of JP and TLW, but it would be amazing to see the novelisation version as well. I liked the dynamic with the rexes and the raptors were so much more terrifying! There's just so much more in the books that would be incredible to see on the screen. Also the extra characters would be interesting too seeing the individually instead of combining them and leaving out traits.

I picked up this poster for my son's room at the weekend (from Forbidden Planet so it's not a bootleg one).

I've noticed there are a bunch of spelling errors at the character list at the bottom- John Hammon, Grandchilds, and Mr ADN.

My son is 2 so he won't notice for a while, thankfully he just likes the picture, but it's annoying the hell out of me. I don't know if they've done an AI thing or it's just sloppy.

It's hard to tell from the photos, but the text and Deutsche Grammophon logo on the front cover are metallic gold and a different, shinier texture. A lovely touch.

I got the idea when I purchased the Lego tyrannosaurs Rex skull. I had it displayed as it’s supposed to be for a while, but it felt like something was missing, so then I decided to make a terrarium. Then I realized I had an extra terrarium, and now we are here. My two favorite pieces of decor in my whole apartment!😊

After getting eaten by velociraptor, Harvey moved to Los Angeles and opened up a book shop called “mystery pier books.” If you’re ever in the in the West Hollywood (and can afford it), make sure to visit mystery pier books that sells exclusively first editions. It’s nice little shop that Harvey and his son, Louis runs.

My wife surprised me this morning with some awesome film cuts from Jurassic Park, they’re in plastic cases with Universal and Amblin Stamps on them. Online I can only find one eBay listing for them with the same stamps.

She refuses to tell me where she got them but has assured me that she can’t get any more 🥲.

One of the coolest surprises I’ve ever got , does anyone know if these are real?

That quote summarizes the feeling most of us had when seeing the first film back in the 90’s… can’t share that feeling, saw JP when the 20th anniversary back on cinemas… anyway, the only reason I decided to make this post wasn’t because of something specific. It’s more of how, even when the franchise feels with no route found, it can still feel wonderfully beautiful and unique.

Before Jurassic Park, I saw Ice Age 3, which was basically the route that led to love dinosaurs, JP were the doors to that magical world where dinosaurs came back to life. I was a young kid back then, of course I’d only play the parts where the dinosaurs were on screen, but as time passed, I started valuing the rest of it, the story that wasn’t just dinosaurs coming back to life but how greed and power can make things get out of control.

I wanted to make this post not to get on debate of which movie is better, which was better written, which had the best story, best characters or best dinosaurs. No. I made this because I wanted everyone who read this to share their experiences of how it was your first interaction with this magnificent franchise of cloned dinosaurs… hell, even if the movies say otherwise, dinosaurs will never not be the most coolest thing ever seen.

Wanted to tell the story of how I started to like each new entry of the franchise but… damn, that’d require like a bunch of posts I don’t want you to lose time reading on it… but sharing your thoughts, opinions and experiences you had with the franchise.

I scanned this out of the Japanese "Super Complete Collection" book. This is the map that appears in the Fleetwood trailers, making it the most accurate, high definition image of an on screen map of the Muertes Archipelago currently available. You can see everything, right down to the rivers! This is an absolute game changer in the mapping of the Five Deaths.

Fun fact: this map was collaged together from Defense Mapping Agency Aerospace Center (DMAAC) maps of New Zealand. You can see Fiordland, South Island was included in a significant part of northern Isla Sorna.

I saw this parked at my local library and had to get a pic of it, especially when I saw that there was a life-size raptor in the trailer. Whoever owns this clearly is quite a fan of the franchise. I don’t know if this was for some kind of event, but I think it’s cool nonetheless.

I know they're "not dinosaurs" (or, more clearly, aren't non-avian dinosaurs), but Mattel has previously done non-dinos like the inostrancevia (which, to its credit, is a really cool toy). Terror Birds are still ancient, still scary, still big, and definitely dino-related. I'd like to have just one in the line.
