Got the bike . The suspension feels stiff while riding alone while going over small bumpy roads . But with a heavy pillion it feels smoother . Am i the only one feeling like this and is it possible to make adjustments to the suspension to make it more softer .

Bought a 390 Duke 350 from Khivraj Elixir Rajajinagar last week on an HDFC loan. Haven't taken delivery yet. Sat down and matched every number on the paperwork and found stuff worth warning others about.

Down payment ₹45,000. HDFC disbursed ₹3,36,227 to them. So they got ₹3,81,227.

Their own two tax invoices add up to ₹3,71,088. Bike ex-showroom ₹2,83,938 plus RTO/insurance/services ₹87,159. That's ₹10,139 they collected above what they invoiced. No receipt for it, no line item, no explanation.

Sent the manager a handwritten reconciliation on WhatsApp yesterday. No reply. Called him directly, no reply. Called the sales guy, he said "manager already left, come tomorrow." Same story today. They're stalling.

Also found a second issue. Their invoice has "Insurance B2B ₹15,283", actual National Insurance policy is only ₹10,362. The gap is a Way Assist RSA subscription (₹4,976) bundled inside the insurance line. RSA was mentioned to me so that's fine, but here's the thing, the same invoice ALSO has a separate "Road Side Assistance ₹1,750" as its own line item. So RSA is billed twice on one bike. Nobody has explained this yet.

One more thing worth flagging: the National Insurance policy has [tp@wayassisttechnologies.com](mailto:tp@wayassisttechnologies.com) as my registered email instead of mine. So any renewal notices from the insurer next year go to a third party, not me. Classic setup for jacking up renewal quotes when the actual policy expires.

Going in tomorrow. Not accepting delivery until the ₹10k is refunded in writing and the double RSA is explained. Sales guy said they'll only start RTO registration after some "bank person" explains the breakup to me tomorrow, which is nonsense the bank's job ended when they disbursed. This is between me and the dealer.

Not naming individuals because this feels systemic, not one guy. But heads up if you're buying from this showroom. Do the math yourself:

  • Add your down payment + whatever HDFC/Bajaj Finance/whoever disbursed
  • That total should exactly match the sum of all dealer tax invoices (bike invoice + services invoice)
  • Insist on seeing every certificate for anything on the "insurance/RSA/warranty" lines — check the actual amounts printed on those documents
  • Check whose email is on your insurance policy. It should be yours

If it's off by four digits, don't take delivery until they explain.

Will update once tomorrow's meeting happens.
used AI as its a lengthy matter
EDIT: Correction: someone rightly pointed out the wrong email doesn't force higher renewal quotes — you can always shop around. It just means the dealer gets first pitch and I might miss the renewal notice. Still improper, still worth fixing, but not the price-fixing scheme I made it out to be

I FINALLY GOT MY KTM ADV 390!!! I AM SO HAPPY AND ITS MY BIRTHDAY TOO

As expected she rides amazing, it's so fun to ride but I've noticed a few things.

Obviously the seat is stiff and hard, not comfortable at all. I am planning to change it into a ktm touring seat or custom after the first service. Still not sure.

Second thing i noticed is the heat from the engine, I can feel a considerable amount of heat on my leg. Is this normal? (Note that I just took the delivery and it's quite hot outside)

The quick shifter and the cruise control is amazing. The quick shifter is very smooth and while on cruise control the bike IS SO STABLE. ITS FASCINATING.

The vibrations are not bad at all, i expected the vibrations to be very noticeable but surprisingly it's not that bad. I am very satisfied.
