I fear i left Kayn mains and went on a dark journey through mid lane, and while it was enjoyable, the champs just dont feel the same as Kayn does.
And so I return, as Karasmai predicted I would, few things about the champ just frustrated me, so I need advice on thins while I slowly return

I struggle keeping high cs on red kayn, and thus often lose my lead and all tempo I may have had built up if a gank fails, blue just clears so fast and is able to gank seemingly seconds later

Wukong, Graves, post 6 Shyvana, and Yi are some of my worst matchups, I'm in gold 3 currently so Yi is my perma ban, graves and wukong arent picked enough down here for me to consider banning yet, but if any advice on said matchups could be provided, I would greatly appreciate it

Lethality red? Bruiser red? Bruiser blue? Lethality blue? I often feel stuck knowing what to build or what form to take, and thus burn a lot of time thinking in fountain, looking through items because the enemy team has 3 super squishies, but a very fed top id have to sustain against, and a jungler that completely counters blue kayn, and sometimes the ladder, maybe 3 tanky people, but a very fed adc and squishy jungler

It took nearly 500 games (I’m a no life BUT to be fair, I don’t really play any other video games) and tons of lurking in here to find new buildpaths and runes. In prior seasons I was always too nervous to try any builds that were less popular, but I’ve been having fun with new runes and itemizations!! I really like Kayn this season, fleet voltaic is the most fun I’ve had with him since goredrinker 🪦 I even ran ignite over flash for a period of time and had tons of fun with it, though I still think abt goredrinker daily ☹️

Opinion on champ: FUNNN I like going across the map with E and red kayn feels like I can just 1v5 good carry champ and really easy unless ur blue going against tanks.

I really loved to play red kayn, especially when goredrinker was still in game, but now playing him feels like shit. His healing is good, but he feels to slow to play, obviously he should be slower than blue kayn, but not as horrible as it is now.

Building bruiser on him feels even worse, as the damage is often times lacking to get your target killed when using everything you have. Only solution I found is getting fed early to make up the damage with raw stats, but you shouldn't rely on a champ to be fed inorder to be useful.

Against squishy ranged champs kayn feels to slow and requires the other player to make a mistake to even reach them. Against other bruiser you just lose due to lack of damage/healing, like you can't fight a zaahen, aatrox, jax or darius without losing

Also I think the ult is often times not as useful on red kayn as it is on blue kayn. Ulting on red kayn feels more like a red emergency button. Fighting as a bruiser requires you to either get close or use cc to get close, but using W to then ult on a target inorder to get close to it feels like so much value lost, because with the right build you heal 60% just with one ult. Using it to get close feels like a waste. Also waiting in the ult has a purpose on blue kayn as you often times lack ability haste on him and you also get pressure because you're likely to kill your target on blue kayn if you get with all of your abilities out. But on red kayn you often times lack the damage to be a threat if youre not fed and end up being cc'ed(or dead) after using all of your abilities and not killing your target.

The only saving grace is deaths dance which increases your sustain by alot and allows for longer fights.

But often times you dont get deaths dance until your 3rd or 4th item, because you will probably build eclipse into black cleaver because why else would you go red kayn if not into a very tanky/bruiser heavy team. And until you have deaths dance game is often nearing towards end.

My solution would be to give red kayn a different ult from blue kayn, something like zaahens ults, which allows for longer fights, because the untargetability of kayns ult also comes with you not able to attack the opponent which is useless on a bruiser, because you want outheal and outdamage the opponent. The opponent on the other hand can still provide value during it by attacking your backline, giving themselves a shield to mitigate the damage or heal up with abilities and lifesteal on nearby enemies.

Finally reached Master after so many seasons playing almost only Kayn (if he is banned or picked I play something else lol).

Fleet + Voltaic is goated combo everyone who is struggling should try it.

For red Kayn I pretty much always go Voltaic > Black Cleaver > Death's Dance. But after that point I completely don't know what items to buy. I understand it really becomes situational after but I feel like there are so many good options out there.

Steraks and Maw both give a shield but if I needed MR that game I feel like I would've just taken Mercs. And then last item I truly have no idea. Shojin? Endless Hunger?

What do you build after the core 3?

Was on Karasmais stream a couple of days ago and Dantes calm told Karasmai to run the item as he claims it is extremely broken. Has anyone tried it yet on Rhaast or is it just pure bs?

Find myself often getting and early lead or just in general getting a lot of kills, but I never seem to be able to carry the game or end the game, which is really frustruating, since sometimes when the enemy is behind will sudenly start getting picks and slowly start making a comeback and eventually we lose. Which is soo frustriating, since I dont know what to do.

in this game I was 7/1 at one point but didnt know what to do, to progress the game, other than trying to get drakes/baron. Which eventually just caused us to lose.

Also please dont say that it was my team, even if you think it was, since that doesnt really help move me pogress.

Hi been sitting in diamond for a while peak master a few season ago. Been struggling with kayn for a while since he lost his late game carry potential. I usually just full clear with kayn and gank whenever I see an oppurtunity or whenever there free jg time, but been struggling to really see myself carry in a lot of games or have an insane impact. Usually I get out ganked and team is too behind before i come online or I come online do decent for a few minutes then fall off when top and adc start to outscale. I guess I am wondering if any high elo kayns have seen a shift in strat that I am not seeing, possibly doing a enemy raptor start and cheesing them?

Every new champ seems to have a lot of shred.. think of gwen briar ambessa zaahen etc. I wish they'd give Rhaast armour pen scaling from 10% to 30% because it's annoying to stack lethality and armour pen items in order to heal on this champ. Maybe then people would start building items like eclipse steraks bc and overlord's bloodmail? Obviously they can't just give him armour pen for free Riot still needs to nerf something in his kit to make this happen unless we want him at 60% wr.

What do you guys think? Do you like the idea of Rhaast having innate shred in his kit? Could this actually make bruiser Rhaast a thing..?

I've seen the new heartsteel supposed leak and what do u guys think about Kayn getting yet again a skin with short hair with what i could tell somewhat of a taper or wtv

I think if they were to give him long hair or atleast till his collar bone it would fit his identity the most while still keeping that rockstar vibe that heartsteel has to offer

they probs know HS Kayn lacks darker looking chromas and such so they may capitalize on that

Edit: on Heartsteel original release most people were betting on Aphelios getting the legendary... So I'd expect him to get a legendary this time, Kayn a mythic variant and the rest standard epic skins

That means new skin and maybe a buff/attention for Kayn

Got to level 30 back in like 2022 and didn’t start till June 26, basically otped kayn since I started playing ranked. I feel like I’m mostly dying due to not knowing what enemy champs does and if there’s anyway for me to learn it easily.

Fleet Footwork on Kayn — why does LoLalytics and Coachless.gg like it, but OTPs don't?

I've been looking at Kayn data on sites like LoLalytics and Coachless, and I've noticed something interesting with Fleet Footwork.

Fleet seems to perform surprisingly well statistically, but when I look at Kayn OTPs / OneTricks.gg, I barely see any high-level Kayn one-tricks using it.

So I'm wondering:

Is Fleet actually good on Kayn, or is this mostly a case of misleading win-rate data?

I'm especially curious about the difference between the two forms:

- Shadow Assassin: Fleet seems like it could make sense for the sustain + MS + tempo, especially for farming and getting around the map.

- Rhaast: I'm less sure, since Conqueror seems more naturally suited to extended fights and Rhaast already has a lot of sustain.

For people who actually play a lot of Kayn:

When would you consider Fleet over the standard keystones?

And is it something that's actually good on both forms, or mainly Shadow?

I'm trying to build a small 4-champion jungle pool and I'm currently considering Kayn as my AD option for squishier comps, so I'd like to understand whether Fleet is something worth learning or just a statistical anomaly.

Would love to hear from high-mastery Kayn players, especially if you've actually tested Fleet yourself.

Assembled the scythe today to get used to holding it again after an 8 month hiatus since my last con, only to find that somewhere along the way (most likely on the trip home) there was damage to one of the segments.

Rhaasty Boi is currently in for repairs and should be back and even better by October, along with my Heartsteel Rhaast scythe.

Unpopular opinion but games like these where the whole team is running it are more fun. It makes me do things I thought I could never pull off and they make me think more. I find hard stomping games just boring and underwhelming.
