Recently while I was in this space between sleep and wakeness, I had a dream or vision of sorts of a chocolate skinned lady in what interpret as Egyptian garments come to me and say "I need to seek out Bastet" or something along the lines of that. I've taken some time to learn more about the Goddess but am wanting some more resources about Bastet and Kemeticism as a whole, if anyone has any good resources please let me know

Hi everyone, I've been researching and practicing kemeticism in varying intensities for a handful of years now. It's recently come back to the surface again and this time I'd like to focus on making it a reasonable part of my day to day life (and not just researching until I overwhelm myself).

Anyways, I have always been strongly drawn to nature. It's what drew me to pagan faiths in the first place. When I was younger I looked into different nature-based religions and practices and tried to find what sat the best with me. Once I opened myself up to new possibilities a while after following my mom out of the Mormon church I grew up in, for a lack of better terms, I feel like I was immediately "claimed" by Bast. I fought myself with it for years, not ready for the idea of gods yet, but She never left me. I couldn't ever fully leave Her. I would go into Kemeticism as a whole, back out and think maybe just Kemetic based witchcraft, maybe just Her squeezed into another nature-based faith or craft, and go in circles.

This is all just background to say all of Kemeticism has grown on me and I have found different ways of interpretation that align with my own worldviews without totally distorting what Kemeticism is, but one of the things I still grapple with is the difference in natural environments. I think, how can I follow gods and beliefs that are from a completely different natural cycle? I sometimes look at the animals and plants that are around me and think, "these aren't represented by the pantheon I follow". The calendar feels useless to me, being largely based on the flow of the Nile if I remember correctly.

So I wanted to ask, how do you reconcile with this? How do you still find the gods in your own different nature? Bast is easy to see, it's some of the others and the lack of representation of my nature that bothers me. But no other pantheon speaks to me like the Kemetic one does.

This is my first time! And I'll be adding so much more as time goes on, including hand crafted stuff. How do my hieroglyphics and drawing look? It's in a note book I'll keep closed unless I'm praying/offering! (Anything I looked up on Google said this is how to spell Khonsu In hieroglyphics, correct me if I'm wrong please!)

My parents would not be thrilled with the idea of me believing in the netjeru, so I'm trying to also keep it discreet! Over time I will also work on separate shrines for anubis, Ra, and Thoth and update you guys!

I love seeing the gods in person

I'm new here. I don't really know what's going on, and it's been years since I've come into a practice and had genuinely been this new, I'm very glad about it. Still, I don't know where to start :(. I used to be a christian, then a long long road of everything, from new age spirituality sadly, through the Greek pantheon and even demonolotry but I have never considered nor seen anybody talk about working with the Egyptian gods, so while I may know a thing or two and be very familiar with Hellenic Politeism and others I don't know a thing here. If somebody has worked with the Greek pantheon or has explored other things outside Kemetism, is it similar?

(This post isn't about finding an answer, but about finding direction for my spiritual journey.)

I don't know clearly what I should do. Usually, I start to practice and research Paganism, but I want to go back to how things were before. I really don't know why, to be honest.

So, I tried to find a piece of the answer, even if it was tiny, in Buddhism. Fortunately, I found some peace and a small sense of direction (which is just my subjective opinion). My Buddhism practice is finished for now.

Anyway, I think maybe some Pagans in this community have experienced something like this before (or are experiencing it now). Therefore, I want to hear your stories and how you overcame it, because I really want to make a fresh start.

I'm going to learn about Kemetism, whether or not I end up practicing it (or Paganism in general) tho.

I'm an ex Christian turned Pagan and a few months ago I was meditating and I sensed a spirit in my room. I asked it to let me feel it and its presence was so overwhelming it made me cry. It felt like strength along my arms and back. I asked what it was and didn't get an answer at first but yesterday I was meditating and I felt the urge to bow so I did and as I did the name Ra came to me. I asked the presence who it was and the answer was Ra. It was noon exactly when this happened. I started watching videos on him and today I'm doing research. What are some tips and practices I can do for him.

Note: I have altars for other gods at my girlfriend's house and I can't make an altar at my own place.

I've wanted to get a sistrum for a while, but the ones I like are pretty expensive. So, in the meantime, I made one myself out of a tree branch, jewelry wire, ribbon, and wooden beads. Nothing fancy, but I think it'll do its job.

How does the gods in general respond to injustice in today world?

Hello!!! I am making a portrait of Isis and Osiris and I am wondering if this sketch is recognizable as Isis? (Very rough sketch - don’t judge my artwork too hard!!) She is depicted here with the cow horns and sun disk so I am nervous she may be confused with Hathor, though I’m sure that having Osiris in the same portrait will make it an obvious Isis depiction. I know that Isis is also depicted with the throne hieroglyph on her head, but to be honest I liked the look of horns/sun disk better for this painting.

This is my first devotional artwork and I’m quite nervous, I’m sure everything is fine here and I’m just overthinking it!! If that’s the case, is there anything else mandatory in depictions of Isis and Osiris respectively?

Hello everyone,I am a devotee of Anubis. He was the first god who approached me, giving me signs and messages, so from that point on, I thought I would only focus on the Egyptian pantheon. However, a few days ago, out of nowhere, I started seeing many signs related to Maa Kali. I had never looked into her before and didn't really know anything about her.Yesterday, I went through a very difficult moment. I have constantly suffered from injustices and psychological abuse from my family. That day, I was crying out of anger and frustration, but I also felt a tremendous amount of hatred. I felt like I was going to explode at any moment, so I prayed to Anubis asking for guidance because I don't want to become someone filled with hatred and resentment. I just wanted change and justice.Right after I went to sleep, I had a dream about Maa Kali. She gave me so much calm and peace. In the dream, I was a child, around 5 years old, and she was there. She had a very maternal yet incredibly powerful aura. Now, I can feel her presence. I even went to a Hinduism subreddit to ask if this was a calling, and they confirmed that it was.But at the same time, this is causing me a bit of confusion. Is it okay to worship different gods from different pantheons? From what I've researched, it shouldn't be a problem, but the posts I've seen never really mention any Hindu deities mixed with others. I am terrified of causing offense or not doing things correctly.I’m new to this and I don't speak English fluently, so I am using a translator to share this. Thank you so much for reading.

Hi. I've been a Heathen (Germanic Pagan) for many years now. Recently I've found myself wanting to be a multi-traditionalist. Though I am European, I've found myself becomint interested in the Kemetic pantheon and religion. I've done research and its seems that the consensus is that Kemeticism is an open religion and thus it is okay for Europeans to practise. (If this is incorrect, please tell me.) I haven't yet decided if I actually want to practise it, but I am very interested to learn more. Do you have any advice? How well-documented is this religion? (I, like all other Heathens, find the lack of documentation of our religion to be painful, and I'm not sure I want to practise another religion where so much is unknown.) Any good beginner guides? The past one year has been a roller-coaster, from the netjeru coming to my life out of nowhere which disrupted my worldview at the time as an atheist scientist. Anyway, the experience was filled with relief, happiness, gratitude which turned to attachment quickly. My past religious guilt upbringing came back full blown and I would think something bad will happen and I will get punished if I missed offerings every day. I will cry if I don't hear from the netjeru and ruminate if it is something I did wrong and they left me. Bastet told me, you have to love yourself multiple times. Then I started overthinking, am I loving myself the right way? If I did something that was not rooted in self love, now I am feeling down and guilty.

My mental health plummeted and I ended up having spiritual psychosis. I had to confide to my families and friends and take break from school. I was told I have to end my esoteric practices, that I am inviting demons playing mind games and do ruqya( islamic exorcism). I did it. I still saw bast throughout the exorcism. The antidepressants and taking break from the rituals is what worked eventually and now I don't have spiritual experiences anymore. I am much better now and can look back and say I made the mistake of going in all in when I was not in a good mindframe. I was having nightmares of being tortured by entities because of my rumination and heavy guilt consciousness. Now I want to rekindle the relationship but I wonder what they think of the fact that I did exorcism and believed I was being attacked by demons when they helped me. Honestly, I feel shame to go back. Also, I am getting screened for bipolar so I am a mess and worry this may not be my first time offending the gods again.

Ever since I have learned about Ancient Egypt in 6th grade (now in my junior year of highschool) I felt it had a stronger pull toward me, and Ma'at being something that speaks to my heart when I think of it. I fully believe in the Egyptian gods ever since but I don't know where to start.

I'm worried my parents will think I'm dumb for it, and I'm honestly not sure how to say this to anyone in my life that I do believe in the kemetism.

The main deities I personally feel the strongest pull to is Khonsu, Ra, thoth, and Anubis but I also feel a huge amount of respect for the other gods. How would I worship Khonsu, Ra, Thoth, and Anubis with my parents?

I would also just love any tips or advice for worshipping or anything in general! would they be mad at me for not acting on my faith in them sooner? I'm also slightly worried about that

Hey so, I’m new and Kinda not? I have been trying to get into the religion for over a year, but had to step back dozens of times and kinda can’t have “real” shrines or lots of stuff for them in my house because of catholic family, most stuff are in boxes or chests. And i had a long step away because I wad do lost and I incredibly still don’t know where to start. So again a new beginning… I’m interested in worshipping Anubis, Osiris but also Min or any god related to Love, Queerness and Sex and thats why I want to know if there are specific resources or books on any of them as well as recommendations of gods or goddesses related to it. Eu comecei a seguir eles nas redes sociais, tem bastante conteúdo sobre a religião e lives de aulas e orientação para culto e altar doméstico.

Mas já tem um tempo que eu tô parada nos meus cultos de tudo, mas recentemente lembrei sobre a comunidade enquanto fazia uma organização dos meus materiais. Daí me veio a dúvida sobre a mentoria de um sacerdote e quem busca e o porque dá necessidade de ter.

Eu acredito que no meu caso eu acho eficiente e beneficico ter suporte e orientação de um sacerdote e uma iniciação formal por conta das minhas circunstâncias.

Daí eu queria saber se tem alguém aqui que já teve contato com a comunidade Ka Em Neter e se recomenda buscar esse suporte ou se eles sequer dão formação sacerdotal?.

I gasped and said I should totally post this moment for all of his devotees. No god ever answered me this quickly, My heart isn’t in pain anymore , I actually feel peace with Anubis.:)
