Console [C] Help matching orbits

This might just be a console issue so sorry if I’m in the wrong place but thought I’d ask here cause any tips would be appreciated (took a tedious amount of tweaks to get this close).

On career mode, just sent my first probe out and thought I’d try profit from the effort. Got the Ap and Pe within 50m of the target (1st pic) and the inclination looks bang on (2nd) but the contract won’t complete. Find it hard to believe that isn’t reasonable deviation.
Also is there a better way to check incline without having a target?

Xx

Your ascending and descending nodes are 180 degrees off, which is to say you're orbiting backwards

Thanks feeling a bit daft now I see it

No need to feel daft. Every single ksp player has done this

Good news is that Minmus orbit is incredibly slow, so you should only need 74.5*2 m/s of dV to reverse your orbit.

Nice. Probably also saved me, sure I’d have tried flipping it ridially👀

For the future, if you do this on a higher gravity body (where your orbital speed will be higher) you can save a bit of dV by raising your Apoapsis to close to the edge of the sphere of influence, "flipping" the orbit at the new Ap, and then lowering the Ap again.

Feels counterintuitive because it's 3 manuevers but for a full 180 degree change it should come out a bit cheaper

Good call, doubt it’ll be long before this helps me out

I promise you that almost every single player who has played career mode has done this at least once. I chuckled a bit when I saw your post because it made me remember the first time I made this mistake.

Are you orbiting in the right direction?
