Chest Pressing Trains The Triceps Long Head

Many people say pressing movements don’t train the long head of the triceps. However, I think it plays a very important role due to Lombards Paradox, which is described by Van Ingen Schenau (1989) in the paper, the long head has to maintain some basal tension during the press to allow the force of the shoulder extensors to extend the elbow. A very useful mechanism that helps the body extend weaker joints through the extension of stronger joints.

What do you guys think?
