I’m not a food snob but I do appreciate good whole foods and fill my plate with them. Nutritious and Delicious, as the old sod goes.
I am also diabetic, which I keep under excellent control because I pay attention to my diet

My diabetic breakfast this morning at the hospital was the following:
30g of Vector cereal- 14% of daily sugar
Blueberry yogurt- 12% daily sugar
Carrot muffin- 12%
Milk- 12%
And apples, sliced.
Who needs dessert when your meal is is 50% of your daily sugar intake??
The care has been exceptional, the staff kind but MORRISON the food company that provides food aughta be ashamed of themselves

does anyone know who the property management would be for the complex in 257 Rideau Street? I understand these are low income housing but it does not seem they are operated by the City of Kingston. I am trying to reach the correct managers so I can submit a report regarding two aggressive dogs living there that are loose and have already caused two incidents this month. I submitted a report to city of Kingston animal control but nothing will be done until it’s too late. If anyone knows what company or association manages those properties, I would appreciate the information.

Kingston Nerds!

Tomorrow and every Wednesday from 6 to 9 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion #560 (734 Montreal Street), a bunch of us nerds get together to enjoy some games and good times. The usuals are:

Board games: Lots of different games have seen regular play lately. Some old, some new, some absolutely classic. Come alone or with your group, there's always a table at Nerd Night.

TCGs: MTG, Star Wars: Unlimited, Legions Realms at War, and Pokemon.

Tabletop RPGs: Daggerheart is so-hot-right-now, this week we also have a D&D one-shot, and other games pop up all the time. Look up our Discord server for more info.

Video games: We have some retro consoles with classic games, and people bring other consoles to play on the big TV.

Food & Drinks: The kitchen closes at 7, the cash bar runs all evening.

Awesome Nerds: Fantastic people to hang out with. For real.

As usual: No cover, no membership, no expectation to spend any money. Cash donations are welcome but optional. Proceeds are donated to the Legion and help us keep the event going.
