I’ve found myself in KGH for an extended stay through some dumb luck.
I’m not a food snob but I do appreciate good whole foods and fill my plate with them. Nutritious and Delicious, as the old sod goes.
I am also diabetic, which I keep under excellent control because I pay attention to my diet

My diabetic breakfast this morning at the hospital was the following:
30g of Vector cereal- 14% of daily sugar
Blueberry yogurt- 12% daily sugar
Carrot muffin- 12%
Milk- 12%
And apples, sliced.
Who needs dessert when your meal is is 50% of your daily sugar intake??
The care has been exceptional, the staff kind but MORRISON the food company that provides food aughta be ashamed of themselves

does anyone know who the property management would be for the complex in 257 Rideau Street? I understand these are low income housing but it does not seem they are operated by the City of Kingston. I am trying to reach the correct managers so I can submit a report regarding two aggressive dogs living there that are loose and have already caused two incidents this month. I submitted a report to city of Kingston animal control but nothing will be done until it’s too late. If anyone knows what company or association manages those properties, I would appreciate the information.

The study is conducted at Providence Care Hospital and requires daily treatment visits Monday-Friday for 6 weeks.

Mid 20s F. Would love to start integrating myself to the city… a lot of the posts about this are older so I thought I’d bring it up again in case anything new has popped up. Could be anything from book clubs that skew young, to walking clubs, any bars w trivia nights/socials could work too. Only thing I’ve considered so far is KSSC which seems promising. I just moved to Kingston for my Master's of Physical Therapy. I just bought a bike that I plan on riding to campus. I've been a daily bike commuter for 6 years and have plenty of experience with the constant struggle against thieves.

Part of daily bike commuting is knowing the safer or less safe places to lock up, as well as the behaviour of the thieves. Being new to Kingston, I don't know either of those two.

Being a PT student I will be spending a lot of my time around KGH, the health sciences building, and a few surrounding buildings. I've already ridden around to scope out the area and there is plenty of racks near the main entrance where I would imagine there is lots of foot traffic. Would it be silly to lock up in that area?

Alternatively, I know Queens has a $25 secure bike area. Would that be worth it?
