📣Announcements📣 [Product Experience] Cook Along Anywhere: Share Your Kitchen Setup for a Chance to Try the LG StanbyME 2 Max

Post image
0 Upvotes

Korean cooking keeps both hands busy, and following a recipe usually means a phone balanced somewhere on the counter. A portable screen that rolls up to where you cook keeps the recipe in view.

The LG StanbyME 2 Max steps up from the 27 inch QHD model of the StanbyME 2 to a 32 inch 4K UHD touchscreen, so a recipe stays readable from across the counter, and lifts the sound from virtual 9.1.2 to virtual 11.1.2 channel audio (2.0 channel speakers with AI Sound Pro) with Dolby Atmos.

The battery grows to 144 Wh for up to 4.5 hours of wireless use, up from up to 4 hours. Tap the screen to pause when your hands are busy, then roll it from the counter to the table.

Five members of this community get the chance to try one.

Couldn’t decide what to have for lunch, so I came here after seeing all the amazing reviews… and wow, there was already a line at noon! 😳

This place is super popular with Koreans, and now I know why. So much tender meat, rich flavorful broth, and honestly… SO good. 🤤❤️

A must-try Korean soul food spot! 🇰🇷✨

I popped into Secret Korean Kitchen in New Malden at the weekend and it was absolutely fantastic. If you’re in the area you should definitely check it out! I’d never had tteokgalbi before but I’ll definitely try and make some myself now! We also had some steamed dumplings, Korean fried chicken, banchan, and I had a pork and kimchi stir fry. I had quite a lot of leftovers so as per the lady in the restaurant’s suggestion I took them home and fried it up with my leftover rice. What a great decision! She also gave us an extra banchan I didn’t photograph which was lightly pickled grapes. Has anyone ever had or made this before? They were lovely!

Kimchee! A warm Korean-style shabu-shabu meal, perfect for sharing

Post image

Korean-style shabu-shabu is a popular meal where thinly sliced meat, fresh vegetables, mushrooms, and noodles are cooked together in a flavorful broth.

One of the best parts is what comes afterward. Once most of the ingredients are finished, we often add noodles or rice to the remaining broth to make kalguksu or fried rice. It’s warm, comforting, and perfect for sharing with friends or family.

Shabu-shabu goes incredibly well with Korean kimchi. I recently visited Lotte Department Store and saw that they even serve individual portions like this. Everything was beautifully arranged, fresh, and surprisingly healthy. It felt like such a clean and comforting meal!

Have you ever tried Korean-style shabu-shabu?

Upgraded to Tuna Gimbap! Redemption after last time

Remember that basic gimbap with the slightly dry rice I had before? Well, I decided to switch things up today and went with Tuna Gimbap (Chamchi Gimbap) instead!

What a redemption arc. This time, the rice was perfectly moist, and it was packed with generous amounts of savory tuna mixed in smooth, creamy mayo. The textures and flavors blended together so well, making every single bite an absolute delight.

You truly can never go wrong with tuna gimbap. Hands down one of the best comfort foods ever!

I also have a Korean Giant and Hosui, but animals got to them before the fruits were even ripe. I’m not sure if a tree is interesting enough to be posted here. If the galbi turns out alright I’ll post a pic tomorrow.
