let me preface by saying this: this was my first anime that i watched all the way through without dropping. sure, it had weird pacing, arcs that got resolved weird, potential that never really had an effect on the story, etc. overall, i'd rate it an 7/10.

now, here is my reasoning for having an 7/10.

everything before S2E14 was just standard. what i would expect from assassination classroom. but then, the kayano storyline came. for 3 episodes straight, it was 10/10s. S2E17, 9/10. they were on a hot streak.

but then, the post credit scene of S2E18 came, and i was left really confused. why would you put a space arc in here? it just felt sort of lazy. sure, the reasoning was that it was for the gravity and pressure, but the writers could've made it happen in, i don't know, some labratory. not space. i know you have to suspend disbelief here. but this just feels like a copout, not a moment where belief should be suspended.

it stayed at a steady 6/10 for each episode after that. nothing really happened that felt like assassination classroom in that period of episodes, until the last 3 episodes. they were solid. i have very minimal complaints. i liked how they used the (new) reaper, kayano almost dying, it was quite entertaining.

but i didn't like how it was just randomly revealed koro sensei could repair cells. i know he was keeping it secret, but there should've been something indicating he could.

koro sensei's death. very sad. i don't get emotional from tv shows, but this one almost made me cry. the final roll call was so sweet. i am kinda sad that nagisa and kayano never really became a thing, because i really was hoping for that since season 1.

overall, i really liked it. with all the rough patches the show had, it still managed to be really fun to watch, and my god, S2E14-16 were the best episodes i've ever watched of anything.

I've finished Season 1 recently, and have made great progress in Season 2. However, I have noticed that there's several OVAs (?), side stories and movies.

What's the best way to watch them all? (Preferably so that the storyline is still cohesive.)

[I understand that a simple Google search is a more logical approach to this. But, I'd like the opinions of people who have actually watched the anime- and they know the most suitable way to watch it.]

Like i said I love this anime and it's characters but the way Nagisas mom (Hiromi) was just forgiven for all the physical and mental abuse she put her own son through was plain up and utterly disgusting, I don't care which way you put it.
