I’d say Sophia due to her not having any of the typical vampire weaknesses, likely having higher physical stats, and the fact she doesn’t need an absurd amount of human blood to sustain herself like Dead Apostle’s do.
Though, Jester has her beat in regen. As while Sophia has the once per day revive, Dead Apostle regen is just insane. And Jester’s Six Hearted Revolver puts him even higher above that.

But we don’t know Jester’s full power as we only see him after Van Fem abandoned him, which weakened him greatly. And also we don’t know all of the forms of Six Hearted Revolver, so it’s hard to say for sure.

Eh dead apostles also don’t really have the same weaknesses either. Physically speaking? It’s up in the air since DA’s havr a conceptual immunity to human power… like actually jester directly gets fought by people with replica noble phantasms and they just don’t work because they are human. On top of the regen AND the fact we have seen mid-high DA’s actually legitimately fight servant tier beings I’d actually put them in the same weight class even if not equal.

And there’s also the hidden advantage of Jester being genuinely intelligent, and a talented mage. The latter isn’t necessarily an advantage given Sophia has magic resistance. The smarts though is a massive boon since honestly… Sophia is kinda… dumb in my reading so far.

They’re weak to holy relics, sunlight, flowing water, and fire. And they need a genuinely crazy amount of blood to stay alive, and even then that eventually won’t be enough so they’ll have to add a familiar into their body to stay stable.
Though technically that first one is less due to them being holy items and more that a very large percentage of all holy mystic codes were specifically made to better kill Dead Apostles.

Also, yeah their anti-humanity trait is really busted. But Sophia isn’t human so it didn’t seem relevant.

And while Sophia can be kinda dumb, fighting is the main thing that she’s really good at.

Holy relics are functionally a form of DIVINE MAGECRAFT that’s specifically formed to kill vampires as you yourself havr statedthat would outright kill Sophia herself weakness or not so it’s kind of a moot point.

The need to drink copious amounts of blood is meaningless in a combat discussion

They ARENT weak to flowing water at all? Sunlight I forgot about since it basically never comes up that’s more due to 90% of Fate media taking place at night… your honor I plead oopsie daisies

Maybe she gets better in later parts of the series but so far Sophia seems to have a crippling weakness to anyone in her actual weight class, which I’m willing to put high level DA’s in since they can atleast compete with servants who outright are in that weight class and often significantly higher.

Honestly for me atleast jester is being kinda carried by virtue of being a higher end DA as jester himself hasn’t directly done much that’s impressive tbh

  1. Actually the holy relics such as Black Keys might not work on Sophia. They force the body to “remember” being human, and Sophia’s body was never human. Other Vampires would face problems though.
  2. It’s been stated that Sumire, one of the Dead Apostle Ancestors, is impressive for not having a weakness to water, which means they usually do have a weakness to water. For whatever reason it’s never actually been shown though.
  3. Also, while Jester is a higher level DA. He’s also one that has been greatly weakened due to Van Fem abandoning him.

1: I mean she WAS human in a previous life and the scripture weapons are atleast partially spiritual in nature and more importantly here can effect servants who don’t actually have bodies (can’t actually kill them but the fact it can even briefly work at all is impressive), and perhaps I’m misreading the intention here BUT as described it seems like black keys atleast are inscribing human limits onto the body forcing it to die.

2: weird, I’m genuinely shocked nasu hasn’t done anything with that like ever, you could do some pretty cool setups with that! Missed opportunity.

3: valid

They’re inscribing human limits, yes. But they do so be forcing the body to “remember” being human, and the human version of a Dead Apostle is a corpse.
While it’s a different story for her soul, Sophia’s current body has never been human. So probably at least reduced effectiveness.
Especially since the human version of a Kumo Desu Vampire probably isn’t just a corpse, and not all of her regen abilities are based on her vampirism.

I would agree if not for the fact they can work on servants (excluding the obvious of Vlad) who are effectively just copies of souls, so they CAN work on things that aren’t human and never were human.

Either way this has been a really fascinating discussion and I’m reminded of how really fucking cool some of this stuff is.

That’s just cause their spiritual weapons, meaning they can naturally harm spiritual beings, but their “force the body to remember being human” trait isn’t triggering there.(Also excluding Vlad for obvious reasons.)
It’s also noted in the wiki that it is literally impossible for a Black Key to land a fatal wound on a Servant. They can only harm. But I’m not sure what the wiki’s source for that is.

And yeah, Nasuverse lore is really cool.

Nasuverse is such a beautiful weave of play and counter play that despite sounding like some of the most contrived hyper specific nonsense out of context in the actual stories flows so perfectly.

I never thought I would ever see these two animes/franchises interact in any way, shape, or form, and yet here we are. Two of my top three favourite works, as well.

As much as I enjoy Strange Fake, I can't in good conscience call it anything other than a very messy festival of fan service slapping into each other in the playground of an obvious fan of the nasuverse. I really cannot undestrate how almost if not every single piece can be deconstructed into fan service, which while it can be VERY entertaining for those who are already into it, it's not that great of a narrative piece by itself being honest.

And among all the set pieces, I think Jester is one of the worst. It certainly is the worst for me, too edgy for my tastes and the fact that he somehow survives a certain predicament (where the anime ends in) irks me to no end. But even if he's not, it doesn't take that much to be better and Sophia clears it quite handily by just being a much more writen character, not even getting into it lol.

Unless you meant in a fight?

Then I don't know man, I would say that Sophia has much more visual destructive capabilities and tankiness than Jester with the amount of water she can freeze and all she can easily tank that would definitely pierce Jester coupled with a couple nifty hax that could be very useful in universe equalization (envy is truly a bitch if it could work across verses), but on the other hand the progenitors in the nasuverse are extremely bullshit and even if Jester doesn't even scratch the top of these characters and he seems to get hurt and lose lives much easier than Sophia I don't know if she has what it takes, especially considering how much of a proud overconfident idiot she can be at times in spite of her training with Jester being a tricky motherfucker to boot.

I'll say Sophia tentatively, especially if she could use envy to take away Jesters immortality somehow, but I'm very open to the contrary.
