Can someone help me understand the lab class? It’s listed as two separate but it’s only 2 credits? And on canvas is it only one class?

Hi, I just wanted to say that I think it’s extremely inappropriate and disrespectful that their religious people walking around at eight in the morning on the first day of school and harassing students and randomly asking them questions and asking them to join a religious occult when most of us are all going there to get a degree and a education. I just don’t think that this is appropriate. I just don’t think it’s OK acceptable and I feel like someone needs to do something about this.

So my financial says here that it is awarded but one of my classes was dissolved last minute, I had to enroll to a new one and financial aid didn’t captured it..

I was supposed to get like 3,700+ something in financial aid but since it didn’t get it in enough time I only got 3,100 which I badly need for my tuition..

Before they told me that financial aid would like reset it by Tuesday and hopefully count my other class so is it possible for someone who already got their pell grant as “awarded”?

Every day for the past week I’ve been calling the school because I can’t log in to my account and they have never once answered the phone or called me back.

Hi guys! I’m 1st on the waitlist for an online class and was wondering what that process looks like for an online class? For in person classes you get to go in person and go up to the Professor after. But what happens with an online class? Do I get access to the canvas page? That way I can try to go for office hours that week? Like what happens??

Parents just yelled at me cause they were told there’s only 4 days left to get enrolled in promise program. I literally CANNOT get an appointment with my counselor and I was finally able to last night but it’s for next week. Does anybody know anything about still getting it? And how!!???

Hi, I’m a student this upcoming fall, I have no idea with what’s coming I don’t know the buildings of which my classes are located, so I’m scared I’m gonna get lost and such so am I allowed to at least like enter the buildings around the campus to search my classes? Just to look 😭

Wanted to ask here before I sat on the phone. So i submitted my fafsa classes before I signed up for classes this coming fall semester. I got granted my spring Pell grant 2027 but nothing for fall 2026. Should I wait for an update or should I call Fafsa at Pierce to figure out where my grant is for this coming semester?

Hi, I hope this is allowed! My partner and I are both students at Pierce college and live very near it (throwaway reddit so I'm not doxxing my main account). We are looking to hire a disability aide worker for my partner, with funding through the state, and are trying to find 1-2 students to hire. We are looking for a worker who has a car and is comfortable around cats and large dogs (she has a service dog + we have cats). All of the anatomy classes for fall 2026 are already full. Has anyone had any luck showing up in person on the first day, even if you weren’t on the waitlist and still getting into the class? I’m wondering if crashing an anatomy class is even possible (since it’s a high demand class). A friend told me it doesn’t really work like that now so I’m curious 🥲

Hii everyone!! I had a little problem with my FASFA application that I just recently noticed. The school that I entered was Pierce College in Washington, and I just changed it to be the correct Pierce. Now I know the college has to receive my information and process my FASFA form and everything.

I’m wondering though, how everyone pays for tuition if their FASFA form is being currently delayed for whatever reason, if anyone happens to be in the same mix up as me. I know usually in colleges, the school simply pays for the tuition automatically, using some of the FASFA money you were promised, and then you receive your erefund later, but im in a tough spot right now because my whole FASFA is being processed again and our tuition paying deadline is soon, and if we don’t pay we get dropped from classes. Is there anyway I can still put that im going to pay with FASFA in the future once my FASFA form gets processed??? Do I simply have to pay the tuition right now to not get dropped from classes, then get my FASFA refund all together later to make up for the debt I’d be in? Can I simply just not pay anything and hope my FASFA will be processed soon? What do I do? The bad thing is that im pretty reliant on FASFA to pay my tuition, I may suck it up and take a loan out to pay if there’s no other way, then repay the loan once I receive my FASFA, but I don’t want to do that if I know I have other options. At this point do I simply have to pay the tuition and there’s nothing else for me to do? Someone help

Has anyone gone through the parking appeal proces? I got a citation yesterday and I am wondering if they wave it for a discounted price for first time offense when you appeal.

I'm kind of stuck deciding what to do and would love to hear from people who've been in a similar situation.

I'm currently registered to start at CSUN this fall as a biology major freshman, but lately I've realized I'm not even sure biology is what I want to do anymore. My long-term goal has always been to transfer to a school like SDSU or a UC, and I also really want the experience of living in a new city and being on a more traditional college campus.

The thing is, CSUN seems like a great school, so part of me feels like I should just stay. On the other hand, I'm wondering if starting at Pierce College would make more sense since I'd have more time to figure out my major, save money, and possibly have a better chance of transferring somewhere I'd be excited to spend my last two years.

One thing I've been thinking about is that I've heard CSUN is a commuter school, and I'm worried it might not feel much different socially from going to Pierce since I'd probably be commuting either way. I don't know if that's actually true, so I'd love to hear from people who've attended either school.

I've also thought about just trying CSUN for one semester and then switching to Pierce if it doesn't feel right.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? If you had the choice between starting at a CSU or going to community college with the goal of transferring, what would you do? Do you regret either decision?
