I was looking at the undergraduate admission statistics at LSE and saw that BSc A&F and BSc Management has way lower acceptance rate than the most popular BSc Economics. While these two aren't that popular?

Does this imply that getting into BSc Economics is kinda easier than those two? Since more available spaces will mean more chances to land an offer?

Furthermore, I would appreciate if I could get more information about the admission statistics at LSE as for latest.

Hey, recently received an offer for MSc Financial Statistics and was wondering if anyone here has done (or knows much about) this course and what the career prospects are actually like?
I’m coming from a MORSE background at Lancaster uni and I’m mainly interested in quant/markets type roles, so I’m trying to work out how well the degree lines up with that. The course looks pretty quantitative and obviously has the financial stats side, but it’s more stats/maths-heavy rather than a straight Financial Mathematics/Mathematical Finance MSc, so I’m not sure how recruiters view it for quant roles.
Would be especially interested to hear what kinds of jobs people from the course actually end up in — quant research/trading, strats, risk, data science, banking etc — and whether it’s viewed as a strong quant MSc.
Also would really appreciate any info on salaries/outcomes. LSE’s graduate data shows a £62k median salary around 15 months after graduating, but that’s only based on 9 responses, so there’s annoyingly not much data to go off.
Basically trying to figure out whether it’s worth doing if the goal is quant/finance rather than a more general stats career. If anyone has done the MSc, recruited from it, or knows recent grads, would love to hear your experience.

I’m a Year 1 student at LSE in BSc Mathematics, Statistics, and Business. I’m considering about transferring to BSc Financial Mathematics and Statistics but I’m not sure. Is there any advantage of FMS over MSB? If it is, I think I should choose EC1B3, MA102, and MA104. What content do these three courses include? I’m a beginner of computer. Any suggestions for courses selection? Anyone can compare ST, MA, and AC?

Hiiiii, im a first-year msb (mathematics, statistics, and business) student, and now i have questions about course selection. im rlly interested in banking stuff and etc. I want to know whether MA102 or AC102 or AC103 is more suitable for this kind of path or in other words for upcoming years. I knew that MA102 is rlly hard, but im worried if not taking it would impede from choosing second year course.

For competitive non flagship course A*AA req ones half 9/8 and half 7 with one or two 6

For less competitive AAA min req course anywhere between 7-9 with two or more 6-

I'm moving to London now to study at LSE and will be living at Robeson House. I’m trying to figure out the most cost-effective transport option and would especially appreciate advice from current or previous Robeson House students.

As I understand it, the main options are:

• 18+ Student Oyster + Zone 1–2 Travelcard: £119.90/month or £1,248/year
• 18+ Student Oyster + Bus & Tram Pass: £66.50/month or £692/year
• Contactless/PAYG: Zone 1–2 daily cap is currently £8.90, with no student discount

What I’m particularly unsure about is whether it makes sense to get the Student Bus & Tram Pass and then pay separately for Tube/train journeys when needed, or whether I should just use contactless for everything.

For anyone who has lived at Robeson House, what worked out cheapest for you? Is the Bus & Tram Pass worth getting, or does contactless/PAYG usually work out better?

Has anyone got into LSE, for courses like philosophy and economics, with achieved grades of AAA or know anyone that has?

It's probably a simple question but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I don't know if for my first year I should include myself in the PhD-oriented topics in emails I receive or not. Also, I'm still not sure if I should refer to my self as a master student or a PhD. Sorry if it's quite simple, but as a non-uk, foreigner to the 1+3 system I'm not sure.

Would I be disadvantaged talking about behavioral economics more so than talking about monetary policies / development excetra . I known it probably doesn’t matter too much but all the successful applicants I see are talking about how they wanna reduce inequality in their home country and stuff like that

Hi, to give you some context. I’ve already completed my Duolingo English Test after LSE told me, due to my extenuating circumstances, to take it and get a minimum score of 125. I just got my result and scored 140. Now my question is.... does anyone know what exactly the LSE Internal Language Test is, how easy or difficult it is? I just want to get my CAS asap to apply for UK visa.

International student from singapore trying for finance i got 3A* in math econ geog and A in FM, but my O level grades were trash c5 and c6 mostly but a a2 for geography and english lit, i took the GCSE recently and got 9 in Math FM geog lit econ business accounting with a 8 in chinese , can i still get in or is it even worth applying? i have a good portfolio, internships and national team sports for over 6 years with coaching experience , and a lot of certs: bmc goldman excel , have a lot of competitions participated in for math olympiad , very competent in python.

Hello shall keep it short - the MSc I want to apply for is still accepting admissions and the course starts this September. My references are all ready to go etc so if I were to apply say today and get the application sent and downloaded in the next 24hrs whilst it’s still open- will I still be considered?

The average response time is set at 8 weeks but the course starts in 4. It seems the course must still have space, but will I even hear back? This whole rolling admissions thing has me a bit frazzled 😓 thank you for any help
