Power and groove are essential elements for a good industrial album, says musician CC McKenna.

“I think it has to have the emotional connection,” McKenna, who formed the industrial metal band Death Dealer Union and serves as its drummer, said. “And I also think that the vocals need to kind of take you to a different place, and in our case, I think they [...] do that very well.”

Death Dealer Union is set to release its second album, “Dark Sister,” on Sept. 18. It’s a follow up to the band’s 2023 debut album, “Initiation,” and brings in a new lead vocalist — Kay Bellows.
