I am honestly so sad, shocked, and disappointed by what I experienced at Jinnah.

I recently had an encounter with a bat and, naturally, needed a rabies vaccine. We went to one of the known government hospitals that provides it. It was after 1am if this context is needed. 

My complaint is the sheer level of incompetence, indifference, and, frankly, dehumanisation that I witnessed from almost every person involved.

When we arrived, we were given a slip and directed to the pharmacy to collect the vaccine. My father went to collect the syringe, and what came back was a syringe with an already-opened packet. The pharmacist told us that the vaccines were pre-prepared and that this was simply how they were administered. My father was obv skeptical. So we went back to the doctor and politely asked whether the already-opened syringe was safe to use. And instead of simply explaining the procedure, the doctor and the two attendees behind her became defensive and started speaking to us very loudly and condescendingly and there were no other patients there at the time so we weren't disturbing them for alot too. 

Funny thing is, I had literally just completed a research project on healthcare policy and the horrifying practices surrounding medical waste, including the alleged circulation and reuse of discarded syringes within government healthcare systems. I had spoken to people involved in overseeing these institutions. I had read about the failures in procurement, disposal, monitoring and accountability. I have SEEN these "businesses." Obv no one in their prudent mind would use an open syringe. My father asked the pharmacist to prepare another one. And shukar she did.

After receiving the vaccine, I asked the attendees whether there were any follow-up doses that I needed to receive. They said no. My father asked the same question and received the same answer. We asked twice, and both attendees gave us the same information both times. Then the sweeper standing nearby overheard us and called us over. She told us that there was, in fact, a schedule of follow-up rabies vaccinations that we needed to follow. So my father went back and asked again, specifically mentioning the follow-up doses. One person still said no, while another finally said yes. Within a few SECONDS, he changed his stance and gave us the schedule as we had told him.

This is not a minor communication issue. Patients need clear and accurate information about the treatment they are receiving, especially when it involves a life-saving vaccination schedule. Government hospitals may be overwhelmed, and their staff may be working under impossible conditions, but that does not justify dismissing legitimate safety concerns or providing contradictory instructions. Patients should not have to rely on sweepers or google for information that medical staff are responsible for communicating.

AOA. I want to share my experience so this does not happens to anyone else. I placed order yesterday on foodpanda. Order was already paid through debit card. After few minutes I received a call from rider telling me that few items from my order are out of stock. He asked me to cancel the order because items were missing from order. He said that my prepaid order amount will be refunded to me. So i sent the cancel request after which he blocked my number. My payment was not refunded and i did not receive my order. What actually happened was he picked up the order before cancelling the order. Now foodpanda is also not helping me and saying this was a non refundable order because it was picked up and items are wasted. Foodpanda does not understand a simple logic, why would someone cancel a already paid order after it was shipped.

Hey everyone, I had an unfortunate incident today around 2pm on service RD near shadman, and I’m trying to figure out how I can identify the driver who was involved. The area of incident was after the cardiology centre and before the shadman roundabout that leads to crescent school boys.
I am a new driver and my car’s speed was 20. He bumped me from the back and Unfortunately, I was too shocked at the time to get the car’s number plate or properly identify the vehicle.
I’m planning to report it to 15 tomorrow and also check whether there are any CCTV cameras around the area.
What would be the best way to go about finding the driver? Can 15/police help with obtaining CCTV footage from nearby businesses, or should I approach the businesses myself?
Any advice on what else I can do to identify the vehicle would be appreciated.

Seriously, the spaces are so dark and unwelcoming, with the drabbest possible interior design choices that it feels like I came here to microdose on depression. So this might not be something people prioritize in a coworking space but if someone has any suggestions on a space that’s not all drab and dull, with good lighting (ideally some natural light comes inside the building), do let me know!
