Weird because Page Six put six actors forward for the screen tests this September, those actors being Jack Lowden, Callum Turner, Paul Mescal, Jack Barton, Jacob Elordi and Harris Dickinson. No mention of O’Connell. Do we think this leak is likely? I know RPK can be hit or miss.

I've seen this little indie game around and it looks really cool, I heard they're releasing the game in the Barcelona Games Festival in October, is this true??

I think I may have stumbled across an unused Pikuniku OST track called “Nice Friends.” I found an MP3 simply named nice friends.mp3, and from what I can tell it doesn't seem to be part of the officially released soundtrack. The audio itself sounds very much like it could fit Pikuniku, though, so I'm wondering if this was an unused/early track from development. I'm not 100% sure where it originally came from, so I'm not claiming this is definitely legit. Just thought it was interesting and wanted to see if anyone here recognizes it or knows anything about a track called “Nice Friends.” Has anyone heard this before?

I have a friend who just watched the entire Zach Cregger Resident Evil movie. His job sometimes requires him to watch movies before they’re officially released to the public.

We talked about it, and now I’ve got some information to share.

WARNING: I’m going to spoil the entire movie. If you don’t want to know anything that could ruin your experience when the movie officially comes out, get out now.

I haven’t followed too much of the online speculation or leaked information about this movie, so some of the things I mention here may already be known by a lot of people. Apologies in advance if that’s the case.

PLOT:

The whole story basically follows the script that leaked earlier this year almost one to one.

Our main character gets a delivery job, and apparently what he’s delivering is some kind of antidote or virus sample. (I don’t know the exact medical terminology sorry)

The entire movie is basically about him trying to make this delivery while surviving everything that happens along the way.

At the end, he gets infected and manages to make the delivery to the virus lab, but it’s already too late for him. The scientists have successfully developed an antivirus, but he’s already starting to transform.

Before they can inject him with it, because the chickenshit scientists are too scared to approach him,he transforms into a huge mass of tentacles and absorbs them. And that’s basically the story of the movie: simple, intense, and full of action.

The only major difference from the leaked script is that, around the middle of the story, two people the main character meets along the way(one is a police officer and the other is a scientist/Umbrella employee) die differently from how they did in the script.

Other than that, most of the movie is apparently the same as the leaked script.

TONE OF THE MOVIE:

I don’t think this is the kind of horror movie you’re supposed to take too seriously, despite it has a ton of genuinely scary stuff going on. There’s always this dark, sarcastic sense of humor running through it.

I’d say the movie gives me Evil Dead / Braindead vibes, but toned down a little. It doesn’t go quite as far with the absurd, cartoonish stuff.

I don’t remember where I read this, but wasn’t Zach Cregger involved with an Evil Dead script at some point?

MONSTER DESIGN:

It wouldn’t be Resident Evil if the people working on it didn’t go all out with the monster designs, and they definitely did here. The monsters go full on body horror, and they’re excellently designed.

They look twisted and scary, and the effects are very convincing.

There’s this one scene in a hospital where all the newborn babies turn into monsters while they’re still attached to their placentas. Absolutely crazy shit.

Unfortunately, we don’t see many classic Resident Evil monsters in this movie. Most of the creature designs seem heavily influenced by The Thing. There’s even one scene with a monster that looks very similar to the Norris head-spider. Maybe an homage?

So you can imagine what most of the monsters are like: bodies melted together, tentacles everywhere.

But that doesn’t mean the monsters have zero connection to the games.

Around the middle of the movie, there’s a monster that looks somewhat similar to a Licker. And at the end, our main character transforms into something that looks VERY G5-like. A lot of the monsters share that typical G-virus-infected look: eyes, teeth, tentacles, mutated flesh, etc.

That actually gave me the feeling that the movie might be connected to the games on some level.

Maybe Umbrella has a lab in this town working on G-virus samples, some employees fucked something up, and the virus infected the whole town? That could explain why we don’t see the classic bioweapons—maybe this particular lab is focused on the G-virus and Umbrella hasn’t started producing actual bioweapons there yet.(I don’t remember the specific details of the game lore )

And no, there are no cameos. None of the classic characters show up.

I believe Umbrella is at least mentioned in the movie, but other than that, from what I’ve heard, this is basically a standalone Zach Cregger horror movie with some Resident Evil elements. A solid one though.

so this is the part of the cyberleek thing nobody’s really talking about.

take-two isn’t just going after the leaker. they went to court to get windows device IDs for everyone who was in three discord servers where the clips were getting shared. not people who uploaded anything. people who were in the room.

and honestly I get why they’re doing it, dude clearly has an actual build, he’s been spelling LEEK on a wall with bullets, the DMCAs aren’t working, three days out from their own reveal. I’d be losing my mind too.

but “we’re subpoenaing a platform for the hardware IDs of everyone who saw it” is a genuinely different thing than going after whoever stole it. half that server is people who joined out of curiosity.

meanwhile he dropped two more this morning. 10 now. the “he got caught” theory died on thursday when hypercar went up after 24 hours of silence.

What is just a claim right now: the entire second group. A screenshot and a devkit claim is not the same tier of evidence as eight videos. It might be real. It also might be someone watching CyberLeek get famous and wanting a turn.

What everyone keeps forgetting: CyberLeek’s clips have a memecoin watermark on them. Whatever the manifesto says about physical discs, the footage is real and the account is running a crypto play at the same time. Both things are true. Trust the footage, not the guy narrating it.

Extended Look is Thursday. Which means in four days we get to find out how much of this actually matched, and that’s the first real visuals anyone’s had on any of it.

Am I missing anything from this morning? And has anyone traced the second group to an actual source, or is it still just the screenshot?
