Missing kitty - pls help!

Post image

Hi all! My sister and her family recently moved to Leander and they don’t use reddit which is why I’m posting. But please read on regarding their missing kitty and please don’t hesitate to message me if you’ve seen her.

Missing kitty! Last seen 8/26 445 pm.
We traced her air tag to our neighbors car who had driven 15 min away…all we found is the collar stuck under the underbelly.
Neighbor left home around 452 according to ring and went to Leander library, cedar park rec center, and Freddy’s off Whitestone and 183.
She could be anywhere please help if you’ve seen her

Omg wow.. with the circumstances, that makes it tricky but not impossible! So then ollar was found under the vehicle? I hope the cat got loose somewhere close to home but I can check the Freddy's area early morning before too many cars are driving around. Maybe 5am-6am. If that was their last stop, I would hope the kitty was free way before that point but it doesn't hurt to check anyway. Before any car show up, would be easier to spot a cat in the area. I can also keep an eye on the Williamson County animal shelter in case the kitty ended up getting picked up. I can call CP animal dept to see if they had any calls or pick ups today. And that doesn't mean anything bad he could have been in the restaurant area and someone called to have him removed. It doesn't hurt to ask.

Thank you! I was also planning to keep an eye on shelter pages. I know they went to the Freddy’s yesterday but it would’ve been prime dinner time and probably busy. I’m also hoping she made it out from under the car before they started driving but we’re just not sure sadly. Thank you again for the offer to help and please reach out if you do happen to find her!

I look near Freddy's and no kitty which is a good thing because that's such a busy area. Cedar Park didn't have any calls or pickups yesterday so that's good as well. I went and looked by the Leander library but only saw a black cat there. I bet she's in the neighborhood she's got to be close cats don't go that far. When I had cats I had this little dessert dishes they were stainless steel and I trained them to come when I would hit a fork on it for dinner time. I was able to use that to get my cat back a couple of times but I'll tell you what really works and people scream and holler about it but it works if she's anywhere in the area. A friend of mine had come over and she was living in her car and had three cats with her one of her cats got out as she was bringing them in to get out of her car for a little bit. And I lived right on pond Springs Road my front yard was just a few feet away from the main Street. So I took some kitty poop from the kitty litter box and I put it around the yard just close in the area of the house because I knew that the wind would shift or whatever but within a couple of hours I saw her cat on the camera and she was able to get her back. It worked and people talk shit about it but whatever they haven't lost an animal then is my opinion. Now after we got her in we went and picked up the poop and then water the grass but I know that that's what did it because she had been gone for a few days. But it was only a couple of hours after we put that out there and it wasn't even hers it was her siblings poop. She came back. So that's just a suggestion especially now that there's a breeze in the wind is blowing that would really work.

They did put out litter food and some of the cat poop from the box so hopefully she’s nearby and catches the scent soon. Thank you so much for putting in the effort to go and look around and provide some tips that have helped you in the past. It’s so appreciated

No problem. Its so hard on us when we have situations like this happen with our animals. She will get the scent and come home soon. Cats are very smart.

Oh PawBoost is a GREAT app with much success on returning pets home as well as Nextdoor app. Both of those have a lot of viewers in the Cedar Park/Leander area.
