So , from what i have heard there will be a public transport strike on the 9th of september , coincidentally that will also be my first day of work at a new job haha so i don't know if i will be able to get there , i looked on the NS page and on some articles and they don't mention the time frame or when will it start .

Tried calling the NS support line but after being on hold for 20 minutes i gave up lol , anyone know of how exactly it will work and if they will be completely unavailable?

I am looking for a studio or clean shared apartment room space to rent against February. I intend to move in by December 2026 or January of 2027. I am a very clean Male student, 31years old and also cool guy to vibe with, while still respectful of boundries.

My budget is €600, and I also look forward to networking so please if you don't have but know someone that knows someone that may have a space for rent, i am very open to that. I also don't mind collaborating with you to rent a 2 bedroom space where we could have our individual rooms to ourselves.

Het idee is vrij simpel: je krijgt steeds twee restaurants te zien en kiest waar je liever zou eten. Bijvoorbeeld TOTT of Bistro Duinkerken? Op basis van alle stemmen ontstaat er een ranglijst die hopelijk beter laat zien waar mensen in Leeuwarden echt graag eten.

We hebben geprobeerd alle restaurants in Leeuwarden toe te voegen en dubbele of verouderde vermeldingen op te schonen, maar locals zullen altijd dingen zien die wij gemist hebben.

Hi all, I'm a student new to leeuwarden and I was having a great day until a man spat on my face as I was cycling home. I was on the right side of the bike lane, I didn't do anything wrong as far as I know, and he was walking on the bike lane and as he passed me he spat right on my face. There was no pedestrians nearby, but it was broad daylight so I was very taken aback. Is this "normal" behaviour from men around here that I should look out for, or was it a once off from a disgusting man?

Ha goeie! Ik ben een jongen van 28 jaar uit Leeuwarden en ik zou graag weer in een bandje willen spelen! Ik speel zelf de drums. Op de eerste plaats wil ik het liefst gewoon weer in een bandje zitten, dus ik sta eerlijk gezegd voor alles open: zowel eigen muziek als covers, zowel lekker jammen als ambitie om op te treden, zowel Engels als Nederlands (Frysk mei fansels ek) qua mzuiekstijlen zitten mijn interesses in (alt/prog)rock, punk, new-wave en metal. Kortom, genoeg raakvlakken! Mijn favoriete bands zijn Muse, Royal Blood, The Clash, Sabaton, Blind Guardian en Nothing But Thieves.

Uiteraard minimaal op zoek naar een gitarist en bassist, en iemand die kan zingen (mochten de gitarist en bassist dat niet kunnen ;). M/V/X maakt me niet uit! Maar eerlijk gezegd is elk instrument even geweldig, de gekste combinaties maken de vetste muziek!

Laat me weten in de reacties of je ook graag een bandje wil starten!

It won’t be a very big tattoo, but it will have quite a lot of detail and, most importantly, it means so much to me, so I really want to find the right artist for it.

​I am a 6-foot-tall guy, and I just found a really great deal on a Gazelle in my size. The only catch is that it is a "damesfiets".

​In my home country, bicycle frames are pretty strictly gendered, and it would definitely turn some heads or get some laughs if a guy rode a women's bike. However, looking at how people commute here, that low step-through design seems incredibly practical for riding around the city, carrying things, and constantly stopping at intersections.

​Before I buy it, I wanted to ask about the cultural norm. Will I get weird looks or be mocked for riding a damesfiets as a man, or is it completely normal and accepted in the Netherlands?

Binnenkort ga ik misschien in Bilgaard wonen. Nu lees ik online veel negatieve verhalen over de wijk. Zo zijn er vorig jaar twee mensen neergestoken.

Dat geeft me eerlijk gezegd niet echt een geruststellend gevoel. 😂 Helaas is er door de huidige woningkrapte niet bepaald veel keuze en zit er niets anders op.

Daarom ben ik benieuwd naar de ervaringen van mensen die er wonen of hebben gewoond. Is Bilgaard echt zo onveilig als sommige verhalen doen vermoeden? Kan ik daar 's avonds bijvoorbeeld gewoon over straat zonder me constant zorgen te hoeven maken dat er iets gebeurt?
