Greece UK based company not refunding me for order that hasn't arrived since May. What are my options here?

In late May I ordered a product online from the UK to be shipped to Greece. Product was priced at around 30 euros plus 25 shipping cost to be shipped by international first class mail. I received a confirmation e-mail.

Ten days later I reached out via email and inquired about the estimated delivery time. Customer support told me that due to availability issues, they are going to ship it out within the week. Around 5 days latter I received a confirmation e-mail that gave me a tracking number through Royal Mail. I checked and the package was in transit. I checked again 4 days latter and the package was marked as delivered the previous day. I reached out to the company again and they basically told me that international first class orders do not have tracking numbers and that one was provided by mistake and that my order will arrive through regular mail.

Fast forward two weeks prior to this post, I send them an e-mail and basically told them that the order hasn't yet been delivered and that I require the product and a reasonable explanation or a full refund. Customer support agent replied by giving me the same tracking number as before, basically claiming that my order has been delivered. I replied that as per our prior communication, this tracking number isn't supposed to reflect the order status and told them to refund them.

Since then, they haven't replied or refunded me. What are my options here?

Sweden Title: Former employer handled my tax paperwork incorrectly — now I have a debt with Skatteverket/Kronofogden. What are my options?

Hi, I’m looking for advice regarding a situation with a former employer in Sweden.
I worked for a small company for around 3–4 years. The owner was someone I personally trusted, so I relied on him to handle the necessary tax/payroll paperwork correctly.
Each year, when the annual income information was reported, the amount shown as having been paid to me was 0 SEK, even though I had actually worked and received money from the company. I was told that this was normal and that I didn’t need to worry about it.
Some time later, I received a request from Skatteverket regarding money/taxes that they said I owed. I contacted the owner immediately, and he told me that he would take care of it and resolve the issue.
However, instead of resolving it, he stopped properly communicating with me. I was repeatedly left with the impression that it was being handled and that everything would be fixed. After approximately 2–3 months, the matter ended up with Kronofogden, and I now have a debt registered there.
I trusted this person and relied on him to handle the reporting correctly, so I’m trying to understand what my options are now.
My questions are:
Could my former employer/owner potentially be legally responsible for this?
Is there anything I can do to challenge the debt or the underlying tax decision?
Should I contact a lawyer, Skatteverket, Kronofogden, or someone else first?
Is there a specific type of Swedish lawyer I should look for?
I have documentation/messages that may show what the owner told me and how he handled the situation.
I’d really appreciate advice from anyone familiar with Swedish employment/tax law or who has experienced something similar.

Italy Hit by a car in Italy, fractured skull and brain bleed

Hi, I am here on behalf of my sister in law who was hit by a car in Palermo last night. I am happy to say that she is stable and alert with relatively minor injuries in relation to how bad it could have been.

She was riding an e-scooter without a helmet across a pedestrian/zebra crossing when she was struck by a car. She doesn’t have travel insurance. It was approximately 2230. Police report taken, records will be requested. Medical documentation will all be requested. Expenses and flight/hotel cancellations/rearrangements will have records kept. Driver identified and insurance details provided.

I will be the first to call her an idiot for not wearing helmet(particularly when actually required), not having insurance, and not being extra vigilant crossing roads in a foreign environment she’s not used to. But, ultimately she was struck on a pedestrian crossing by a driver who did not slow anywhere nearly enough if at all and so I think it’s fair to assume he would be at least more liable.

My question is can anyone give pointers on where to begin if a claim becomes necessary which appears likely.

Germany Attacked in Gronau Germany - What to do now?

Last Saturday, my younger brother (16M) and I (18M) visited Gronau, Germany from the Netherlands. During our visit, we went to the city park zoo. On our way back, something happened that we would like some legal advice about.

As we were walking past a house, I saw a naked man standing on a balcony. I said to my brother, “Look.” At that moment, my brother was recording a video of himself on his phone. The man apparently thought that we were recording him and immediately started swearing at us.

He then threw a branch and, afterwards, a stone at us from his balcony. Fortunately, neither of us was hit, so we continued walking.

Less than two minutes later, the same man came after us. He took my brother’s phone and started shouting and swearing at us, demanding that we delete the video. We tried to explain to him that there was no video of him, but he would not listen.

He then pushed my brother to the ground and hit him twice on the head.

I pushed the man away from my brother. At that point, he still had my brother’s phone. I started calling the police. While I was on the phone with the police, the man also hit me on the head. My glasses fell to the ground, along with my phone.

My brother managed to get his phone back. When more people started gathering around, the man walked away.
A few minutes later, the police arrived. We explained what had happened and gave them our details. As far as we know, the police also received photos and videos from witnesses. They told us that they would contact us, but they did not tell us when.

Both my brother and I have injuries. In addition, the back of my phone was damaged.

Our questions are:
By explaining everything to the police when they arrived, have we already officially reported the incident, or do we need to file a separate criminal complaint?

How does this normally work in Germany? Is the police likely to investigate this further?

As victims, can we claim compensation for the damage to my phone and any other losses or expenses?

Is there anything we should do ourselves now to make sure that the evidence is properly documented and considered?

Should we have our injuries examined by a doctor so that they are officially documented?

Since we live in the Netherlands and the incident
happened in Germany, how does this work in practice?

Do we need to contact the German police or another German authority, or can we handle this from the Netherlands?

We do not have the names or contact details of the witnesses ourselves, but as far as we know, the police received photos and videos from some of the witnesses.

Thank you in advance for any advice.

Comments Moderated Dealing with a hostile, alcoholic neighbour in rural Sweden

Last year I posted on r/Sweden about our alcoholic neighbour. The vast majority advised me to go to the police, but that’s not a step I take lightly. I’ve now finally gotten to the point where I want to file a police report, but hubs doesn’t agree. He thinks things aren’t severe enough. Can you please advise us?

Original post: https://www.reddit.com/r/sweden/comments/1lp4eh4/alcoholic_neighbour/

Update then - now:

In July 2025, we attempted to resolve the situation locally by reaching out to the chairman and former chairman of the association where both I, hubs and our neighbour volunteer. The chairmen agreed his behaviour was unacceptable and held a stern meeting with him.

Our neighbour promised the chairmen that he would stop, but subsequently called us very angrily on the phone and shouted at us. Still, things were quiet for a short while, but then the harassments resumed.

Whenever anyone steps outside into our garden, he instantly starts making noise (power tools, hammering, loud radio) to let us know that he is watching us.

After we installed privacy screening along our fence, he began cutting down trees and bushes on the property line specifically to regain a better line of sight into our garden.

He has started leaving passive-aggressive comments on the association’s FB posts and emails.I have blocked him on my personal FB account, but I do emails and social media posts for the association, and our neighbour knows that. So he’s now placing passive-aggressive comments there.

His driving continues to worry us. He lives about 30-40 meters from our house, and when he drives home he has to cross a bridge that’s in a sharp bend, and then pass by our house. He almost always accelerates aggressively as soon as he’s on the bridge, passing our house at full speed and then needing to slam on his brakes to be able to stop at his house.

December, we were walking the dogs (y’know, Swedish winter so all almost unrecognizably wrapped in). When he saw that there were people on the road he slowed down to almost a halt. Until he saw that it was us, and he then floored the accelerator and drove by so fast his trailer rattled.

Thing is, we don’t know if he’s drunk when he drives like that. He could be doing this ‘just’ to harass us. Which is bad enough. But the thought that he could be drunk and some day decide to do even more stupid stuff while in his car is horrifying.

Meanwhile, when he thinks we aren’t home, he drives past excessively slowly while peering directly into our house/garden.

This whole situation has impacted our daily lives/well-being. It causes constant anxiety/stress, even nightmares. I am mostly staying indoors, not enjoying our garden anymore. I no longer feel safe walking along our gravel road.

I have a small business at home: a sensory garden aimed mainly at people with intellectual disabilities. Due to personal reasons, I am having a break during 2026. The idea was to reopen in 2027.

But honestly? I don’t see it happening. A lot of work needs to be done in the garden before reopening. He will constantly be letting me know that he sees me. And then, when I’m open again, his actions might cause my visitors to feel unsafe. A lot of them are stimuli sensitive. Our neighbour is so set on being hostile and making our lives miserable that I don’t think he cares about my visitors.

Do we have any legal grounds to file a police report? Or do we need to wait until something worse happens?

Oh, I’m keeping a document where I write down everything that happens, put pics etc. Unfortunately, we have no proof on camera of his reckless driving.

One day, he accelerated hard on the bridge when my husband was by our roadside containers, speeding up further upon seeing him, before having to slam on his brakes to stop before his house. Our front door camera (at the side of the house) doesn’t show the bridge or front of our house and has no sound. On the footage he had already braked and the situation looks innocent.

We are not allowed to film the road specifically, so installing more cameras doesn’t seem to be an option.

I’m thinking of having my phone on standby to able to start recording in an instance so that I might feel safer going on walks on the gravel road. My mental health hasn’t been all that great and going on walks would really do me good, but right now the thought of possibly encountering him causes me stress. Any tips for that? Is there a way to have my (Android) phone start recording in the blink of an eye, without me having to fumble my way to its camera?

Any advice you might have will be much appreciated.

Norway I was recently in a car crash and the police are planning on investigating, but i have no idea what do to

I don't know if this is the right rub Reddit but in absolutely terrified on what to do right now. My mom recently informed me that the police called her regarding my accident as they want to know what happened and if there will be any charges pressed. I don't remember any of the incident except crossing the road then being on the ground, not being able to breathe. The rest felt like a dream and I'm not sure what was real or not. I've never been in contact with the police and to be honest they scare me. I'm scared if I suddenly remember if the accident was my fault or not. My mom also said that she will be with me since they legally can't interview me alone since I'm a minor, but I'm scared she will be disappointed in me Location: norway

Romania Non-EU student in Romania – can I have 2 part-time CIMs?

I’m a non-EU student in Romania with a temporary residence permit for studies.

I already have a part-time CIM with Employer A for 4 hours/day, 20 hours/week.

Employer B wants to hire me temporarily under another part-time CIM.

My question is simple:

Does the 6-hour/day limit for foreign students apply separately to each CIM, or cumulatively across all CIMs/employers?

In other words, can I legally have:

  • Employer A: 4h/day
  • Employer B: additional part-time hours
  • no schedule overlap

Or must the combined total across both employers stay under 6h/day?

Looking for anyone with experience with IGI, Romanian labour law, or non-EU student employment.

Ireland Irish telecom charging €957 early termination fee for a service they can't even provide in my new country — is this legal?

My wife and I had been living in Ireland for a few years. Around 9 months ago we signed a 2-year broadband and mobile contract with every genuine intention of staying long-term. Shortly after signing (around 4 months), I was unexpectedly made redundant. Taking into account our personal circumstances and where we were in life, we decided it was the right moment to permanently relocate to the Netherlands. The redundancy was unplanned — our decision to leave followed from it.

I want to be upfront about this because I know the timing looks suspicious. We did not sign this contract planning to leave. Life simply changed.

When we contacted our Irish provider to cancel our broadband and two mobile SIMs, we were quoted the following early termination fees:

Broadband: €670.58

SIM 1: €143.10

SIM 2: €143.10

Total: €956.78

This is the full remaining value of the 2-year contract, paid as a single upfront lump sum.

We explicitly asked for a waiver on the grounds that our provider has zero coverage in the Netherlands — confirmed in writing by their own agent during a live chat. The Netherlands does not appear anywhere on their coverage or roaming list. The request was escalated to a supervisor and formally refused.

It gets worse. The agent confirmed in writing that the fee is calculated without the discount originally applied when we signed. Their exact words: "This cost is calculated without discount. Since you have signed the contract, we have provided you the discount and if you wish to cancel within contract the fee will be calculated without discount." They are effectively using the cancellation to claw back the commercial discount they offered to attract us as customers.

Since we cannot use any of these services in the Netherlands and were not willing to pay €957 to exit a contract the provider itself cannot fulfil, we stopped paying. Our provider continues to bill us monthly for services they cannot deliver in our country of residence.

On top of that:

We requested a copy of our contract — never received after 10+ business days despite a confirmed delivery timeframe of 3-7 business days

Our customer portal access has been blocked (as we don't receive any authentication email to log in)

We are filing a formal complaint with ComReg under EU Directive 2018/1972, Article 105 — which requires early termination penalties to be proportionate and cannot apply when the provider itself is unable to fulfil the contract.

We also understand from research that telecom debts in Ireland are not reported to the CCR — Ireland's credit register only covers formal financial products like loans, mortgages and credit cards. Though we note that if a debt is sold to a collection agency and results in a court judgment, it could affect credit history through that route.

We have four specific questions for anyone who has been through something similar:

1 — Is there anything to lose by filing with ComReg?

The process is free, it places the debt in formal dispute status, and the worst case outcome appears to be simply that they don't rule in our favour — leaving us exactly where we are now. Are we missing something?

2 — What happens if ComReg does not rule in our favour?

Are we then immediately legally obligated to pay? Can the provider realistically pursue us internationally if we are no longer resident in Ireland? Has anyone been through a ComReg complaint that didn't go their way — and what actually happened next?

3 — Chances of judicialisation:

Realistically, what are the chances of this going to court? To pursue us legally in the Netherlands, a collection agency would need to buy the debt, hire a Dutch lawyer, and navigate the Dutch court system — likely costing more than the debt itself. We also have documented evidence of a formal dispute raised before leaving. Has anyone actually been taken to court over a telecom debt in Ireland — or had an Irish debt pursued internationally?

4 — Collection agency and discounted settlement:

Has anyone deliberately let a telecom debt be sold to a collection agency and then negotiated a settlement at a discount? We understand debts are typically sold at 30-40% below face value, meaning agencies often accept 50-60% of the original amount as full settlement. Is this realistic in Ireland? Did it work? And does a discounted settlement result in a genuinely clean resolution with no further consequences?

Any real experiences welcome

Poland Purchase of (apparently stolen) car in Poland, exported and registered in other EU country

Throwaway account.

situation in a nutshell, bought a ‘legit’ car in krakow, poland with all the papers (from a private party), everything checked out. Mechanical check and check at dealership checked out.

We signed a purchase agreement, stating the exact purchase amount, and the seller stating that this is a legit car, with no legal shortcomings.

fastforward, 6 months later after registering in new country (so went through checks from authorities), stopped on the highway, got the notice that i’m driving a stolen car. car impounded. Police now writing up the report. (apparently it was a cloned vin number or something, car stolen, got a fresh-not stolen vin number)

tried to contact the seller, changed his mobile phone number. Sent a friend to the address, apparently his parents live there. in the end they gave my friend the phone number of the seller, he didn’t want to meet immediately and expressed that he didn’t know it was a stolen vehicle.

Any advice on how to proceed? My plan now was, contact a polish lawyer through polish friends. Start a civil case, with as proof the signed agreement that the car should’ve been legit when sold (it was already stolen by then). And the police report/dossier with the conclusion that this is definitely a stolen car, traced back to its roots.

any tips, expectations on investment of legal fees and lead-times in poland? i want to claim back purchase amount + legal fees, at this point i don’t care about import/transport fees anymore. I also want to still give the seller the opportunity to just pay back purchase amount, and cut a deal, but the chances of that happening are very slim.

thank you in advance.

Germany I invested money and now I'm in debt

Location: Germany

I'm a 29 male from Germany.

A few weeks ago I invested about 10000€ in a trading website called "greyqore".

When I wanted to withdraw some of the earned money they asked for a tax payment fee of around 6700usd which I paid. After that I tried to withdraw money again and now they say my account on which I wanted the money to be transferred isn't registered and I would have to deposit 5000$ from that account to have it registered.

Since I don't have that kind of money anymore,(personal credit and bank credit, as well as a bit of my saved money) they have told me I have 7 days or the entire amount on their website (earned and invested) will be donated to charity via a third party.

My question is if there is any way for me to get that money back or legal actions I can take?

I'm pretty much broke right now because of this.

Please help!

Germany Anyone successfully challenged a NACID rejection? 🇧🇬

Hi!
Has anyone here successfully appealed/challenged a NACID decision?
I was accepted to study Medicine at MU Plovdiv, but NACID rejected my German qualification because I don’t have the traditional Abitur.
I hold a Bachelor Professional / Staatlich geprüfte Betriebswirtin (EQF/DQR Level 6), which gives me university access in Germany.
Has anyone had a similar case with NACID, especially with a German or other EU qualification?
Any experience, lawyer recommendation, or contact would really help. Thank you!

Germany Parking ticket & flashed for speeding in Switzerland. What happens if I don’t pay?

I recently spent a few days in Switzerland and unfortunately managed to collect two fines during the trip 😅

- First, I got a CHF 40 parking ticket for parking incorrectly.
- Then, on the way back, I got flashed by a speed camera. The speed limit was 100 km/h and my speedometer showed around 111 km/h.

I live in Germany and was driving my own German-registered car.

I haven’t received the speeding ticket yet, so I don’t know what the actual recorded speed will be after the Swiss measurement tolerance is deducted.

My question:
- What actually happens if a German resident doesn’t pay a Swiss traffic fine?

Ireland Small claims court in Ireland

I'm a university student in Ireland but I have residency in Luxembourg. I have to come back home when the term is over and I have to use a storage service. This is the first time I've used something like this, so I'm not sure if this is big enough of a problem to go to small claims court or not.
This company picks up your boxes and stores them over the summer until you want them back. I kept looking at the tracking and everything seemed to be fine, but one of my boxes was not marked that it was in storage even when the rest of them were. I contacted customer service asking whether or not there was something wrong with my box. Pretty sure they were writing the replies with AI because in each response none of my questions were answered and they kept dismissing me. They lied about the whereabouts of my box and said it was lost in transit when I could clearly see that they had all arrived together at the same time. Absolutely no answers and were clearly ignoring my emails until i mentioned that I would escalate the situation if they did not respond to me within a given timeframe. They offered me a €100 compensation for a LARGE box which was definitely not the value of the contents inside. I said that I would prefer if they tried to actually find my box as €100 is still a loss for me.
It's been a couple months since then and it's finally time for me to get my boxes back and I had scheduled a day for them to arrive more than a week in advance. They email me today telling me that the service will have to be delayed for unknown reasons. My partner is also using their service and requested his boxes back at the same time as me and for the same day with absolutely no issue on his end.
What should I do? Do I just accept the situation as it is?

Austria Unlawful ticket for lack of vignette in Austria

Hello,

About 3 months ago I was on vacation in Italy for a week, driving through Austria coming in and out. I bought a 10day eVignette around München and I thought everything was ok.

Around 3 weeks ago, I got a message from Austrian toll service that I have to pay a 300 euro fine for lack of vignette and some time later a similar message came telling me to pay the same amount for my crossing of Austria on a way back from Italy.

Correspondence went through a company leasing the car, so the case was handled through them, but I could only provide them with time and place of purchase of the vignette along with proof of purchase from a bank as I paid by card. No physical vignette was issued to me and Austrian toll service does not allow checking vignettes after expiry in their archives. Yet somehow the lease company tracked down the clerk that handled my purchase and found out that he made error typying in my plate number (mistaking country code PL - Poland for PT - Portugal). They contacted the Austrian services, but they told them that they already passed/sold the case to a commercial vindicator and they regrettably cannot do anything about it.

Because time to pay the ticket is running out, the lease company suggested paying the tickets - 600 euro total.

Of course I would like to avoid that, it's a hefty fine and the mistake was not mine here, but I am not quite sure what to do.

Is there some Austrian or EU institution that could help me?

Edit: The company helping me was car leasing company not an insurer, sorry!

Comments Moderated Legal advice needed re Ex Wife (Russian) taking our children to Russia. Based in England

Some advice needed please. My ex wife and I have joint custody and both have Parental Rights. She is Russian and got her citizenship through our Marriage, both of our children were born in England but hold dual passports. She had an affair and we separated , she got pregnant to the affair partner and we've been divorced for approximately 6 years.

I expressly told her that I didn't want the children going to Russia although there is no court order in place. They flew to Estonia and took the train to Russia, she never informed me of their travel arrangements, I heard through my children 2 days before. This is a constant theme in which she decides what to do when the whim takes her.

Is there anything I can do to prevent this? I would rather not have to employ a solicitor as I simply can't afford it. Can apply for court action by myself? From what I have considered online this can be classed as child abduction?

My family, partner and friends were all extremely concerned that she could just do this without telling me and no notice of information given by ex Wife

I don't want to involve police and have her arrested, but I would appreciate any advice re what I should do in future, given the recent escalation of a Russian attack on the UK.

Many thanks in advance

EU-Wide Successful compensation claim against Condor but getting the €€€ is a nightmare.

Our return flight home was delayed by more than 7 hours and was over 6000 km., so under EU law, we are entitled to over 600€pp in compensation. I submitted a claim and constantly called until I got a response. They approved my claim and we provided our banking info as instructed and now crickets!!! Any ideas on how to get them to act when they don't respond to emails and customer service is abysmal?? Don't want to hire a lawyer who will take a chick just for writing a letter probably. I already did the hard work.

Portugal Visiting or staying in the UK, foreign criminal record issues

So i've read your entry to the UK could be refused due to having a criminal record even from another country if certain conditions are met, i live in Europe (Portugal) and wanted to visit the UK but the issue is i've looked around and can't really figure out if my entry would be denied due to criminal record issues

i only have one conviction and it happened just a bit over 10 years ago, it was a 6 month suspended sentence

so i wanted to know if anyone can clear up my doubts about this issue as from what i've researched i can't figure out if my conditions would mean i can't visit the UK or not, specifically England, or what i might need to do to get accepted

and what would be the difference if i planned on staying and not just visiting

Belgium Can I safely use a business name that is already used by a Canadian company?

Hi,

I'm planning to start a web development business in Belgium.

I found a short business name that I really like. Before launching, I did some research and discovered that a Canadian software company has been using the exact same name since around 2020.

Their business develops software, while my activity would initially be providing web design/development services to businesses in Belgium. (This might change later)

I searched the BOIP trademark register and TMview and could not find an identical trademark registered for this name in the Benelux or EU. I also searched for similar trademarks and haven't found anything that appears directly relevant to web/software services.

My main concern is financial risk. I haven't launched the business yet, so I can still choose another name if really needed.

My questions are:

  1. Could the Canadian company's prior use of the name give them rights against me in Belgium even without an EU/Benelux trademark?
  2. Since both businesses are broadly in the technology sector, could web development and software/apps be considered sufficiently similar to create a legal issue?
  3. Could I potentially be liable for damages simply for operating under the name, or would I normally first be asked to stop using/change the name?
  4. Is checking BOIP and TMview reasonably sufficient for a small business before choosing a name, or are there other important free searches I should perform?
  5. Given these circumstances, would using the name in Belgium generally be considered a significant legal risk?

I'm not looking for a guarantee, just trying to understand the realistic level of risk before I launch and invest in branding.

Thanks!

Malta Do I need to pay the lawyer and am I in fault?

Hi everyone,

Malta
For the first time I needed a legal assistance and I contacted several lawyer, the deadline to submit my appeal was yesterday Thursday.

Last Friday I had a consultation with a firm (every exchange happened via emails), early communication was already questionable since when I confirmed my availability for the consultation I never received a reply and I had to call directly the office to ask if I was suppose to go for the consultation or if anything happened and she used the excuse oh I replied you might have not received it(????)

While I'm very serious on this case, this lawyer spent half of the meeting yawning in my face (just the junior was interested and actively there)

After the end of the consultation I was asked to send a recap email and she stated that she would start to work on drafting 2 letters/email for the SAR and for the appeal. This was Friday 21/08.

I sent the email with all the info requested on Friday 21/08 around 4PM. This case involved another affected party which I referred to this firm and in Saturday he sent an email too asking for a consultation. From there nothing happened. Apart paying for the consultation on Friday I didn't sign anything.

When by Tuesday late morning, me and my friend(from his mailbox) have no received any sort of acknowledgment we decided to look for another lawyer who literally did everything in 1 day for both of us.

Wednesday evening 6.30PM (less than 24h from the end of the appeal) I got an email from the lawyer I had the consultation containing 2 drafts not yet signed which would even made it impossible to collect and deliver yesterday, in time.

Yesterday I had a busy day and I completely ignored her till in the evening I sent a reply saying that I was sorted.

Now she sent me 2 emails, 1 with a wrong invoice since she included already the consultation + 4 hours(HOURS) of work but in these 4 hours not even a whatsapp message simply saying I'll work on this was sent. The second one is her accusing me of breaching some sort of ethics.

I'm not looking for approval but genuinely understand if my expectation and actions were wrong and if this billing is normal (apart the obvious mistake or attempt to charge me again the consultation)

Thanks everyone

just a quick edit: in the consultation she said that her rate was 100euro/h hence the 4 hours I mentioned above and she said that a draft usually would take 2 hours.

France Parents charged for care arising from hospital's error

My parents live in France. Recently my mother had an operation. Although the operation went well, during the operation an infection was introduced into the wound, which led to my mother experiencing extreme pain and being readmitted to hospital 10 days later and treated for the infection and being told the infection had gone to her heart. The infection is now cleared and she is home again. But my parents are being billed for the second hospital stay, which was the fault of the hospital! Do they have any legal recourse for costs and damages? My mother is 79 and this error could have killed her.
