Southside commons

I want to live there next year what are the pros and cons a person ik said that only two of their outlets worked lol.

My senior year the option was $600 / month for off campus house or $1100 / month for Southside, I'm sure I'd be terrified to learn what it's like now

1300 southside, campus has maybe gone up depending where but mine’s 675 sooo

It’s expensive but a lot of people don’t know (unless the university stopped) Lehigh will cut you a check for the difference between SS prices and their highest dorm room and board cost. I lived there my senior year because it didn’t actually cost anymore than living on campus in an apartment since I got the check

Its hit or miss

One year I had a SS apartment with a dishwasher that kept breaking, an outlet that didnt work, and a shower that wouldnt get hot.

Then the next year I had a great one, everything worked and we had a top floor apartment overlooking Bethlehem

My kid lived there for two years, he graduated in May. SSC was super convenient and maintenance was responsive. The dishwasher kept breaking even though it was somewhat new, so they installed a new one and that solved the problem. I was worried about the many reviews that said the walls were thin and it was loud, but he never heard anyone in other apartments. The location can't be beat. Yes, it was more expensive than the other apartments in the area, but only slightly so once you figured in the cost of furniture, wifi, electric, having to pay rent over the summer, etc. that living in an off-campus apartment would entail. And after the dusty, buggy shit-hole Lehigh assigned him to live in his sophomore year, I was happy to pay for someplace nice.
