27
u/WildBad7298 6d ago edited 6d ago
You're 100% correct, he's running the country exactly like his businesses:
over-promise on everything (i.e., lie a lot)
cut corners everywhere,
steal anything that isn't nailed down,
grab a crowbar and steal everything that is nailed down,
cook the books to hide everything,
leave everyone else with the bill while the project crashes and burns,
declare it a huge success while simultaneously blaming everyone else for any failure,
move on to the next grift.
The DC reflecting pool is a textbook example.

→ More replies (7)6
u/PracticalPersonality 6d ago
Human rights are not “politics”.
They are, though.
They definitely shouldn't be, but we have two very different political problems happening in our world right now.
The first, and the one we're not really ready to talk about yet, is the fact that there are several human rights that we don't even recognize in our most complex debates as rights at all. The rights to food, water, shelter, dignity, security, and so many more are not simply denied to people worldwide, they aren't even serious topics of debate.
The second, and currently more socially visible political problem, is that we actually use the word "rights" when having a debate about whether people in first-world nations are allowed to exist as themselves. "Trans rights" and "women's rights" and even "voting rights" are current topics of conversation, which means that everyone in the debate recognizes that the rights being debated exist, but one side refuses to acknowledge that our governments should recognize and respect those rights.
In the same vein as responding to someone who "doesn't do politics" with the statement "well politics will certainly do you," it's important to recognize that human rights worldwide are absolutely political, because recognizing that problem is the first step toward eliminating it. You have to get political to ensure that human rights are respected.
/rant that I'm sure you understood and didn't ask for.

It's never been about "differences of opinion" for them. It was about indulging their worst impulses regarding race, gender, and anyone who is different. Hate in general. They've just never had the guts to come out and say it. They're cowards.
I'm sorry for all the non-MAGA folks who are suffering at the hands of these assholes, but seeing these people getting their faces eaten by the leopard they've happily fed all this time gives me some real satisfaction...

This and when they say stuff like "why can't we be cool" it always happens after they lose political power.
Just shuffle their evil and pretend it never happened, only now it is so overt it is unforgivable by large masses of the country.
If anyone watched Frieren, their fascist mentality is the same as demons.
"Why can't we be cool" = they are no longer in position of power and hope you do not seek justice, and try to make accountability look unreasonable
"Fiscal responsibility is why we can't have nice things" = stop talking and surrender to the rich like I have, I gave up and you should too.
"Family values" = I only care about mine, it is a way to use my children and family well being to get you to stop talking about this by pretending I am normal instead of irrationally demanding everyone live like me
Everyone who has ever wondered why they abandon their beliefs so quickly, or ask if they ever had them, the answer is no.
Those phrases have no meaning other than to get you to stop talking because it threatens them.
Fiscal responsibility? Lmao, 1 million jobs vs 50 million in same time span over last half century.
Family values? Yeah thats why you starve them to death by cutting safety nets
Why can't we be cool?
Because we know they are fake as fuck, and vote for evil shit while lying. Either north korean knowingly or unknowingly with the level of delusional loyalty to an objectively evil party that actively enables shit that kills all of us, and makes life worse for everyone except like 9000 rich families.

I just watched a 20-minute Perfect Union segment about the plight of cattle ranchers. They are effectively being strangled by the meat packers (4 companies that essentially function as a monopolistic bottleneck for American beef) forcing beef prices up WHILE suppressing cattle prices.
I was really starting to feel for these cattle farmers. Then, at the very end, they showed how the cattle farmers were banding together to demand anti-trust enforcement to "break up" that meat-packer oligopoly.
There is an almost zero-percent chance that they supported the anti-trust Lina Khan, who brought back enforcement under the Biden administration. They voted for the corrupt con-artist and his party that ALWAYS promises to deregulate big business.
They voted for not only our destruction, but their own. And now they want our help.

It's one thing to be tricked the first time, but it's another thing to be belled out, rebuke and crap on the side that bailed you but then to just vote for the guy again that caused you this pain in order to needed to be bailed out the first time.
So if it's "crazy" to ask who you voted for to see of you caused your own pain, then why don't just ask the very same side you voted for to buy your meat and or bail you out?

They can’t see the connection and would rather be vile bigots and vote for one and not see that they keep shooting themselves in the foot and bank account. Voting is an emotional thing, they set aside their own best interests to vote for someone who wouldn’t shake their hand or break bread w them. Their hate displaces their own interests…dumbfucks

The trump people are always so loud and proud until they want something from you and you ask how they voted. Suddenly it “doesn’t matter” who anyone voted for. It’s so consistent. they know they fucked up but are too scared to admit it out loud.

As a farmer I support this. I proudly vote blue. You notice how the left has no problem telling you who they voted for, meanwhile the right does exactly what the guy in this post did. Which clearly tells you that they voted for the narcissistic dumbass.

If you want to sell your own beef don’t use a 4 Letter acronym. That not going to help your case any. Marketing 101!!

To be fair, the cattle industry was having issues before the Orange Dipshit. It has been having issues for over a decade.
But President Dumbshit made it infinitely worse. Because that's what he does. Creates a problem and fails miserably trying to solve it or takes an existing problem and literally shits the bed.

So you buy his unregulated meat and get to eat toxic waste and metals. Why would anyone want that?

Buy their farms and start small family farms. We don’t want screw worm which will come from uninspected foreign beef.

First question I would ask is "Do you know why you're in this situation?"
If the name "Trump" is not in the response, no help needed.
These farmers need to realize they are in this situation because of one person.

It used to be we could trust the FDA to look out for food safety. It's no longer clear this is the case.

Why should I go out of my way to support local farmers when local farmers have voted against themselves for every election I can remember? They vote against themselves and the USA while taking advatage of every subsidy and immigrant available to them.

All I'm saying is I can't stand people playing the victim when they created the situation to begin with. Just stop it and sleep in that bed you made
