Big difference between "Nobody warned me" and "I wouldn't listen".

39

u/AlreadyFifty 1d ago

In their defense, reading really isn’t one of their things…

25

u/hindus0ul 1d ago

Listening isn’t either

10

u/FunSignificance3034 1d ago

Because they know everything, just ask them.

5

u/ohgeeeezzZ 1d ago

Walking Googles

4

u/hindus0ul 1d ago

Ask them for details and examples and the … process happens but nothing comes from it

8

u/Firm-Advertising5396 Leopard Spotter 1d ago

But repeatedly voting republican is

4

u/hindus0ul 1d ago

Them dems are the real enemy… /s

1

u/Independent-Buyer827 1d ago

Respect yo presidint!

3

u/Firm-Advertising5396 Leopard Spotter 1d ago

5

u/Atomic_Gumby 1d ago

Especially when it comes to matters of consent.

3

u/Independent-Buyer827 1d ago

They listened, to Fox News.

u/1wrx2subarus 1d ago

Over 50% of American adults have a 6th Grade Reading Proficiency.

Source: PBS, Nightly News

2

u/FrecksAndBeans 1d ago

Proficiency is one thing. But that’s just reading the words. What about reading comprehension skills? I wonder what the percentage is for that. Anybody can sound out words like a five-year-old.

2

u/Misterarthuragain 1d ago

26% of Americans think the Sun revolves around the Earth.i

2

u/Farucci 19h ago

The 1/3 pound hamburger failed because people in America thought it was smaller than 1/4 pounder.

1

u/PeyredB 18h ago

I've heard that. Hadn't looked it up to verify if it was true, so I took the opportunity just now. Sure enough this one's true!

https://www.snopes.com/news/2022/06/17/third-pound-burger-fractions/

5

u/PeyredB 1d ago

Too true.

2

u/Kyrthis 1d ago

In their defense, this exact thing didn’t happen during the first term, requiring them to be bailed out.

1

u/Sharkwatcher314 21h ago

People were shouting it to their faces. I certainly was

9

u/Tinytommy55 1d ago

They were too busy worrying about how they could stick it to the Dems and libs to really think about the fact that they were going to stick it to themselves.

6

u/giveitarrest 1d ago

This is intentional. Dumb em down to to point they vote for you to take their farm away and give it to a corporation that also collects all the relief payments to offset the tariff damage

2

u/Any_Seaworthiness678 1d ago

It started with Reagan..dumbing down of America complete!

6

u/Chillguy3333 1d ago

You ain’t lying!!!

6

u/ihavetakenthebiscuit 1d ago

These people cannot be expected to listen to people, only they are allowed to talk and have opinions.

5

u/cmd_iii 1d ago

It is easier to tell people what they want to hear, than what they need to know.

4

u/PeyredB 1d ago

Which is why bad people win elections.

4

u/BrofessorFarnsworth 1d ago

and "I'll fucking do it again"

Fuck em

2

u/PeyredB 1d ago

Yup. You guys want it, you got it.

3

u/MaadMaanMaatt 1d ago

They specifically voted for this

2

u/PeyredB 1d ago

They did!

We warned them about the bad things that would result, and they went ahead and voted for it anyway.

2

u/Potential-Win8706 1d ago

Or wouldn’t read Project 2025

1

u/posthuman04 1d ago

The best they can hope for is they are being used as political drama. The GOP could run on reining in Trump by protecting the ranchers from him. It’s gonna be embarrassing if they don’t do this to save the midterms.

1

u/Bird2525 1d ago

Why would Biden do that?

1

u/ForgotToCarryTheOne 1d ago

Also, “Look at how they’re going to be hurt. Ha ha. Cry on, liberals. Watch what’s going to happen to you.”

46

u/trooftaller 1d ago

Honestly, I know we are tired but maybe taking the higher road and helping them will prevent them going down a darker road….naw, fuck em.

35

u/PeyredB 1d ago

Yeah, I'm sick of that too. We've tried, for years, to sympathize with them, try to understand and support policies that would help small farmers and ranchers. Their response? F$#@ YOU LIBTARDS!

For years.

I know I at least am sick of trying. They insisted on making this bed - let them lie on it.

13

u/geddysbass2112 1d ago

Yeah, i used to say take the high road and have integrity. Unfortunately the population voting for Trump have none so fuck them now.

10

u/PeyredB 1d ago

Yes, I was on board with going high when they go low, but it became very clear that that simply doesn't work with MAGAs, or Americans as a whole. They see that as a weakness. SMH

7

u/geddysbass2112 1d ago

They really do. There are no empaths among them.

7

u/Gdmf13 1d ago

Yup, I would love for the Dems to show any sort of a backbone and start calling people/ organizations out but unfortunately they appear to be a bunch of spineless cowards as well, as long as people are getting their pockets lined by foreign interests the American people are fucked. We’re playing into their hands, divide a society with petty differences and plunder everything they have.

7

u/geddysbass2112 1d ago

Yeah i get it. A bunch of harsh tweets ain't cutting it. Divide us and rob us blind. If the dems win the midterms, they better step it the fuck up or it will be game over.

8

u/Gdmf13 1d ago

Yup, personally, I think most of the elected dems in office now are already bought and paid for. It really is a shame. It’s class warfare masquerading as white folks against people of color, dividing the country while the top 1% fill their pockets, hopefully the American public will realize this and vote for change before our voting rights are completely stripped, which is what is happening right now.

6

u/geddysbass2112 1d ago

I agree. Other than the progressives, alot of the dems are bought. It is a shame. America is really great again. /s

3

u/Gdmf13 1d ago

My comment was an over simplification of what is happening, there is also systemic racism trying to disenfranchise people of color of their rights, wether it’s underfunded education or just straight up catering to the lowest common denominator via social media, which brings out the worst in people.

3

u/geddysbass2112 1d ago

I'm right there with you.

11

u/Bobsmith38594 1d ago

They brought this on everyone. I am not sympathetic to them in the least. I never agreed with this idea that liberals, leftists, Democrats, and everyone else skeptical of Trump had an obligation to “understand” MAGA voters and coddle them. Let them have the day they voted for.

12

u/Gdmf13 1d ago

Yup, it time they find out about the find out part.

7

u/LumpyCapital 1d ago

I was so ready to downvote you after reading the first 15 words of your comment....

22

u/gumheaded1 1d ago

It’s only ok when he hurts other people

13

u/BoraBoraDorf 1d ago

There it is.

“He’s hurting the wrong people…”

Selfish fucking twats.

21

u/ComradeGlizzy 1d ago

Girl, we told you….

19

u/Dramatic_Art_5479 1d ago

These idiots will vote again for Trump.

10

u/PrincipleNo3966 1d ago

"He's a gud bizness man, hyuk"

5

u/podman131 1d ago

"He's hurting the libs by making their fancy steaks cost more....I'm willing to lose my farm over that and will vote for him again as long as he's hurtin' the libs"

16

u/rayrayrayrayray5 1d ago

Remember at the start of this term? The farmers losing illegals for slave labor?

Remember the soy beam farmer's being fucked next?

8

u/poodlescaboodles 1d ago

Also wasnt all that soy going to china?

4

u/Chickabbbbb 1d ago

Yes, and China bought it elsewhere.

9

u/LogGreen3800 1d ago

Case in point, The number of people who have been impacted by him and his administration to the COVID PANDEMIC. People lost their lives, families lost their relatives and not a small number, but No One even cares, having to attend a funeral virtually, there elderly, middle aged, young adults, teenagers, children who are no longer here due to his actions or lack thereof. But some of those same people who lost their family members voted for him, just like the farmers did after what he did previously

3

u/geddysbass2112 1d ago

I know a woman who's boyfriend died from covid, wasn't vaccinated, and she still bitching about dems and "the jab". Then I see her post how she misses him years later and I bite my tongue. But I feel like telling her he'd be here still if you weren't fucking ignorant. I finally muted her. Old family friend that was a sweet person I thought but it just is head scratching.

5

u/Aware-Tailor7117 1d ago

It’s the, ‘I though we were the exception’ attitude. Funny when it happens to someone else, not so much when it happens to you. FAFO

6

u/Z_e_e_e_G 1d ago

Womp fuckin’ womp

8

u/Outrageous-Tear-8968 1d ago

I know, right. If only there had been signs that Trump is a liar, a cheat and a fraud.

13

u/Adis_Gruntledfatty 1d ago

They will vote for Trump again like mindless animals with no ability to self regulate their own emotions, so a conman does it for them with ease. Sure they are mad now and saying this, but that will change.

All it takes is a few racist dog whistles like, They're eating the cats and dogs! And presto.

Like a child schooling fish into his net with a big scary stick, Trump will get all their votes again.

3

u/personthatssorandom 1d ago

They're eating the dogs and cats isn't a dogwhistle. It's a foghorn.

7

u/Burner_Phone_1969_TX 1d ago

lol rejoice and give thee land to Jd Vance wee lads voted for this, now thy karma has come upon ye!

6

u/Rocket-Glide 1d ago

I hate these idiots with every fiber of my being.

4

u/TheYellowFringe 1d ago

They're gaslighting themselves.

They knew the risks and yet they voted and voted again.

4

u/DarkSock52 1d ago

My opinion on the matter – just hear me out, now – is "fuck these idiots".

6

u/Potential-Win8706 1d ago

Welfare queens demanding socialism while others can pound sand up their asses. Fuck. Them. Into. Oblivion. 🤬🤬🤬

6

u/gueroarias 1d ago

"working with him once again"?!?!

They had to get bailed out in his last administration, too. GD these people suck

4

u/letstrythatagain-_- 1d ago

And they will vote the same way again.

5

Dammit! I dropped my violin…can someone lend me an electron microscope?

4

u/Aromatic_Doctor_2243 1d ago

the sad thing is, my mom is dumb enough to buy it and eat it because "Trump wouldn't do anything to hurt me, he loves this country!"

4

u/poodlescaboodles 1d ago

He literally said "I just grab them by the pussy" and he was elected again

4

u/zoebud2011 1d ago

We warned them over and over and over again. We were screaming from the roof tops. We were laughed at, called library's and told We were mentally ill. Fuck the high road. I hope they all end up homeless and starving in the streets.

4

u/31LIVEEVIL13 1d ago

boycott beef now, before you get some horrific parasite embedded in your brain and then you end up like rfk jr.

3

u/Drippy_topper 1d ago

Don't crawl into bed with trump and be surprised when he grabs you by the man pussy.

4

u/JunketInfamous2697 1d ago

Remember when homeowners were getting foreclosed on and the Pubbies kept saying, "well they should never have been approved for a loan in the first place..." well, I guess these cattle farmers should never have been given loans if they aren't responsible farm owners

4

u/Due_Aside4863 1d ago

I grew up on a cattle farm and my mom recently told me she had no choice but to vote for Trump because “Kamala hated America.”

She was dead serious.

7

u/unclewonderful 1d ago

Sounds like your mom isn’t all that bright.

5

u/Due_Aside4863 1d ago

She used to be. But now? No.

4

u/FrecksAndBeans 1d ago

Y’all should put on your listening caps instead of your red hats.

5

u/Vaginalover68 1d ago

Fauck yoooooooo ! Not only were you warned, you experienced it once already.

3

u/Weary_Incident7058 1d ago

You voted for trump

4

u/Western-Evening-8113 1d ago

You can't own the libs and your ranch at the same time, you chose one. Enjoy the consequences of you stupid choices.

3

u/Franknbeanstoo 1d ago

No, you just wouldn’t listen. You are wrong!

3

u/Antique-Music-3119 1d ago

"Whoever could have foreseen this obvious and inevitable betrayal"

3

u/Fjordikus 1d ago

Because you refuse to listen to the people who actually build the software and programs you use to calculate your costs and eleveate your business’s on a mass scale.

You called us woke and we tried to warn you, you just didn’t listen.

Anybody with any sort of brain could have told you he was a narcissist that cares about no one but himself. It’s not our fault you misjudged the level of narcissist he could be

3

u/Limp-Option-5558 1d ago

Lots of folks warned them; they just opted not to listen. Willful ignorance will not protect anyone.

3

u/rapscallion1956 1d ago

2

u/Popular-Okra-5658 1d ago

When are people going to realize that politicians don’t grow food or raise it? Republican farmers don’t vote democrat for reasons that have nothing to do with farming..but in today’s society, everything has to be made political so you can point across the isle and call someone a dumbass to make yourself feel good

Perhaps a good reason to eat less beef anyway

1

u/FunSignificance3034 1d ago

And the screw worms.

2

u/loughcash 1d ago

This was probably the first innings of a deal he made with china to get these ranchers to sell at some point in the future- china is buying America.
Brush up on your mandarin folks.

2

u/Organic_Mechanic_702 1d ago

Maybe they should have LISTENED...

2

u/Chickabbbbb 1d ago

If only there were an entire document outlining this very thing... wait, there was.

It's all part off project 2025. Squeeze the little farm until they file for bankruptcy, then the corporate conglomerates buy them up.

I'm purposely linking an article from 2024 that explains this, to prove this information was out there before the farmers voted for Trump: https://www.americanprogress.org/article/project-2025s-plan-to-gut-checks-and-balances-harms-rural-america/

2

u/CLOWNFLOGGER 1d ago

Pasta with a fresh tomato and basil sauce is amazing and requires zero beef. Fuck these idiots.

2

u/RedParaglider 1d ago

Also the NCBA fluffing Trump, and blaming Biden for drought prices.

“Congratulations to President-Elect Trump for his historic victory last night and for running such a hard-fought campaign. NCBA is excited to work with the President-Elect to undo the harm which cattle producers have endured under four years of “Bidenomics” and restore the free-market principles which have made U.S. cattle and beef the finest and safest in the world.” said NCBA Vice President of Government Affairs Ethan Lane. “Despite cattle prices soaring to record highs over the previous years, producers have been squeezed by exceptionally high input costs, record inflation, and the Biden Administration’s so-called competition agenda. This is the perfect opportunity to execute a hard reset on all of these failed policies.”

2

u/Orpdapi 1d ago

This is the power of propaganda in a closed environment. This is how churches have operated for generations in small towns, and republicans politics just copied that model. Inundate small town uneducated folks with propaganda about values and how the outside world is scary, evil, and immoral, then sweep in to be the savior with all the answers. The people living in isolation are less likely to venture out into to the bigger world to fact check any of it with their own eyes and ears.

2

u/Slight_Target1878 1d ago

But in MagRat Texas they say, "Let's all buy the same Cowboy hat and brain, then follow Paxton over that cliff!"

No true independent Texan ever followed a Boss Hog to the bottom!

Hey, MagRats O' Texas - how does Sean Hannity of Fox News own 870 single family residences and still some dumbass FOX Bot -Fleshbag says, "Duh, he's all "small town" that Sean."

I am betting that moral sh*t pit Paxton would file all those houses as his primary residence (870). ...After letting go pedos of course. F-ing disgrace!!

These dinguses were all "fuck your feelings" a while ago. But now their bottom line is impacted and all of a sudden it's, "this was never about red vs blue!" You fucked around at a level of 10, you're gonna find out at a level of 10.

2

u/Significant_Cover_48 1d ago

When the media are bringing stories for literal months about the horrible quality of the output from US agriculture, and the government is not running defence, that means it placed there on purpose and foreign imports are about the hit the shelves. These people are playing the violin in a game of fiddlesticks.

I really can't feel sorry for Americans. They live in a capitalist society and are illiterate when it comes to reading the signs. They are like hunter-gatherers who don't even register the footprints in the mud.
