I honestly am asking -- is this an actual increase in the amount of recalls because of contaminants, or is it just that we are all actually paying attention to the recalls more closely now because of the huge outbreak from Taylor Farms earlier this summer?

Actual increase I think. Since our government did away with food & drug inspections, companies know they can get by with cutting every corner.

Trump cut the CDC, FDA, USDA, (and many other federal agencies), our scientists that work with our food - he’s gutted everything. This all written in project 2025 and he hired the authors into the White House. Find sources of information you can trust and please start informing yourself. Reddit is a news aggregator and has more information than you will find on other sources. It will get worse.
