Hi all,

I am hoping to my own oil change on my 2014 RCF, Japanese import.
Just curious to see which oil would you recommend. I saw heaps of YouTube channels using Mobil 1 5W30. I am also thinking OEM Toyota oil 5W30. Do you guys think it will make a difference to engine longevity or performance?
I don’t intend to track the car and the car is driven daily.
I currently have just over 20000km on it.

Thanks in advance.

Toyota oil is made by Mobil 1, so just buy 5W30 from Mobil 1 at any store cus it's cheaper than at the dealer and buy the OEM filter at Lexus and you're set.

Was using Mobile one for a bit then switched to Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W-30. Change it every 5k and no issues.

Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W-30 is my go to for my RCF. Virtually 0 impurities since it’s GTL derived. It’s one of the most advanced formulations for high performance engines.

The brand of oil won’t make any noticeable difference in performance. When it comes to longevity, the frequency of oil changes matters more than the brand of oil used (although, some specific additive packages slightly clean or protect more than others)

I’d recommend doing 5,000km oil change intervals just to keep the 2UR-GSE flawless

Production year 14 maybe. Model year starts at 15 I’m pretty sure

I like valvoline restore and protect bc I’ve seen how good it is in other videos. If I was willing to pay more I’d use amsoil if I didn’t want to pay as much I’d use Penzoil ultra platinum
