[NF] A walk

I was walking today - I live in a hilly area. Uphill. Downhill. Uphill. Downhill. Flat. Downhill. An old plump man in his sixties, kind face, with rectangular glasses, was about to get into his car. He gave me a thumbs up - with a gentle smile. I took off one of my earphones anticipating a greeting. He  proceeds to ask me if I'm walking for as a kind of sport. I said yes. He said that's great and encouraged me to do more. As I was about to take off. He seconded with another question. What music are you listening to - Arabic or English? I was listening to playlist called Sonic Journeys. How could I explain this. I told him a mix of everything really. He wanted more and asked such as? I told him classical, rock, reggae.. he excitedly told me he's started listening to Spanish music recently and has absolutely fell in love with it. With phone in hand, I asked him to recommend a song. He said just search for "AI Spanish music mix". I interrupted him - not in a rude way - and said I don't listen to AI music. I use AI everyday but have this strong aversion to AI music. Art should be made by humans. He's 30 years my senior. I always felt I've had a good intuition into people's temperaments. He ranked well. A gentle and kind soul. His mother passed away recently. I asked God to forgive and bless her soul. I wonder if we will ever meet again - but I'm sure we could be friends if such a future encounter presents itself.

I continued my walk...

Walking past houses, I wonder, what they their dream about.

I sat down and wrote some prose on my phone which I then accidentally deleted. Are those words gone forever? Where have they gone? I can recall most of it - but now it has been recycled, reframed and repurposed by my memory.

I talked about how much I love walking and the pleasurable sense of solititude it brings me. Especially early morning walks. Time pauses, space is infinite.

I also talked about the sun, let me see if I can recall the sentence:

"The sun brings warmth to the heart, it brings warmth to the skin, oh sun, big bright far star, your rays enveloping me, from outer space."

I think I prefer the one I wrote before - it's gone now. I wonder how much text was lost throughout history. I wonder how many people have walked the path I am walking now.

Oh yes, I also wrote about cats, birds, trees and Bach. And I wondered why Baroque music - especially Bach - resonate so much within me. I think it was my late grandfather.

I also wrote about the number nine - its shape, its significance and its strange symbolism which had been painted throughout my life.

I am about to arrive home. Walking is good. It stimulates something inside me. Many a brilliant ideas have been born through the act of walking. It's sad how people in this age have become so sedentary. I'm home now. Let's see what happens during the next walk
