Camping Q&A Portable shower?

I’m flying in so can’t take everything! How likely would it be that my crew of 3 would be able to use someone’s portable shower?

Or if anyone has any portable shower recommendations that are very compact?

Honestly I would pay for a shower, theyre $12 and Its SO nice to get a proper rinse in. I recommend using the trailer style showers vs the outdoor ones they provide because the water is hella cold in the semi trucks. On a hot day, a cold shower was the most heavenly reset. They also have mirrors and a sink area so you can do a whole shower, tooth brush, skin care routine. Totally worth it

Showering at camp is so much better imo.

You can get them on Amazon for 20 bucks and they’re super small when folded up. Water spouts everywhere to fill them up.

This. Plus buy a bucket or tub when you land to fill and leave in the sun al day.

I usually just hang it from my car, but I like your bucket idea!

Ohhh you ment those bladder bags? Those suck. Get the battery pump kind for $0-10 more and it will spray any angle with the bucket as the water source. Enough pressure without hanging it to rise conditioner out of long hair.

Can even use them to wash dishes like at home.

I’ve used them at the last three LIbs. Water is nice and hot and the sprayer seems to work fine. Maybe I’m just low maintenance. 😊🕺🏼👍🏼

I am too most of the time. Yet At 5 days fests I like a shower similar to my house. Also 10x easier to share with a bigger camp by just moving the pump to another bucket than refilling the bladder for every person. Some people have long thick hair as well

Just check Amazon for one. My friends had the few that I used, and they all were similar. Just make sure it’s rechargeable, instead of using D batteries.

Now we have a propane heated system for our camp. Hot showers for 2 people at a time even at 6am.

I bought one of those water sacks you leave in the sun… I didn’t know how hot the water gets and I almost burnt my skin off showering at camp 😂😂😂

The portable showers on Amazon are like 20 dollars and work great

Although I would recommend going one step up and buying the $25-30 shower.

The cheapest ones fall apart easily, or leak, or the hose can just pop right off. Ultra annoying, and quite deflating when you have hot water ready to go, and it just pours out because the spout fell off.

I fly to festivals often and ALWAYS bring my portable solar shower with me. These days I bring TWO solar shower bags in my suitcase, and each hold 4 or 5 gallons of water.

I also fly with several tapestries, along with spring clamps, velcro wraps, tie line, etc, and figure out how to rig up a little shower enclosure anywhere I am.

This can be from a fence, tree, car, tent, whatever.

I have a ridiculous, 10”, oversized carabiner I bought as a joke one time, but found it perfect to hang the solar shower bag from the little handle installed in the ceiling, by the window, just inside many car/truck doors, roll down the window, then hang the shower bag on the exterior, and roll the window back up part way to hold the shower bag. Works perfect for car camping!

…then have a friend hold up a tapestry to sheet to give you a few minutes of temporary privacy to wash your filthy bits!

Or not!

Either way, bringing your own solar shower bag makes you self sufficient, and clean!

No walking over to the shower trailer, no lines, no waiting in the sun, and it pays for itself by the second time you use it.
