⚠️ Spoilers for Link Click Season 3 + Opening/Ending + Final PVb⚠️

This is a theory I wrote after watching Season 3 in its entirety. It's VERY long, so thank you for reading all the way through

I can post it in Chinese if anyone wants.

1. Adult cheng xiaoshi in his childhood --

So in ep 1 of s3, many fans noticed that in one of the scenes where child LG is sitting with his baby photo awaiting child CXS, he hears something and stands up, turning around. There is someone standing there in the dark. LG seems disappointed (maybe he didn't see due to darkness) and turned back and sat down. Fans say that was adult CXS. I took a screenshot of that scene, turned up the brightness and exposure. It was someone wearing a mustard yellow shirt or something and the stature looked alot like CXS

1. the pv on YouTube -

   near the end of the pv, right before the song part began, we see flashes of some scenes. At exactly 0:53, we see a scene of adult CXS wearing the same mustard yellow jacket that he wore in the s3 ending "Zero". He's sitting in what looks like a rice field and he's crying. We only saw those fields in their childhood. Interesting? Here's more.

The dialogue in that scene is from ep 2 of s3. But the one BEFORE that says "why doesn't clapping work anymore" this must mean that his powers stopped working or he stayed past the 12 hour limit and is trapped in his childhood. And at 1:10 we see a scene of CXS in that same jacket holding a dark photo. Right after, he says "this is the only surveillance shot before the incident". Although the scene there is of xia fei taking the pic before he went missing, the dialogue implies that cheng found a photo of his and lu's childhood which is a cctv shot. And remember that CXS can only appear in his physical body when he goes into a surveillance shot. Otherwise he becomes the photographer.

1. Lu guang in the past?

Then a few scenes and the song starts. At 1:20, we also see adult LG wearing a long brown coat, standing on the tracks as the train approaches him.

Then immediately after we see the scene we saw in ep 1, where child CXS & LG run in opposite directions as the train approaches them. But this seems unrelated to adult LG standing there. It seems adult one happened later.

At 1:24, we see a scene of two hands high fiving. One of the hand's sleeves is visible. It's a mustard yellow one. It's definitely CXS!

1. Cheng xiao shi as Vein?

Then at 1:25 we see scenes where child li tianchen is fighting child vein. Here, Vein's eyes are yellow. And he panics and shoots a bullet. That's definitely something CXS would do if in a situation like that and the eyes prove its him.

1. Qiao ling?!

At 1:28 we see again the daytime scene of the train tracks. But this time, the train has gone and we see adult LG in that coat and ADULT QIAO LING with him! Like how's she there?! And it looks like she saved him from the train too.

1. Powers start failing (apparently)

From 1:33 the dialogues of CXS are "let me go back!" Implying he's trapped into a photo. At 1:35 we see a scene of CXS's hands in the rice field, it's sunset (maybe) and he claps his hands. Then we see LG in the time photo studio. It's night time and he's shouting as if telling CXS to come back.

At 1:36 or 1:37 we see him clap again.

• Overall observation —

CXS found a photo of the cctv footage of 2007 (this could be a thing done by liu xiao 's syndicate) and he shows it to LG and they both high five for him to go back there. Then 12 hours pass and then LG is screaming for CXS to come back. But it's past 12 hours and clapping isn't working. And also, from the scene of ep 1, it's highly likely that it was indeed CXS who was standing in the darkness when child LG turned around. LG and QL somehow find a way to go back too OR they visit those train tracks in present time with CXS not back yet. CXS must have also seen something tragic there. Idk.

And also, in the ending "Zero" of season 3, the entire ed is of CXS just standing as a background character and the scenes he's going through are of bridon arc and season 2. Its similar to the ed of season 2 or bridon arc (not sure which one) where LG is the bystander.

The biggest difference is that LG is all grey and CXS is in full color.

And then near the end of the song we see all the scenes just rewind with a glitch effect and then we see a scene of CXS in that same jacket. His eyes lighten up and then the last scene is of adult LG IN THAT SAME BROWN COAT and adult QL standing infront of that icy blue stuff.

And also, based on all the observations I wrote above, it's highly likely that CXS found out about his death and LG's struggles.

But honestly I completely forgot about baby Lu Guang turning around because he heard smth and it seems like it was CXS.... I wonder what his reaction will be after finding out all that Lu Guang has done? I think it'll be anger from what seems canon but my heart wants it to be a hug 😭 Lu Guangs been through too much, he's been crying every ep and just needs a hug ☹️

id like to read the post- could you please clarify if by the "entirety of S3" you mean upto ep 4 only or more? in case more episodes have been released for specific members or sth. i don't want any spoilers.
