Thoughts?

Post image

Any suggestions/thoughts on my Fedora 44 near-stock GNOME 50 setup? For reference, I've been using the following GNOME extensions:

Alphabetical App Grid,AppIndicator and KStatusNotifierItem Support , Blur My Shell, Caffeine, Clipboard Indicator, Dash-to-Dock, Emoji Copy, Just Perfection, and User Themes

I kept it near-stock and let the wallpaper decide the vibe simply because I wanted a stable system, that didn't need a whole weekend troubleshooting instead of actually using my system.

Any way I can make this better?

Looks pretty solid, man. I had a similar setup when I used to use gnome.

KDE! I initially went with gnome because it felt less overwhelming to someone switching from windows. After a few months, I reinstalled fedora and went with kde. Everything has been pretty smooth so far.

I've been using Fedora for quite some time with GNOME. Been a month with Fedora on this laptop, but I also had it installed on an ancient PC that I used to use, lol. I'm done with using Windows for good.

Given its mostly base Gnome with a few good extensions, very pretty

I don't use gnome but that's clean, basic and a little touched up vanilla looks like, hopefully feels nice as well

Depends what you mean by better, I use dash to panel and chromaleon (disable user themes if you do chromaleon) to get more out of my gnome
