I don't have a lot of time to do mod things bc of recent personal events in my life and mental health related stuff. If anyone is interested in moderating comments posts etc and coming up with ways to make this subreddit more engaging and populated please let me know here or DM me.
Qualifications preferred 1. Good moral compass. (i.e. be accepting of others, open minded, kind, etc ... basically don't be a dick)
Reddit experience.. Just know how to do stuff on here I guess
Little Mac experience - he should probably be your main. It's not rly ideal to have a mod who never touched the character or game lol

Even tho I've been a tournament-goer Mac main for a while now, I'm still struggling with a basic thing with Mac which is jab locking. I've been practicing but still can't get it consistently. Most of the time I'm not fast enough to run there and catch the "bounce" animation when they miss a tech. Also dair jablocking seems another problem. Does anyone have tips for this?

(Nah but I lowk cook with him)
Used to main him 4 years ago, but didn’t know I still got the sauce
I was destroying with him in matchmaking servers, but ya can’t really use that to express recent wins

I have been a little Mac main for a while now. I don’t play the game often but I had played enough in 2021 on the back end of Covid in high school that I was too good to play against any of my friends at the time. I would play randomly a few games every month or so and a few days ago I wanted to hit elite smash with Mac. I climbed pretty quickly and hit elite smash an hour ago. I had a scare where I lost two games in a row immediately but I got back in.
What should I expect? I’m currently at 14.8 mil.
I know the general strings I should be going for. I know the common confirms and relative percents just from trial and error. Any specific tips from those farther into elite smash?

I'm having trouble with this really good Diddy at my local weekly tournament, but I just keep losing to him and only him. I'm struggling against simple interactions just cuz of that banana and monkey flip. I just can't approach cuz everytime I do, my excessively long initial dash makes me go straight into one of those, can't shield cuz banana ain't reactable and if I do it preemptively I get monkey flipped, can't jump cuz I'm Mac. Also ledgetrapping is a bug problem, since he can just drop down double jump banana and completely flip and reverse the situation.
And also I just can't find information about the Pit matchup, which is another matchup I'm not too informed about
Any tips for these 2 matchups?

Hello, I am PHYTO-1; I have discovered and documented tons of little mac techs and concepts.
Here is my YouTube channel YouTube Channel
My videos are very minimal -- theyre like shitty PowerPoints. A lot of my content has been remade and covered by other people with better production value to little/no credit given- so many of you fellow little mac mains have probably been using techs I found/came up with - without even knowing who I am. I was using a shitty phone with a free-version video editing app to create the videos so the quality and length were limited to what my phone could handle. While the content was very cut and dry -- unappealing to the average viewer -- I tried my best to be packed with information and examples. However, I have since acquired hardware to better capture gameplay and record audio commentary for increased production quality.
For the past 5 years I have been stationed in South Korea-- so my free time was spent going out and enjoying the country I was in. Sadly, I have been reassigned back to the united states-- in a state I have already been to, so my freetime will mostly be staying home and as such, I have decided that I want to take the time recreate my older videos but with better production quality-- as well as cover topics that I have yet to make videos on.
Aside from recreating old videos, some new topics I have been wanting to cover are:
-Footstool punishes (not actually feasible in-game or worth doing in a match but it is something I have documented but never made a video on)
-Buffer boost KO Punches
Also, here is a discord channel I have where I have linked various excel sheets to document different techs on an individual character basis

Lost my Jolt Haymaker early into that edgeguard, so I had no option but to get a clip if I wanted to win, lol.

Hey everyone! I'm Steele and this is a pretty out of the blue moderator announcement.
The past few years we've all been a pretty inactive but recently I started binging some of yalls posts and replying to stuff as a trip down memory lane.
Just wanted to let yall know someone from the mod team is here and is doing some light upkeep in the meantime.
Maybe one of these days when we get a Smash 6 things will feel a little more lively but in the meantime, let's enjoy what we got.
Show em whatchu got Mac!

I have seen many videos (of peanut etc.) where down air propels you really high (like a short-hop) distance. When i flick the c-stick down, I feel like I fall instead. What am I doing wrong here? Am i holding the down for too long?
