I am NOT a locksmith. Little help.

Hello Fellas, New here.

I want to change the cilinder of my apartment door

I have find out that I need to get a mortise cilinder.

Is there a way to know what size I should get just by looking at these pictures.

No. You need to remove the CYLINDER in order to measure it and see what type of tailpiece/cam it requires.

If you can't get the old mortice cylinder out to measure it yourself how do you think you'll be accomplishing the next step of putting it in?

It's 1-1/8" on for a Marks 91/A 114A, etc. 7NY, 9NY... it depends on door Thickness, but in your Instance I can almost guarantee it's 1-1/8".
