I am a locksmith Help identifying this key profile

Hi lads I have a customer here with an imported American truck, it’s a 1950s Chevrolet apache and he wants a spare key done for it, I was hoping the Americans here could help me identify what blank I need, thanks.

Americans typically referred to them as Step Side

uhhh that ain’t no key from 1950 :) thats some aftermarket shit if it actually goes to it

Is this the sort of key you would expect to see with one of those trucks?

Yep

I think the first double sided was the a uhh Pontiac LeMans in the late mid/late 80’s

It definitely works, I was thinking it didn’t look like any of the blanks I was seeing while googling looking for the answer

The LeMans key and the Luv Truck were the first to utilize a double sided wafer lock in the 80’s

The B61 /X168 does look very similar

I just realised it looks pretty close to a hu46, I’d have some of those in my van so I might go out and try one of them
