Beginner in search of mindless projects?

Hi all,
I've just discovered the magic of loom knitting after being a needle knitter for years. The joy of the e wrap hat is pretty intoxicating. Given my penchant for no count, no think projects, what other recipes might I enjoy? Not to poo poo the gorgious things you'll are doing here, but I would like to keep it as simple and mindless as possible. Charity projects are especially interesting to me.

I’m on a 10-stitch blanket train, I just keep going and going. You can do it all afternoon and make considerable progress, or just do it a row or two at a time. It’s idiot proof, and easy to look at and not get lost on your project.

Oooh, Fascinating! I've never heard of a 10 stitch blanket. It looks kind of complicated. Do you know of any instructions or tutorials that helped you out before it became second nature for you to do?

This is the video where I learned how! I’m a beginner and everything she says is helpful the hardest part is the first turn, and learning to close the blanket.

Doing hats in the round or scarves are pretty mindless - especially scarves, you could just knit until you decide you're done. One thing to keep in mind, though, if you only do knit stitches on a scarf, the sides will curl up. If you're down to block it after you're done, or to alternate some purls on the edges, you can deal with it.

Can I recommend a double knit scarf? You need a long loom rather than a round one, but the wrapping process is really nice.

Anything with owl eye stitch lol. It doesn't curl unlike the e-wrap so you can just keep going and going! I'm making a big ol scarf with it right now, and my previous project was a blanket for a friend with it!

Came here to say this! I too am a mindless knitter! I have made 6 blankets in owl eye and it is completely idiot proof. You can’t even drop a stitch! There is no pattern to follow, it is beautiful on both sides, perfect! Also, check out Flexee looms for ease and comfort and portability.

There's no particularly hard project except for dresses or sweaters, I do recommend starting from a tube (so making beanies, scarves, gloves) if you're beginning you need to learn how to cast on and bind off

(3) Learn the Basic Stitches for Loom Knitting - Dish Cloths - YouTube by easy me world. this is the garter stitch, which requires purls. i like these dishcloths because they are an open, lacy knit, so they dry quickly. they are best made with 100% cotton yarn. :))

I make chunky loom knitted socks for winter. They are really quick and easy. Fab to wear on a cold day, pottering around at home.

This might be because it’s the only thing I know how to make and I’ve been doing it for 5-6 years but I could probably knit beanies in my sleep
