Double tapping to stop a loop is frustrating, can throw you off your timing and just ruin the joy of looping. So I found a solution!

Recently I got into looping and for now I'm using the built in 32 looper on my Boss GT1, and I've found a cool way to assign a "stop" function (cuase it doesn't have one).

When you turn on the tuner on the GT1, it also stops the looper. Now, the tuner has a 'through' option which keeps your guitar and preset with all the effects audible while tuning. So I assigned the tuner to one of the footswitches, and I set it on momentary mode. So every time I want to stop a loop, I tap the footswitch once, it activates the tuner for a split second stopping the loop. And because of the 'through' option, it doesn't mute my signal and everything is seamless.

This is how I have my Boss GT1 and FS7 set:

• UP + CTL1: Looper On/Off (also deletes loop)

• CTL1: Rec/Play/Dub

• UP Switch: Stop (Tuner Through)

• DOWN Switch: Preamp Solo Boost On/Off for leads (it's a preamp boost by Boss)

• FS-7 B: A/B switch (Clean/Dirty)

• FS-7 A: Additional effects like Modulation, Delay, Octave for "bass" tone, etc.

If I need longer loops or undo/redo functionality (or layering over a loop), I have Ditto looper as well.

Went to play my guitar this evening, turned on a saved loop that I like to jam over, and the drum beat was gone. This is a saved loop, so I recorded my loop over one of the preset drumbeats, then did another loop to add bass etc. I've played these back with drums dozens of times now, but every single memory slot that I've recorded into, the drumbeat has vanished. I tried recording a new loop over a drumbeat, played it back, and drums are there, no issues.

Any idea what has happened to my recorded drumbeats?

For ages, I’ve been searching through all the big, mainstream DAWs trying to find a workflow that actually works for me, but nothing ever felt right. LoopToGo completely changed that. Your software finally gave me the exact workflow I’ve been dreaming of for years.

I kid you not, I cried when it worked for the first time. No hyperbole, I cried tears of joy. Grown man, sobbing, that's what you did for me!

'Ableton is tweaked towards live performances'. Yeah right, tweaked towards pressing play live, that piece of....

'Bitwig is so mighty, it can do everything you could ever want!' Yup, except simply overdubbing or controlling any sort of audio clip satisfyingly. It breaks my heart as I really, really like Bitwig, but it's like a car where the manufacturer simply forgot to put in any sort of windows.

'Maschine 3 does what you want, basically' - yeah it does, but you cannot loop vocals or long takes that are longer than the momentarily playing scene, which makes it so cumbersome to actually do anything really impressive with it. And forgetting to preselect the right sound slot before using the sampler for a voice loop is pure agony.

Thank you so much for your dedication, your brilliant mind, and for creating exactly what the looping community needed, exactly what I needed. You rock! 🙌
