Help with my college project on Jimmy Choo - Luxury Consumer Survey

Hi everyone!

I'm currently working on a college project on Jimmy Choo as part of my coursework.

I've created a short Google Form to understand luxury buying behaviour. It's for people who consume/use luxury products & brands.

It will take only 2-3 minutes to fill.

Link to the form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfQZiyY_3uXD-JzuJQMsZ12fLURMQrPveFRtE7A7ExOL2-3ZA/viewform?usp=dialog

I need at least 100 responses, so if you could also share it with friends/family who are into luxury, I would be super grateful.

Thanks a lot for your help!

The Row India 10 vs India 12 – help me choose!

I’m trying to decide between The Row India 10 and India 12 and would really love to hear from anyone who actually owns either size (or has tried both).

I love the look and presence of the India 12, but I’m wondering whether it might be a little too large for my everyday needs. I normally only carry my phone, sunglasses, keys and wallet.

which size did you choose and why? Do you still love that size? If you’ve tried both, which would you buy again?

Anniversary trip to Paris in October

My husband and I will be traveling to Paris in late October for our anniversary and I have been looking at purchasing a SS Panthère mini at the flagship Cartier. Has anyone had an experience at that store or with the VAT for purchases like this? I am comparing the mini and the small size but leaning toward the mini.

At what point does a luxury destination actually stop being worth visiting?

Booked a client into the Maldives recently, one of those full overwater villa setups running close to $3,000 a night, and the feedback I got afterward was almost identical to what I hear from people who did the same trip five years ago at half the price. Beautiful, yes. Worth repeating, less clear.

The problem with certain destinations at the top end is that the experience has been so thoroughly optimized for the photo that the actual texture of being there gets flattened. Every interaction is smooth, every meal is competent, the sunset is technically perfect. And somehow it all lands with less weight than a less polished trip somewhere that still has some friction in it.

What I keep noticing is that the destinations generating the most genuine enthusiasm from clients are not always the most expensive ones. There is a tier of luxury travel that sells a concept, the Maldives, the Amalfi Coast, a safari in the Masai Mara, where the idea of the place has completely overtaken the experience of it. The brand of the destination carries more than the destination itself can deliver.

I do not think this is unique to travel, but it feels more acute there because you cannot return the trip.

Curious whether people here have found that certain iconic destinations peaked for them before they visited, and whether anything genuinely surprised them at that tier.

What did you guys do to get jobs in the industry?

I have a rather ambitious goal of being an art director or visual merchandiser in brands such as dior or ysl, or atleast work in something very close to it. Currently im on the path of choosing a major for college and im leaning towards fine art. But i was curious on what others did to get jobs similar to it or in the industry and what they did to get there

Swarovski customer service is awful

I'm kind of baffled. I have gotten bad/inaccurate information from their online chat reps, who often can't type using simple proper grammar. I've emailed them and don't get responses other than the automated notice that my message was received.

The customer service is really pathetic and kind of shocking considering how they position themselves as high end.

What do others think?

Fashion Weird as hell request - need a photo of two Gucci items a 30 y/o male would wear

Hi! I am working on a project for work and am making basically a mood board.

I need a picture of two Gucci items that a 30 year old male would wear. They need to look somewhat used. One also needs to be a bag that’s north of $2000.

Would anyone have something laying around that they can take a picture of? Ideally one picture for each item and then one picture with both.

I’ll happily send whoever provides this $15 on Venmo or PayPal. I recognize that’s not a lot but hopefully can get yourself a nice treat or coffee with it.

Thank you!

Jewelry A Night at Tiffany & Co (Private Shopping Lounge)

For those who might not be aware Tiffany & Co have special private lounges inside some of their iconic stores across the globe. These lounges are used to host private shopping events for brand loyal clients whom have an esblished relationship with the company. On this night, under a rouse for which I was the victim of the hox, we visit our local Tiffany boutique. We review a few pieces on the ground floor and then we suddenly get invited to the 2nd floor to review Tiffany's "other less common" pieces. (Which I later learned was orchestrated by eldest son and his wife who are devoted patron of the brand) We are invited come up to sit in a private lounge on the 2nd floor where im presented with a gift that had been on my wish list for several months. The very capable, professional, and genuinelly engaging staff made us feel very welcomed. The experience was memorable and as such, my beloved husband surprised me with the purchase of another 2 articles which had never been part of any of our future purchases. 1 gift turned into 3, and I was reluctant to accept them, but ultimately we came into an agreement.
