Question 10 star map question

Currently on 9* map and feel comfortable killing most 9* monsters after a while, but I notice the map is like 30% 9* monsters. I notice my friend's 10* map simply adds riftborne status to a lot of the stuff I also have, and I was wondering what the distribution of monsters actually is on the 10* map?

Like, what percent is 10* vs 9* etc? Do you think it's worth pushing the 10* map if I don't plan on killing any 10* monsters but want more rift parts and r6 materials?

Go for the unlock. You'll be fine.

Most monsters I see are 8 and 9⭐️, 10⭐️ do not spawn in a manner that leaves you overwhelmed.

Less than 10% are 10 star then around 20% are 9 stars.

I have gone days without seeing a single 10s monster. You can compare with your friend's map. Take a section and compare. 1:1 ratio.

Is it always like this? No. sometime events there are lots of 10s. Where I see 4 a day. Most events like this one where I seen maybe 3 for the whole week.

The real benefit is the massive amount of more yellows (since everything is 6 or higher) and reds (Most of your 7s are now 8s.) And hunting higher grade monsters has a higher droprate of rare items. (It's like 30% more per grade)

I recommend upgrading once you are comfortable with 9 grade monsters. 9's are my majority. It's ok to "lose" out on 10s you are uncomfortable on defeating. You don't need to push yourself, unless you want to. They are adding more and more rewards for defeating 10 monsters. Like the Season 10 climax event. Where 10s are guaranteed 5k or 10k zenny. In ~4 months from now (season 12). They are adding a new resource that only drops from 10s. So eventually you'll have to do it. They should have more information with tomorrows livestream.

You can go days without seeing one, only to spawn in spot with 5 in one place.

I unlocked the 10* map and haven't regretted it once. You get to a point where the only monsters worth killing are 8* and above, 10* map is perfect for that, and 10* are somewhat actually on the rare side, I'd say 1/20 or 1/30 maybe. Just unlock it you'll see.

I just checked my game, out of 43 monsters on the screen, 1 is 10, 5 are 6, 28 are 8, 9 are 9
