If you don't know Um, Actually features *very* nerdy statements that part or all of are incorrect. Contestants ring in and say "Um, Actually..." and correct the statement. Well I've been watching this gem from Dropout TV (it's online streaming, used to be College Humor) and evidently MST3K is nerdy enough for them! in S01E22 they threw out this bad boy and I'm pleased to report someone was able to correctly identify which part was false!

If you want to know the answer is: They never say how Joel eats or breathes -- or other science facts (la la la).

P.S. -- You should totally check out Dropout TV, it isn't terribly expensive and the content is consistently some of my favorite from any streaming service. Um, Actually is pedantic and nerdy (on purpose) but they have tons of other shows like Game Changer (a game show where the rules change every time) which can be *hysterical* at times.

My favorite host skits tend to be the skits where they take a scene from the movie they're watching, and they put their own little spin on it. They are just so unhinged and fun sometimes.

What do you think the best one is?

This isn't one I watch a lot, so I had no idea that voice actor legend Paul Frees actually directed this one. Good thing he had a good career to fall back on...

Tickets for the only Canadian theatre showing the debut of the RiffTrax experiments are now live!

The Mayfair theatre in Ottawa has three showings - Sept. 10, 12 and 13. Tickets are under 18 bucks for general admission.

We are driving from 2hrs outside Toronto for the Sept. 10 show, so it should be about 6 hours one way. Anyone else making this a road trip?

Creative types have made Crow and Servo, obviously. But there was also a Mike Doll (looked like a ventriloquist's dummy), I think from Prince of Space episode and Dr Forrester from the skit asking the crew which "mother figure" they preferred. The doll was so well done!

Imagine a "lofi bot" channel that streamed iconic MST3K songs in lofi. "Yipes stripes"?! The endless Creeping Terror dancing song?! Torgo's theme?!?! I'm putting this out into the world to manifest its existence.

This whole section gave them trouble.

Feels like to me about when the ownership changed, thumbnails look like very low quality Photoshop. I liked when they used the old illustrated art style from the movie poster parodies.

Seems kind of in bad taste, these days. Yes, it used to be hilarious when were friends. But these days, given the Infinite-Jest-esque world in which we live, every time Shout plays this gag I kind of get a bad feeling up in me :(
