connect / social / meet up Transfer Student

Hi everyone! I just transferred to MTSU from a CC, and I wanted to know the best advice for meeting people and getting involved in student life. I am a junior and I feel like I’ve missed out on a lot. It is only the first day and I’m a commuter so I am trying to give myself grace.

I am also a biology major concentrating in organismal and ecology and wanted to know the best way to utilize my major and involvement with research and labs, etc.

You should join SEA (students for environmental action). It’s a club that has a lot of members who have majors similar to you and they do a lot of environmental activism as well as cool outdoorsy trips. their instagram is @mtsu.sea

I transferred from a CC last Fall semester and what helped me a lot to connect with people was joining clubs! MTSU has lots of great student organizations - this semesters student org. fair is on Sept 2 (Weds) from 2-5 just outside the STU so if you have the time, you should check it out 😛

Interactive media 🙈! Also, there are often career fairs on campus so those are also great for networking
