Equipment Japan?
I recently bought a Brother KH965i with KR850 ribber and I'll be going to Japan in a few months. I've been trying to find accessories in the US (color changer, intarsia carriage, knitleader, brotherlink, garter carriage when I dream big, etc.) but I'm finding them to be rare and/or expensive. It occurred to me that as a Japanese machine things may be easier to find there. If you live in or have traveled to Japan, is that the case? Any recommendations?

I’ve bought several from Japan on eBay but I have yet to find a knitting machine store in Japan. I saw a second hand store that had a couple of machines but no accessories.

I am going to Japan in November. According to perplexity (AI, I know), Okadaya shinjuku) has knitting machines on the 5th floor. As I plan to visit this store anyway, I will go and take a look. I have an empisal knitmaster, which I understand is the same as silver reed.

You can find most of what you need on eBay or Etsy. I usually go to this account when I need smaller accessories: https://www.ebay.com/str/leannecoknitting.

Alas, I even emailed the Brothers museum for help identifying an orphan carriage. They responded, please send pictures. Then nothing.

Actually, there are no stores specializing in knitting machines in Japan either. The mainstream way to get the machines and accessories is through person-to-person sales on online auctions or marketplace apps.Even then, you'll need to wait patiently for items to pop up in your desired price range....
You would need to either check with your booked hotel to see if they can hold packages for you while buying directly from https://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/ or https://jp.mercari.com/ , or use a proxy buying service to have them shipped overseas.
